1. BEFORE GETTING STARTED

TCAT Multimedia Navigator is the GPS (Global Positioning System) equipment supporting multimedia features such as music player, movie player and external DVD connection. The 7 inch LCD WVGA (800x480) with true color (16.7M colors) display will give best quality to fulfill your entertainment needs inside the vehicle.
1-2. GPS (Global Positioning System)
Built-in high performance GPS device helps the Navigation software to work in a stable performance.
GPS performance for time retrieving and geometric position detection can be varied according to the atmosphere status & embedded battery charging level.
1-3. Using external storage
TCAT Multimedia Navigator supports two types of external storage device -SD Card & USB storage-
SD Card includes Navigation software and system operation software on it. You can add your media files -music or video- in free spaces on SD card.

Quick guide
Using the USB connection, you can use USB memory stick or USB type external HDD (up to 32GB). Take note: only FAT (or FAT32) file system can be supported on external storage. -If your external device is formatted with NTFS file system, it cannot be detected.
And power supplying for the USB connection is up to 500mA as the USB interface standard. High power consumption external HDD storage can not be detected.
1-4. External audio
You can use built-in stereo speaker & OEM audio aux input simultaneously or exclusively.
If you turn on Aux mode on radio, you can enjoy car audio through car audio system & navigation software voice through the car’s speakers.
1-5. Operation
All user operations are done through the Touch Screen Panel.
Just click the ICON button on the screen you want to use.

3-1. Volume control
There are two types of volume, system volume & player volume.
The system volume is the master volume of the system.
All sound for all software is controlled by this volume control. And the player volume is the relative volume to the system volume for each player. Music, Movie, Ipod and Bluetooth support player volume.

Few seconds after playing the movie, menus are automatically disappeared to full screen movie display mode. To reopen the menu, just click the screen. And click the movie display area again to move to the full screen mode.

Before you can use a phone with Navigator, it must be authenticated. This is also referred to as Pairing a device.
Click PAIR button on Bluetooth Main screen. The PIN CODE message will appear.
From your phone, search for Bluetooth device “J100-TEANA”
When prompted by your phone. Input the PIN CODE.
Refer to the owner’s manual of your phone for more details on searching for Bluetooth devices.
If available on your phone, set J100-Teana as “Automatically Connect”.

13-1. How to start
The TRIP display will show automatically whenever the car’s radio or A/C settings are changed.
If you operate the audio or A/C, TRIP Bar will be displayed at the top of the screen. And disappears automatically after 3-4second.
If you with to view the TRIP full screen, just click the TRIP icon on main menu.
TRIP full screen does not disappear automatically. Just click the screen on TRIP (full or bar) screen to return to previous menu.
Selecting either MUSIC, MOVIE, IPOD or BLUETOOTH will automatically switch the radio to Aux mode. In addition, the Navigator’s speakers are muted when switching aux mode.

Just click the screen on CLOCK mode screen. It returns to main menu mode.
Time and Date is updated via GPS antenna. It will not be updated when vehicle does not have GPS reception. Eg: Underground parking.
SETTING menu is composed of four sub parts, SYSTEM, SCREEN, USER and INFO.
To move the SETTING sub mode, just click the tab title.

LCD brightness can be configured into day & night mode by specifying the time range.
By dragging the bar, you can set the LCD brightness for day and night mode. The range is 0 to 15.
You should specify the time range for day and night mode in AUTO mode.
In this case, day bright will be used from 7 AM to 7 PM. And night bright will be used from 7 PM to 7 AM.
Brightness is automatically changed according to the time from GPS.
For manual selection of DAY/NIGHT modes, please use the DAY or NIGHT buttons.

SPEAKER OUT option controls the built-in speakers (Behind the LCD monitor).
When it sets to [ON], built-in speakers are turned-ON.
When it sets to [OFF], built-in speakers are turned-OFF.
15-4. Touch screen calibration

All operation is performed through the touch screen. If the touch position is incorrect, you can calibrate touch position using the [CALIBRATION] button.
15-5. Parking lines show

PARKING LINES SHOW option controls the parking lines (When reverse parking).
When it sets to[ON], parking lines will be displayed.
When it sets to[OFF], parking lines will not show up.

You can enable/disable shortcut menu / MUSIC PIP buttons on Navi mode.

15-9. Booting Logo Change
Click SETTING on main menu and USER tab.
You can change the boot logo.
Copy images into the BootImage folder inside the SD card.
Double-click the file you want from the list and the right viewer window will display thumbnails of the selected picture.
When you click the [Apply] button, the selected image will replace the current boot screen.
