Congratulations on your purchase of the Targus DEFCON 3 Security
System - you have selected the most advanced personal property protection
available. Now your briefcase, computer, and other personal property are
as safe on the road as they are in your home or office!
This user’s guide provides descriptions of the DEFCON 3 features and
functions, and gives instructions for installing the batteries, activating,
programming, arming, disarming, and deactivating the DEFCON 3 alarm
unit.

ACTIVATING THE ALARM UNIT
The DEFCON 3 Security System is designed to work with a specific
remote control. To activate the alarm unit, you must first transmit a signal
from its remote control device. Once the alarm unit has received the unique
remote control ID code, it only responds to that remote control and ignores
other signals.
