Introduction
Thank you for your purchase of the Targus USB 2.0 DVD-ROM Drive. The drive features a USB cable which stores under the drive. This DVD drive is a plug and play device and requires no driver setup.

Connecting the Drive to Your Computer
If using a Netbook or laptop computer, it should be powered OFF before connecting the DVD drive.
1. Remove the USB cord from the bottom of the drive.
2. Plug the USB cord into the drive.
3. Connect the other end of the USB cord to your computer.
NOTE: THIS DVD DRIVE REQUIRES CONSTANT POWER FROM YOUR NETBOOK OR LAPTOP COMPUTER. IF THE NETBOOK OR LAPTOP BATTERIES ARE LOW OR DRAINED, YOU MAY NEED TO CHARGE OR PLU G IN THE COMPUTER TO PROVIDE ENOUGH POWER.

To Load a Disc:
To load a disc, slide the OPEN latch to the right to release the top cover and insert a disc.
NOTE: PLEASE MAKE SURE THE DISC IS EVENLY AND SECURELY PLACED.
To Remove a Disc:
To remove a disc, press the button on the top cover and wait for the disc to stop spinning. Slide OPEN latch to the right to relase the top cover. Lift the disc off the pivot and remove.
NOTE: NETBOOKS AND LAPTOPS USUALLY HAVE A DVD PLAYER SOFTWARE (CODEC) ALREADY LOADED AND PREINSTALLED. IF YOURS DOES NOT, YOU WILL NEED TO DOWNLOAD OR PURCHASE SOFTWARE IN ORDER TO WATCH DVDS. PLEASE VISIT WWW.TARGUS.COM/SUPPORT.ASP FOR ADDITIONAL DETAILS.

Warranty
Targus warrants this product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one year. If your Targus accessory is found to be defective within that time, we will promptly repair or replace it. This warranty does not cover accidental damage, wear and tear, or consequential or incidental loss. Under no conditions is Targus liable for loss of, or damage to devices; nor loss of, or damage to, programs, records, or data; nor any consequential or incidental damages, even if Targus has been informed of their possibility. This warranty does not affect your statutory rights.
