The objective of every Tangent product is that fundamentally correct design can produce a
product capable of achieving excellent performance and aordability. Please take time to
read the following safety instructions.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION: Risk of electrical shock. Do not open the
unit.
1. Read, keep and follow these instructions.
2. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s
instructions.
3. Do not install near any heat sources such as
radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other
apparatus (including ampliers) that produce
heat.
4. Only use attachments/accessories specied by
the manufacturer.
5. Protect the power card from being walked
on or pinched, particularly at plugs,
convenience receptacles, and the point where
they exit from the apparatus.
6. Unplug this apparatus during lighting storms or
when unused for long periods of time.
7. Do not let objects or liquids enter the product.
8. Refer all servicing to qualied service personnel.
Servicing is required when the apparatus has
been damaged in any way, such as power supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been
spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus,
the apparatus has been exposed to rain or
moisture, does not operate normally, or has
been dropped.
9. Opening the unit by unauthorized personnel
will void the limited warranty.
CAUTION: Use of controls or adjustments or
performance of procedures other than herein may
result in hazardous radiation exposure or other
unsafe operation.
Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to avoid making
scratches to the surface. Do not use cleaning alcohol,
or other solvent uids to clean the surface of the
Cabinet as this can both damage the coating and
also cause electrical failures and re if it enters
the electronics in the unit! Before cleaning, please
unplug the unit from the AC power outlet.
Overloading: To prevent risk of re or electric shock,
avoid overloading wall outlets or extension cords.
Open re: keep this sound system a safe distance
away from any open ame such as a lit candle. No
open ame sources, such as lighted candles, should
be placed on the unit.
Operating temperatures: The recommended
operating temperature range for the sound system
is 5 to 40 degrees Celsius (41 to 104 degrees
Fahrenheit).
Label location: The product labels and safety related
markings are located on the back of the unit and the
power adaptor.
Unplugging while in operation: Do not remove the
AC power cord if music is playing.
Batteries in the remote control: Keep the remote
control battery away from children. It may cause a
re or chemical burn if mishandled. Do not recharge,
disassembled, heat above 100 degrees Celsius (212
degrees Fahrenheit). Replace only with a battery of
the correct type and model number. (CR2025)
CAUTION: Risk of explosion if battery is replaced
incorrectly.
Used batteries: Please dispose of used batteries
properly, following the local regulations. Do not
place the battery in re.
This product can be recycled. Products bearing this
symbol must NOT be thrown away with normal
household waste. At the end of the product’s life,
take it to a collection point designated for recycling
of electrical and electronic devices. Find out more
about return and collection points through your local
authority.

BLUETOOTH PAIRING
1. Power on your Spectrum X5BT.
2. On the remote, select Bluetooth.
3. Please make sure that the Bluetooth function is enabled on your Bluetooth Audio
Device.
4. On the remote, select Pair. This will put your Spectrum X5BT into detectable
state. Front LED will blink quickly.
5. On your Bluetooth Audio Device, please select Tangent Spectrum. If you are
asked for code please use 1234 or 0000.
6. If pairing is successfull, front LED will stay solid.
Pairing between your Spectrum X5BT and your Bluetooth Audio Device is to be
made only once. Further connections will not need pairing.
REMOTE CONTROL OF YOUR BLUETOOTH AUDIO DEVICE
Using the Spectrum X5BT remote control, you will be able to use the following
order:
- Play
- Pause
- Next track
- Previous Track
For this to work, your Bluetooth Audio Device will need to be compatible with
AVRCP

CONNECT A CD PLAYER, TV, DVD
Connect your MP3 player with 3,5 mm mini-jack cable to AUX 2 imput.
CAUTION : When connecting audio cable, make sure your speakers are turned o.
Connect any audio analog stereo source with RCA cable.

CONNECT A DIGITAL AUDIO SOURCE
CONNECT A POWERED SUBWOOFER
In order to get the best audio quality, please use the digital input of the Spectrum
X5BT.
Those digital input are only compatible with stereo signal (PCM).
If you need more bass, you can connect a powered Subwoofer to your Spectrum
X5BT by using an analog RCA cable.

CHARGING YOUR DEVICE
In case of low battery of your device, you can charge it on the USB plug at the back
of your Spectrum X5BT.
This USB plug is limited to 5V/ 500mA.
