Section Name and Functions
Power Switch: Turn the power ON/OFF FEED Button: Push this button to feed roll paper. Cover Opening Button: Push this to open the cover when you replace roll paper. Error LED: Lights up when an error occurred. Power LED: Lights up when the unit is ON. Paper Cutter: Use this cutter when cut off the paper. Power Source Input: Insert the plug of AC adapter. Screw Hole: Screw holes for fixing this printer. DIP Switch: Use these switch for the setting of printer. Battery Compartment Lid: Remove this when insert/replace batteries or change printer settings.

Paper and Battery Setting
!
Warning: Do not set battery wrong position. Battery may burst.
1. Push cover opening button to open the cover.
2. Insert thermal paper to the printer by 1 direction.
3. Pull out the edge of the paper 2 direction, then confirm that the paper is set straight.
Note: loose of roll paper may cause jam. Please remove loose of the paper before setting. Note: If jammed, do not pull the paper without cover opening.
4. If you want to use this printer by battery, please set batteries as follows.
<In case of alkaline battery> <In case of nickel hydride battery>

Connection to Tanaka Testers
1. Change/confirm the baud rate of TANAKA Tester to 9600 bps. See each tester’s Maintenance Manual.
2. Connect the printer and tester’s control unit with supplied RS-232C connecting cable.
3. Connect the plug of AC adapter to the printer, and then plug in the AC adapter to an electric outlet.
4. Turn ON the MAIN switch of the tester, then set Ext.out to Printer. See each tester’s Maintenance
Manual.
