Important Safeguards

When using electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the
following:

Ÿ Read all instructions
Ÿ To protect against fire, electric shock and personal injury, do not immerse cords, plugs, or the

appliance in water or other liquid.

Ÿ Keep the appliance away from children.
Ÿ Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord/plug or if it had been damaged in any manner.
Ÿ Attachments not recommended by the manufacturer may cause injuries.
Ÿ Do not use the appliance for other than its intended use.
Ÿ Never fill hot water in the reservoir. Fill with COLD water only.
Ÿ Handle the appliance carefully when containing hot liquid.
Ÿ Do not hold the carafe containing hot liquid over people.
Ÿ Do not heat the carafe on the range or other heating plate.
Ÿ Do not use the carafe if it is cracked.
Ÿ Do not let the cord hanging over the edge of a table, counter top or any hot surface.
Ÿ Unplug the appliance from the outlet before cleaning.
Ÿ This coffee maker will automatic shut-off after operating one hour. Always turn off the power and

unplug the appliance from the outlet after use.

Using Your Coffee Maker

1. Before using the coffee maker for the first time

Ÿ Before using the coffee maker for the first time, please check if the appliance is in a good

condition.

Ÿ Operate the appliance by using water only, without placing the coffee powder/bag into the

coffee brew basket. This will remove the dust inside the coffee maker.

Ÿ Place the coffee maker on a flat surface.
Ÿ Connect the appliance to a proper ground power supply.

2. During the operation

Ÿ Push power switch at OFF position
Ÿ Open the coffee bag
Ÿ Place the coffee filter/bag in brew basket
Ÿ Open the lid and fill with cold water with carafe
Ÿ Close the lid and brew basket
Ÿ Place carafe on warming plate
Ÿ Turn on the power
Ÿ Enjoy your coffee
Ÿ If you need to make more coffee, turn off the power first, and then wait at least 5 minutes

before filling with cold water into the water tank.

3. Clean and care the coffee maker

Ÿ This coffee maker will automatic shut-off after operating one hour. Always turn off the power

and unplug the appliance from the outlet using it.

Ÿ Before cleaning, unplug the power cord from the outlet, and wait unit the appliance is cooled

off.

Ÿ Wipe the coffee maker and brew funnel with a soft and damp clothe. Never immerse the

appliance in water or wash it directly by water.

Ÿ Never use harsh or abrasive cleaners to clean the coffee maker or carafe.

Tatung Limited Warranty

Tatung Company of America, Inc (“Tatung”) warrants to you, the original owner of this new Tatung Coffee maker
that all parts of this product are free from defects in material and workmanship, for 90 days from the date of
purchase under normal use and services.

Tatung will, at our option, repair or replace the product or any part that becomes defective, malfunctions, or
otherwise fails to conform to this warranty under normal use and service during the term of this warranty, at no
charge to you for parts and labor.

This warranty dose not cover:

1. Defects, malfunctions or failures resulting from causes beyond the control of Tatung or the manufacture
of the product, including, but no limited to , shipping or transit accidents, abuse, misuse operation
contrary to furnished instruction, improper or insufficient ventilation, operation with incorrect power
supplies, operation with faulty associated equipment, modification, alternation, improper servicing, acts
of God, tampering or normal wear and tear;

2. Products on which the serial number had been altered, defaced or removed;

3. Products purchased outside of the United States.

Should any product submitted for warranty service be found ineligible for warranty service, we will provide you
with an estimate of the cost of repair and will repair the product upon your request and upon receipt of payment
or acceptable arrangements for payment.

Carry-In or Mail-in Service

You must carry-in or mail-in your product at you cost during the limited warranty period (90 days from the date
of purchase). This limited warranty only applies to products purchased and serviced in the United States. This
Limited Warranty is extended only to the original purchaser and only covers product purchased as new. A
purchase receipt or the proof of the original purchase date is required for Limited Warranty Services. For the
Limited Warranty Service, contact Tatung Service Department at 1-800-827-2850.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, or limitations on
how long an implied Limited Warranty lasts, so the exclusions may not apply to you.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state.
This is the only express warranty applicable to the products. Tatung neither assumes nor authorized anyone to
assume for it any other express warranty.

THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS CONDITIONED ON AND BECOMES EFFECTIVE UPON DATE OF PURCHASE.
