Displays selected camera number to full screen.
Number buttons are also used to enter passwords.
NOTE: To select number 11 and up use the +10 button.

REC button
Starts recording when this button is pressed in live mode.

4.1.3 CAMEO Menu
In live screen, if the ENTER button of the remote control or front panel is pressed, a blue square cursor will
appear. If the ENTER button is pressed again, the CAMERA menu will appear.
▪ CAMEO CHANGE: The live camera view can be moved to a different camera channel.
Select the cameo change option to move the camera view to the new channel
▪ PLAYBACK : Playback on selected channel. (replays last15~20 seconds)
▪ FREEZE: Live screen of the selected channel can be paused.
▪ FREEZE ALL: Live screen of the all channels can be paused.
▪ SEQUENCE: Live view will rotate between cameras.

▪SPEED SETUP: Set the PTZ camera speed (1 to 8)
NOTE: If the mouse is used to move the PTZ camera, the movement speed depends on the position
of the mouse. As the mouse pointer moves away from the center the speed becomes faster.
▪PRESET SETUP:
Set the preset position. If the position setup is saved, PTZ camera can be directed to the preset position. ▪PRESET TOUR: 6 different preset list can be created. If the created preset lists are set to “ON”, movement is made with
preset tour.
▪PATTERN SETUP:
Pattern can be created by movement, zoom, focus and iris. After pressing the BEGIN button, adjust the
PTZ camera position or zoom and then press the END button. All directions (up, down, left and right),
zoom and iris settings are recorded.
▪ PATTERN TOUR: PTZ camera moves according to the saved pattern.
▪ AUTO FOCUS / POWER / LIGHT:
Auto focus, power and light functions can be turned on/off.
▪ OSD MENU: Turn on/off the OSD menu.
▪ ZOOM X2: Digital Zoom in x2.
▪ ZOOM X4: DigitalZoom in x4.
▪ ADUIO ON: Turn on/off Audio.

[SYSTEM]
▪ VIDEO FORMAT: Set the Camera Type (NTSC / PAL)
If menu is set to AUTO the DVR will recognize the camera type automatically.
NOTE: If NTSC and PAL cameras are connected simultaneously error may occur. ▪ LANGUAGE: Select the language.
▪ KEY TONE: Turn on/off the buzzer sound of key.
▪ UNIT ADDRESS: Sets the DVR ID.
This ID can be used to control multiple DVR’s with one IR remote control. ▪ BASE CAMERA NO: Sets the beginning number of camera.
Used when multiple DVR’s are in use for one installation
▪ MENU TIMEOUT: Sets the auto logout timer of the system.
▪ PLAYBACK PROTECT: Prohibits the recording of more than the selected number of days.
(Select 0 to 99 days. If set 3 days, can not playback the data older than 3 days.
▪ BACKUP CONFIRM: Confirms the backup process.
▪ HDD OVERWRITE: Select on/off to overwrite data on Hard disk.
NOTE: If set to [OFF], recording will be stopped automatically when disk is full.
▪ PLAYBACK MODE: This is playback quality option if the resolution is set D1.
[FRAME] : Played with original video.
[FIELD] : Played with de-interlace feature.

▪ TIMEZONE: Select the time zone and DST. The city which don’t use DST is set to [OFF] automatically.
▪ DATE DISPLAY: Display date on live screen or not.
▪ DATE / TIME: Change date and time.
▪ NTP: Select the usage of NTP setting.
DVR time is synchronized with NTP server for date and time.
The default server is [pool.ntp.org] and user can input other server.
[Sync now] : Synchronize immediately.
[Auto Sync] : Synchronize every day automatically.
▪ HOLIDAY: Add or delete holiday schedule.

▪ SIGNAL: Select on/off to use alarm by channel.
▪ ALARM SET: Check the alarm connection to ensure it is working properly.
Press the [SET] button then alarm device will be activated.

If you select the [AUTO] option, HDMI monitors will auto recognize the output resolution.

▪ OSG OUT: Select the monitor for menu screen to display.
▪ BORDER COLOR: Change the border color.

▪ When adding users new passwords are required.
▪ When deleting users you will need to confirm selection.
NOTE: (Default ADMIN password is 1111) Initial user name can be modified not deleted.
CAUTION:
Default Admin account must not be deleted before adding new users.
If default admin user is deleted before adding new users you can not access [SETUP] menu.

▪ ZONE ENABLE: Select On/Off to use. (LIVE mode/ SEARCH mode)
▪ ZONE COLOR: Select the color of privacy zone area.
▪ ZONE: Select the zone.
NOTE: Move the blue selection area to the desired location and press enter.
Drag and move it to include the desired area and press enter.
As a result the area is covered and hidden with the selected privacy zone color.
TIP: On the screen click the right button of the mouse and the menu will appear.
Using this menu the area can be deleted or saved.

In the Area setup, the highlighted square is shown at the left top side of the screen. Press enter and the
active area will be change to Green. Cover desired areas with active green color for motion detection.
NOTE : When the highlighted square is red you can freely move the selector to the desired area.
When the status active green color you can add or delete motion detection areas.
After setting the motion area select the MENU button to save your selection.

▪ PASSWORD: Input the password from the registered DDNS server.
▪ ROUTER IP : Select On/Off for sending IP information to the DDNS server.
If using a router this setting should be [ON].
▪STATUS: Check the connection status.
NOTE : For using DDNS server, first you must connect the DDNS server through a registered Host
name, User name password by entering the information in the setup menu.
Example for DDNSDVR:
a. In web browser, visit www.ddnsdvr.com
b. Click the [New Account] menu on the left menu.
c. Input the User / Email / Password that the user wants.
d. Click the [Log In] menu on the left menu and log in by the newly created account.
e. Click the [New Hostnames] and create a new host name.
In DVR menu input the full host name such as [Talos-SecurityDVR.ddnsdvr.com]
f. Click the [hostnames] and select the created hostname.

8.1 Firmware Upgrade
1. Copy the firmware on USB and connect to the
Memory Stick
USB port.
2. For upgrades restart the DVR.
3. After restart the upgrade window will appear,
select the START button.
4. After upgrade remove the USB and select ok.
Then the DVR will restart.
▪ NOTE: If you select OK without removing the USB
device the DVR upgrade process will start again.
5. After restart you can verify the upgrade process.
