Installation Instructions

The T02-00026-3002 Desktop Mount U-Cradle
Installation Kit is used for desktop installation of
mobile radios. The U-cradle can be attached to the T02­00036-xxxx Universal Input Power Supply Unit or any
other even surface.

The kit is supplied with four thumb screws to attach a
mobile radio, and two screws to mount the microphone
clip.

Mounting the U-Cradle to the Power Supply

The recommended position for the U-cradle is on the
top surface of the power supply, 2.4 inch (60mm)
from the front edge.

Caution When handling solvents. Follow the
manufacturer’s precautions and directions for use.

1 Use a solution of isopropanol and water (50/50) to

remove any oil or dirt from the top surface of the
power supply.

To ensure maximum bond strength, the
temperature of both the power supply and
the U-cradle should be above 68°F (20°C).

2 Remove the liners that protect the

adhesive surfaces on the bottom of the U­cradle.

3 Position the U-cradle on the top surface

of the power supply and press firmly
along the length of the U-cradle. Main­tain pressure for a minimum of 30 sec­onds to ensure maximum adhesion. Full
bond strength is achieved within 72
hours.

Mounting the Radio in the U-Cradle

1 Position the radio in the U-cradle so that the

mounting holes of U-cradle and radio line
up

2 With the four thumb screws, fasten the radio

at the desired angle.

Mounting the Microphone Clip

■ With supplied screws, mount the microphone

clip to the side of the U-cradle

Ensure that when the microphone is mounted in
the clip, the cable can freely hang down beside the
power supply.
