Battery Installation
A battery marking inside of the battery holder indicates the correct orientation of one Tactical Impulse 18650 3100 mAh Li-ion rechargeable battery, with regard to the positive (+) terminal position.
IMPORTANT! – To avoid damage to the battery
holder’s positive (+) terminal spring, maintain
downwards pressure against the negative (-) terminal spring as the battery is carefully inserted into the battery holder!
CAUTION! – Never short-circuit the contacts on
either end of the battery holder!
After the battery has been successfully inserted into the battery holder, the battery holder may be inserted into the LE-1 Main Barrel. An arrow and the word, “INSERT”, are marked on the backside of the battery holder. These markings indicate the correct direction in which the battery holder should be inserted into the Main Barrel.

When inserted correctly, the end of the battery holder containing seven (7) gold contacts will make contact with the Tactical Tail-cap.
Battery Removal
The word, “PUSH”, is marked by an opening on the backside of the battery holder near the battery’s
positive (+) terminal. To remove the battery from the battery holder, the battery should be pushed out of the battery holder through the marked opening.

Switch Operation
Basic On/Off Fully depressing Switch 1 or 2 until a “click” is heard (full-click), will power the light ON. A
subsequent full-click of Switch 1 or 2 will power the light OFF.
Momentary Partially depressing Switch 1 or 2 (half- press) will result in momentary light activation (i.e.
light will only remain ON while pressure is applied to
the switch)

Changing Modes The light has 4 operating modes: LOW (20%), MEDIUM (50%), HIGH (100%), or STROBE. Mode selection is performed from the ON state only. Once the light is ON, half-presses and releases of the switch will cycle through the modes.
Mode-Memory(if programmed) – When the light is powered ON, it will use the mode that was in-use when the light was previously powered OFF.
NOTE: The LE-1 is programmed by default to power ON in HIGH mode every time. However, the LE-1 may be easily programmed to use mode-memory by following the User Programming instructions.
Light-NOW TM– At any time, two or more rapid (under .5 seconds) full-clicks of either switch will turn the light
ON using HIGH mode. The Light-NOW function does not affect the mode-memory (e.g. if the light is in
STROBE mode, and Light-NOW is activated, STROBE
mode will still be stored in memory if the light is
powered OFF). Continuously clicking a switch rapidly
will always result in the light being powered ON in HIGH mode.

Charging Options
The Tactical Impulse 18650 3100 mAh Li-ion battery may be recharged within the LE-1 using the Tactical Impulse LE-1 Cradle Charger *. The battery may also be removed from the LE-1 and recharged using a supplied or approved Tactical Impulse 18650 battery charger.
* LE-1 Cradle Charger is sold separately
Modular Tail Accessories
The LE-1 is designed to accept a variety of Tactical Impulse LE-1 accessories that attach to the tail end of the LE-1 instead of the Tactical Tail-cap. Some accessories provide additional power to the LE-1, while others utilize power from the battery within the LE-1 battery holder.
These accessories may be used interchangeably by simply removing the Tactical Tail-cap, or other installed accessory, and attaching the LE-1 accessory of choice.

Smart Light Control (SLC)
TM
When the LE-1 is secured in a Tactical Impulse Smart Holster, the flashlight will automatically power OFF if it was powered ON when holstered. In addition, the LE-1 will remain OFF while in the holster, even if a power switch is pressed on the LE-1, to avoid accidental activation of the unit.
User Programming
The LE-1 is programmed by default to power ON in HIGH mode every time. The LE-1 may also power ON in the last operating light mode (mode-memory). To toggle between the two programs, follow the steps below:
1. Affix the Tactical Tail-cap to the LE-1 (unless
affixed already).
2. Insert the LE-1 into either the LE-1 Cradle
Charger or an LE-1 Smart Holster until the LE-1 locks into place *.
3. Fully depress (full-click) and hold Switch 1 and
Switch 2 together for at least 5 seconds.

4. The LE-1 light will begin to flash when the
operating program is being updated, and the switches should be released.
* LE-1 Cradle Charger and Smart Holster sold separately.
Care and Maintenance
Do not expose the unit to acidic or caustic
substances.
Avoid prolonged and repeated exposure to
direct sunlight, as this activity could damage the water-proofing seals and/or electronics.
Regularly inspect the unit’s O-rings to ensure
that sealing surfaces are clean and properly lubricated with silicone grease.
Regularly inspect the unit’s O-rings for cuts,
scratches, routine wear or other damage. If any damage or diminished effectiveness from routine wear is observed, replace O-rings immediately.
