Rollen Ketten, questo il signicato dell’acronimo RK che dagli
anni 1950 il produttore Giapponese Takasago decise di abbinare
al proprio nome.
RK è fornitore OEM dei più importanti produttori di motocicli,
tra cui Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki e Suzuki
RK supporta Team MotoGP, Moto2, Moto3, WSBK, WSSP, MXGP,

Japanese manufacturer Takasago decided to combine with his

COMPONENTI DELLA CATENA | CHAIN COMPONENTS
Una catena sigillata da 120 maglie è composta da 840 componenti:
• Perno: assorbono il peso ed il carico della catena. Sollecitato, il perno potrebbe piegarsi toccando
la boccola: questo fenomeno è denito allungamento della catena.
• Boccola: assorbe il carico del rullo quando è a contatto con l’ingranaggio. Questo componente
funge da “cuscinetto”, quindi deve resistere agli urti e all’abrasione.
• Rullo: ruota liberamente contro la boccola e la piastra interna. Necessita di regolare lubricazione
per ridurre l’effetto dell’attrito interno contro la boccola e quello esterno contro gli ingranaggi.
• Piastre: con il perno assorbe il carico e trasmette la potenza.
• Anello di tenuta: posizionato tra piastra interna ed esterna, sigilla il grasso contenuto tra perno
e boccola. Per realizzarlo viene usato del Nitrile speciale resistente al calore, all’abrasione, agli
agenti atmosferici e con un basso coefciente di attrito

A Link Seal chain is made of 840 Components:
• Pin: can be a shaft of connecting pins and can absorb weight of chain. By stretching, the pin
would rub against the inner bush and wear out. This phenomenon is called “elongation”.
• Bush: Absorb impact weight over roller when mesh with the sprocket. Also, the bush has a
bearing function, so shock and abrasion resistance are required.
• Roller: Rotate freely against the bush and inner plate. Need lubrication on a regular basis as
frictional wear occurs when absorbing high load against bushes as meshing with.
• Plate: absorb load with pin and transit its power.
• Sealed Ring: Rotate freely against the bush and inner plate. Need lubrication regularly as
frictional wear occurs when absorbing high load against bushes as meshing with sprocket.

Caratteristiche della catena sigillata:
• Vita minima 3 volte superiore rispetto ad una catena non sigillata
• Non subisce allungamenti no alla ne della sua vita evitando così la possibilità di un
accoppiamento non perfetto con pignone e corona che causerebbe un perdita di potenza
• Impedisce l’ingresso dello sporco al suo interno, garantendo una maggiore durata e costanza di
prestazioni
Tutti i RING di tenuta RK hanno un design con più zone di lubricazione dette Grease Pool.
Con lo scaldarsi della catena e lo scioglimento del grasso, le superci di contatto vengono lubricate
e si ottengono migliori performance grazie alla riduzione degli attriti.
Sealed Chain Features:
• Minimum life 3 times longer than an unsealed chain
• Does not undergo elongation until the end of its life thus avoiding the possibility of an imperfect
coupling with the pinion and crown which would cause a loss of power
• Prevents dirt from entering inside, guaranteeing longer life and constant performance
All RK sealing RINGs have a design with multiple lubrication areas called Grease Pools.
As the chain heats up and the grease melts, the contact surfaces are lubricated and better
performance is obtained thanks to the reduction of friction.
