1. Always work moving away from solid objects such as walls, large stones, automobiles and fences.
2. Clean spaces with corners by starting in corners and moving outward to straight areas to prevent an accumulation of debris which could fly into face.
3. Be careful when working near plants. The force of air could damage young plants.
4. Uses for your blower:
• Sweeping debris or grass clippings from
driveways, sidewalks, patios, parking lots.
• Gathering grass clippings, straw or leaves into
piles.
• Removing debris from corners, around joints and
between bricks.

SERVICING DOUBLE-INSULATED APPLIANCE In this double-insulated appliance, two systems of insulation are provided instead of grounding. No grounding means is provided on a double-insulated appliance, nor should a means for grounding be added to the appliance. There are no owner serviceable parts inside a doubleinsulated appliance marked with the words, “DOUBLE INSULATION” or “DOUBLE INSULATED”. The symbol (square within a square) may also be marked on the appliance. Any service must only be carried out by a qualified technician at an authorized service centre.
1. Place switch in “OFF” position and unplug the power supply before the appliance is serviced, cleaned or maintenance is performed.
2. Keep air intake clean and air vents free of debris to avoid overheating the motor.
3. Clean with a damp sponge and mild soap. Do not squirt with water, hose with water or other liquids.
4. No lubrication is necessary as the motor is equipped with lifetime lubricated bearings.
5. If the tool does not operate, turn switch to “OFF” position and disconnect from power supply first, then from tool. Check power supply for blown fuses or tripped circuit breakers. Do not attempt to repair it yourself. There are no owner serviceable parts inside.
• WET OR MOIST MATERIAL
Moist or freshly cut (green) material may collect in the vacuum/blower inlets of your machine. Avoid picking up this type of material or material which has moist soil mixed with it. Soil can compact within the inlets and fan housing causing a reduction in perform-
ance. To avoid the possibility of clogging alternate between dry and moist material to keep inlets and tubes clear.
Unclogging Car
Vacuum Inlet:
In some circumstances the internal tube of the car vacuum hose may become blocked by a build up of moist material adhering to the inner housing. To clear this area, follow the instructions below.
1. Switch off and disconnect machine from power
supply.
2. Remove the car vacuum hose from its tube clips and pull the adaptor out of the main housing. Fig. 9A.
3. Using a stick or small piece of timber, approximately 200mm long, clear the blocked area by pushing and scraping the material. This is best done when the material has dried and will flake more easily. Fig 9B.
4. Re-install the flexible hose and adaptor into the main
housing.
• Bark, Wood Chips, Seeds, Nuts,
AVOID COLLECTING SMALL HARD OBJECTS AS THESE CAN DAMAGE THE FAN. Under some operating conditions small, hard, objects such as pieces of bark, wood chip, tree nuts, seeds or twigs may be thrown by the fan into the car vacuum tube. In most cases this material will be sucked through the fan when the Car Vacuum function is engaged. However, some items may become lodged in the hose or in the narrow section of the crevice tool. Before operating the unit in car vacuum mode, check the tube and nozzle for material. To clear the tube, remove the crevice tool and shake or squeeze the hose. To clear the crevice tool tip the nozzle upside down. A light tap on the ground may be necessary.
Reinstall crevice tool to vacuum hose.
• STORAGE
1. Clean unit before storing.
• Free debris from air intake.
• Clean plastic parts with a mild soap and sponge dampened with warm water.
• Do not spray blower with water.
2. Store indoors in a dry area out of reach of children.
3. Do not leave extension cord lying on the ground once you have finished using the appliance. It can become a tripping hazard.
