Power up
Connect your power cable to the projector, then plug it in to the wall outlet.
Power your projector remote by inserting the included batteries.
Note:
• Pay attention to the positive and negative poles when installing batteries in the remote control.
• When battery leaks, immediately wipe away any fluid with a dry cloth and replace the batteries with new ones.
• Dispose of used batteries according to local waste disposal rules and regulations of the country or area you live in.

• Do not place any objects near the vents, as this may cause heat to build up inside the projector.
• Do not look directly into the lens so as to avoid eye damage as this projector emits strong light during use.

Note: When plugging in the power source for the first time, the power
button light will flash for 3 seconds then turn solid.
• Touch the power button and all button lights will light up to activate the device.
Back Autofocus
Confirmation
• The button lights will remain lit for 30 seconds after the last touch.
Note: Please do not wear gloves when pressing the buttons, use your fingers to touch directly. Dry or humid weather may affect the touch effect.
Remote Control Pairing
1. Press and hold Home and Back buttons at the same time for 3 seconds.
2. The remote control light will flash red for 3 seconds, then release the buttons and wait for pairing.
Note: Keep the remote control within 12 in of the projector.

Connectivity
DC: Connect your projector to the power source with the
included power cable.
HDMI: Connect cable box, Blu-ray player, gaming console, or
other devices to your projector using HDMI cables.
IR Sensor: Remote control signal reception.
USB: Connect a USB device to access photos, music, and movies
Audio Out: The projector has a built-in speaker that can play
audio, you can connect the projector to external self-powered speakers through the Audio Output port.
Power on your equipment
1. Plug in the projector. The power light turns on.
2. Press the power button on the body or remote control to turn it on.
3. The following screen appears.

Dashboard
4. Connect to your wireless network by selecting Dashboard > Settings > WiFi.
Now you can enjoy pre-installed apps on your projector.
Connect to computer or video device
1. Turn on your computer or video device.
2. Connect one end of an HDMI cable to the projector’s HDMI port and the other end to an HDMI port on your video device or computer.
3. Find Inputs from the Home Screen or Settings and select HDMI.
Bluetooth Speaker Mode
Your projector can also be used as a speaker.
1. Press button on the remote control to enter the projector settings menu.
2. Select Bluetooth Speaker Mode and turn it on.
3. Following the instruction to pair with the preferred device.
Note: If the Bluetooth connection is not established within the time specified, the projector will turn off the screen. You can press and hold for more than 2 seconds to turn the screen back on to reconnect the Bluetooth device.
You can turn off the Light-Strip in the Bluetooth speaker mode, Go to Settings > Advanced Settings by pressing button.

Keystones & Focus
Projector's autofocus feature ensures that the projected image is as sharp as possible without the user having to manually adjust the projector's focus.
There are three ways to enable Autofocus on TCL Smart Projector:
1. Turn on Autofocus by going to Settings > Projector > Focus > Auto Focus.
2. Gently move the projector to trigger the autofocus mechanism.
3. Press and hold the Focus button on the remote to trigger autofocus.
Activate manual keystone with the following steps:
Go to Settings > Projector > Image Correction > Manual Keystone
Correction.
Note: When you power on the projector or move it to another
location, the projector automatically performs keystone correction. You can turn on Auto Keystone Correction in projector Settings.
Ceiling installation instructions
Note: The projector accepts 1/4" thread screw for installation
purposes. Do not hang anything on the projector when hanging.

Troubleshooting

No image
Image is fuzzy or blurry
No sound or the volume level is too low

If projector has overheated and turned off
HDMI connection problem
Turn off the projector and disconnect from the power, then plug in the power cord and turn on the projector.
• Clean the projector lens with a soft cloth.
• Use auto focus or manual focus.
• Press volume buttons on the remote control.
• Adjust the volume level of the source device.
• Check that the remote control batteries are installed correctly. If necessary, replace the batteries.
• Ensure you are operating the remote control within the reception angle and range of the projector.
• Note: the projector will not respond to remote commands when warming up or shutting down.
Leave off and let it cool down for about five minutes, then do the following:
• Ensure that the vents and air filter are not clogged with dust or obstructed by nearby objects.
• If the problem persists, unplug the projector and restart in five minutes.
• Ensure the HDMI Input is selected on the projector.
• Ensure the device is securely connected to the projector's HDMI port.
• Remove and re-insert the power adapter from the projector.

1 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
TCL Technology Holding Limited, offers a 1 year limited warranty on selected TCL devices that are found to be defective in materials or workmanship upon submission of the following items:
1. The warranty card is properly completed and submitted,

2. Proof of purchase – consisting of original invoice or sales slip
indicating the date of purchase, dealer’s name, model and serial number of the product.
General Terms and Conditions
This warranty is confined to the first purchaser of the product only and is not applicable to cases other than defects in material, design and workmanship.

Periodic checks, maintenance, repair and replacement of parts due to normal wear and tear.
Abuse or misuses, including but not solely limited to the failure to use this product for its normal purposes or in accordance with TCL’s instructions on usage and maintenance.
Defects resulting from usage of the product in conjunction with accessories that are not approved by TCL for use with this product.

TCL’s 1 Year Limited Warranty will abide by the following options regarding claims:
1. Repair the TCL product using new or previously used parts that are
equivalent to new in performance and reliability
2. Replace the TCL product with the same model (or with a product
that has similar functionality) formed from new and/or previously used parts that are equivalent to new in performance and reliability, also;
a. When a TCL product or part is replaced or provided, any
replacement item becomes the customer’s property and the replaced or refunded item becomes TCL’s property
b. TCL will not provide any data transfer service. This is the customer’s
responsibility. TCL shall not be liable for the loss of any saved/ stored data in products that are either repaired or replaced. Customer should maintain a separate backup copy of the contents of the device’s data.
3. Repair or Replacement of any TCL product under the terms of this
warranty does not provide right to extension or renewal of the warranty period.

4. Warranty repairs are available free of charge at TCL authorized
repair centers for products that comply with the General Terms and Conditions of this warranty. Shipping cost of the defective product(s) to TCL authorized repair center is to be paid by the customer. The customer is responsible for any damage to the defective product during shipment to the authorized repair center.
5. This warranty is not transferrable. This warranty will be the purchasers’
sole and exclusive remedy and neither TCL nor its service centers shall be liable for any incidental or consequential damages or breach of any express or implied warranty of this product.
6. This warranty extends to products purchased and sold within the
United States and Canada. All products sold in United States will be subject to their respective state and federal laws. All products purchased in Canada will be subject to Canadian laws.
