The Reveal 6 combines all the heritage and purity of the original Reveal series with the very latest in technology. The result is a no-nonsense nearfield reference monitor with deep, punchy bass, clean and open mid-range and unrivalled vocal intelligibility. Combine the Reveal 6 with your preferred power amplifier and hear just how good a passive reference monitor can sound.
Just because a speaker sounds great in one room doesn’t mean it will sound great in your studio. Room acoustics, speaker placement and monitoring distance play a great role in the way a speaker sounds. Until now there wasn’t much you could do about that without spending more money on expensive equalisers and a professional acoustician to place the speakers and tune them to the room.
Tannoy’s exclusive Activ-Assist™ technology ensures that the great-sounding monitors we build will sound great where it matters; right there in your studio! It all starts with Activ-Assist™ software running on a PC/MAC with a sound card. The program automates the acoustic measurement process and allows you to measure the speakers in the room like a pro.
Once the measurement is made the software calculates the right settings from over 2,000 potential choices. Tuning the speaker is as simple as setting the switches on the rear panel to match the graphic on the computer screen. In seconds your Reveal D monitors have been tuned and optimised for the room with the same degree of precision that is used in some of the world’s best recording studios.
Activ-Assist™ software is available at no charge from www.tannoy.com for use with your own measurement microphone. A calibrated Tannoy measurement microphone is also available as an accessory from your local Tannoy dealer.
Automated speaker measurement system for Reveal D studio monitors Recommends speaker EQ settings from 2,000 options Performs dual-channel FFT measurements of great precision Fool-proof on screen wizard-driven design Free software works with all Reveal D-series models
