2. 2 Power on your BigPad
Hold do wn t he Po wer k ey unti l th e BigPad pow er s on. It wi ll t ake a few sec on ds befo re the sc reen li gh ts up.
Set up yo ur BigPad for th e fi rst tim e: The fir st t ime you p ower on the B igPad , you s ho uld set t he follo wi ng opti on s: Inpu t me thod, G oo gle acc ount, Loc ation , et c.
Power of f your Bi gPa d: Hold do wn t he Po wer k ey from t he Home s cr een unt il t he BigPad optio ns a ppear , se lect Power off.
2. 3 Installing or removing the microSD card
1) To install microSD card, s ta rt by takeout niddle pin from user manual box.
2) Use niddle pin to open card tr ay .
3) Place the microSD card i nt o th e sl ot .

To avoid data loss and SD card damage, before removing the SD card, please ensure th at t he S D ca rd is unmounted (Settings\Storage\Unmount SD card).
3.Personalize your Xess
3.1 Home screen

3.2 Use the touchscreen
Touch【icon】 To access an appl ic at ion, touc h it w it h your finger . Touch and hold【ic on】 Touch and hold th e it em to enter t he a vailabl e op ti ons. Drag【icon】 Place you r fi ng er on the scree n to drag an obje ct t o another l oc at ion. Swipe /S li de【icon】 Swipe t he s creen at de sk top to view m or e objects in yo ur Xess. Silde the s cr een up and down t o sc roll thro ugh the applica ti on s, images, we b pages, etc. Pinch/S pr ead【icon】 Place you r fi ng er s of one ha nd o n th e screen su rfac e an d zoom in/o ut t he p ictures o r pages.
3.3 Status bar and Quick setting panel
From th e st at us bar, y ou c an v iew both Xess s ta tu s (on the right sid e of the home scr ee n) and do quick s et ti ngs by Quick setting b ar (on the middl e- top of th e ho me s creen).

3. 5 Volume adjustment
You ca n set the media, ri ng tone, notif ic at ion volumes b y press t he v olume up/down key at bac k si de of Xess.

6.Factor y data reset
To activate fac to ry data reset:
Touch Setting s\ Ba ckup and re se t\ Fac tory dat a reset.
Res et ting the BigPad will era se a ll of your pe rs on al d ata fro m inter na l Bi gPa d st orage, incl ud in g informati on a bo ut all your Acco un t, your syste m an d ap plication s et ti ngs, and any downloa de d applicati on s. I f you res et t he B igPad i n th is way, you're p rompted t o re-ente r th e sa me kind of in fo rmation as when you fi rs t st ar te d your BigPad. When you ar e unable to pow er o n your BigPad, you can perform a facto ry data re se t by pressi ng t he Po we r key and the Volu me u p key at the sa me t im e un til the scree n li ghts up.
7.Making the most of your BigPad
7. 1 Upgrade

Download BigPad Upgrade from the Xess website (www.tcl-xe ss .c om ) an d in st al l it o n yo ur P C. L au nc h th e
tool and update you r Bi gPad by following the step by step instructions (re fe r to t he U se r Gu id e provided together with the tool). Your BigPa d's sof tware wi ll n ow have the latest sof tware. A ll p er so na l in fo rm at io n wi ll b e permanently lost following the update pro ce ss . We recommend you bac ku p yo ur p er so na l da ta u si ng S ma rt Suite before upgrading.
7. 1. 2 FOTA Upgrade
Using the F OTA Up grade too l yo u ca n update yo ur B ig Pad 's sof twar e. To access Sys tem updates , touch Setti ng s\ Syste m up dates. Touch Check for u pd ates, and the B ig Pad wil l se arch for th e lates t soft ware. If yo u wa nt to update th e sy stem, ple as e touch D ow nl oad, and af te r it i s do ne please tou ch I ns tall to complet e th e upgrade. Now yo ur B igPad 's s oftware w il l be the lates t ve rsion.
