Important Safety Instructions

5. Cleaning - Unplug this product from the wall outlet before
cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners.
Use a damp, soft cloth for cleaning.
6. Water and Moisture - Do not use this product near water
- for example, near a bath tub, wash bowl, kitchen sing or
laundry tub; in a wet basement; or near a swimming pool;
and the like.
7. Accessorie s - Do not place this product on an unstable
cart, stand, tripod, bracket or table. The product may fall,
causing serious injury to a child or adult, and serious
damage to the product. Use only with a cart , stand, tripod,
bracket or table recommended by the manufacture, or sold
with the product. Any mounting of the product should follow manufacture’s instructions and should use a mounting
accessory recommended by the manufacture.
8. Ventilation - Slots and openings in the cabinet are provided
for ventilation and to ensure reliable operation of the product and to protect it from overheating, and these openings
must not be blocked or covered. The openings should
never be blocked by placing the product on a bed, sofa,
rug, or other smimilar surface. This product should not be
placed in a built-in installation such as a bookcase or rack
unless proper ventilation is provided or the manufacture’s
instructions have been adhered to.

9. Power Sources - This product should be operated only from
the type of power source indicated on the marking label. If
you are not sure of the type of power supply to your home,
consult your product dealer or local power company. For
products intended to operate from battery power, or other
sources, refer to the operating instructions.
10. Grounding and Polarization - This product may be
equipped with a polarized alternating-current line plug (a
plug having one blade wider than the other). This plug will
fit into the power outlet only one way. This is safety feature.
If you are unable to insert the plug fully into the outlet, try
reversing the plug. If the plug should still fail to fit, contact
your electrician to replace your obsolete outlet. Do not
defeat the safety purpose of the polarized plug.
11. Power-Cord Protection - Power supply cords should be routed so that they are not likely to be walked on or pinched
by items placed upon or against them, paying particular
attention to cords at plugs, convenience receptacles, and
the point where they exit from the product.
12. Lightning - For adde d protection for this product during a
lightning storm, or when it is left unattended and unused
for long periods of time, unplug it from the wall outlet and
disconnect the antenna or cable systems. This will prevent
damage to the product due to lightning and power-line
surges.
13. Overloading - Do not overload wall outlets, e xtensions
cords, or integral convenience receptacles as this cas
result in a risk of fire or electric shock.
14. Object and L iquid Entry - Never push objects of any kind
into this product through openings as they may touch dangerous voltage points or short-out par ts that could result
in a fire or electric shock. Do not ex pose this apparatus to
dripping or splashing, and ensure that no objects filled with
water, such as vases, are placed on the apparatus.
15. Servicing - Do not attempt to ser vice this product yourself
as opening or removing covers may expose you to
dangerous voltage or other hazards. Refer all servicing to
qualified service personnel.
16. Damage Requiring Servic e - Unplug this product from wall
outlet and refer servicing to qualified personnel under the
following conditions:
• When power supply cord or plug is damaged;
• If liquid has been spilled, or objects have fallen into
product;
• If the product does not operate normally by following the
operating instructions. Adjust only those controls that
are covered by the operating instructions as an improper
adjustment of other controls may result in damage and
will require extensive work by a qualified technician to
restore the product to its normal operation;
• If the product has been dropped or damaged in any way;
• If the product exhibits a distinct change in per formance
- this indicates a need for service.
17. Replacement Par ts - When replacement parts are required,
be sure the technician has used replacement parts specified by the manufacturer or have the same characteristics
as the original part. Unauthorized subsitutions may result
in fire, electric shock, or other hazards.
18. Safety Che ck - Upon completion of any service or repairs
to this product, ask the service technician to perform safe ty
checks to determine that the product is in proper operating
condition.
19. Wall or Ceiling Mounting - The product should be
mounted to a wall or ceiling only as recommended by the
manufacturer.
20. Heat - The product should be situated away from heat
sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other
products (including amplifiers) that produce heat.

Cage - For your safety and to protect the vacuum tubes
this product may be equipped with the factory installe d
vacuum tube cage.
It is not recommended to remove the cage unless it is
required to change the vacuum tubes.
When the cage is removed - do not touch the vacuum
tubes - they may be hot and burn the skin!

Connection of the active speaker with
the passive speaker
• Make sure the POWER switch is in OFF position (the active speaker is switched o).
• Using the supplied active-passive speaker interconnect cable connect SPEAKER
OUT on the rear of the active speaker with SPEAKER IN on the rear of the passive
speaker.
• Power on speakers by changing the position of POWER switch to ON.
• Your speakers are ready to use.

Bluetooth® Connection
Bluetooth® Connection:
• Power on the speakers with the POWER switch on the rear panel.
• Select Bluetooth® on your audio source e.g. Smartphone, Laptop, etc.
• The LED Indicator on the control panel must be RED, indicating the speaker is
currently ON. Press the button „INPUT” till the LED Indicator is changed to BLUE.
• Search for TAV-500B on your audio source e.g. Smartphone, Laptop etc.
• After a short time TAV-500B will appear on your audio source screen. Select “Pair”.
• TAV-500B will now be ready to play your music wirelessly within a range of
approximately 10 meters.

Operation (Side control panel)
• Volume: Turn volume up or down to increase or decrease the volume. You may also
adjust your source (laptop, smartphone, CD player etc.) volume to increase
or decrease the volume of the TAV-500B speakers.
• TREBLE: This is the primary high frequency control which allows for 7dB of boost or
cut at 10Khz.
• BASS: This is the primary low frequency control which allows for 7dB of boost or cut
at 100Hz.
• INPUT: Press this button to choose one of the following sources: AUX/LINE,
Bluetooth®, USB or SD/MMC (two last can be selected only when the USB drive or
SD/MMC card are inserted).
USB, SD/MMC Card will be automatically selected as a source after the USB drive
or SD/MMC card is inserted – the priority has a device connected as the last one.
The LED indicator will show the current status of the input:

Note! When both the USB drive and SD/MMC card are removed TAV-500B will always
return to AUX/LINE input.
When a source device is Bluetooth®; USB drive or SD/MMC card, you can control
connected devices via the side control panel:
• Press PLAY/PAUSE button to start playback.
• To pause playback, press PLAY/PAUSE. To resume playback, press PLAY/PAUSE
again.
• To select the next track, press NEXT/VOL+ button.
• To select the previous track, press PREV/VOL- button.
• To stop playback by TAV-500B stop playback on your connected device or change
INPUT on the speaker.

Note! some of the above functions could not be available for all Bluetooth® devices,
USB drives or SD/MMC cards.
Hardwire connection to TAV-500B:
TAV-500B has the option to connect an audio source such as CD/MP3/MP4 players,
laptop, smartphone, table PC computer etc., using wired connection. TAV-500B oers
LINE IN Stereo RCA as well as 3.5mm Stereo mini jack connection.
Note! do not use both wired connections at the same time.

Troubleshooting
If the unit fails to operate normally, check the following points to determine whether
the fault can be corrected. If it cannot be corrected, or if the fault is not listed in the
Problem column, disconnect the power cord and contact your authorised dealer or
service centre for help

TAGA Harmony products.
We recommend using high quality TAGA Harmony speaker cables and other
installation accessories.
