Operation and Maintenance Guide
Better – Faster – Every time
Operation
In conjunction with the Bazooka Pump, the Bazooka® Gooseneck fills the automatic taper. The
Bazooka Gooseneck features a tool-less connection and has an integrated gasket.
To fill the automatic taper, attach the tool-less Bazooka gooseneck to the discharge tube
by engaging the quick release clamps.
Place the Bazooka® Pump in the bucket of joint compound, with the foot outside the bucket,
making sure the joint compound is well mixed and lump free. Stabilize the pump by stepping on
the foot. A new or freshly cleaned Bazooka® Pump may need to be primed before use by pouring
1/2 cup of water into the outlet. Once the Bazooka® Pump is full of joint compound no further priming
is needed. Proceed with filling the tool by pumping the comfort-grip handle until the tool is full.
To remove the gooseneck, detach the clamps and pull the gooseneck from the discharge tube.
Maintenance
Remove the gooseneck from the Bazooka® Pump and clean thoroughly with a brush and
water (or a water hose) to remove all joint compound. Then, after the tool is clean, lightly oil with
Ames® Bazooka® Oil or any light machine oil.
