WELCOME
Thank you for purchasing the Travel Hair Straightener SY-PP5. In order to fully
benefit from this product please read the following instructions carefully and
store this user manual in a safe place for future reference.
HOW TO USE THE SY-PP5
Prior to using the new hair straightener, please follow the following instructions
for your hair to be straightened in the correct way:
Wash and towel-dry your hair.
Comb your hair thoroughly. Do not use hairspray or any flammable
chemical hair products.
Divide the hair into strands. Separate hair strands by using the
separation combs to shape the hair strands from below.
Gradually work along the hair strands to create a uniform hair style.
Switching on the unit
Insert the mains plug and switch on the device using the On / Off switch.
It takes approximately 1 minute for the temperature to reach the level
set.
Switching off the unit
Switch off the device using the on / off switch.
Remove the plug from the socket.
Let it cool down completely before storing away
Styling Tips
Use the straightener on dry hair and work with small sections. Hold your
hair firmly and begin at the roots, sliding the straightener downwards.
Work smoothly to avoid creating tangles in the middle of the section.
Tip: For short and curly styles, use a spray gel.
To smooth and tame very curly hair, only use the straightener on the
lengths and leave the roots curly. For this kind of style, follow the shape
of your hairstyle. The straightening plates can also be used to accent
certain sections (fringe, movement etc.)
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Danger of electric shock! Switch off the unit before it is cleaned and
pull out the plug.
Danger of burns! It is essential to let the unit completely cool down
before storing away.
Before cleaning, always disconnect the device from the mains.
Never immerse the device in water or use near places where water is
present.
Device protection! Do not use sharp or abrasive cleaning agents.
You can clean your device with a slightly damp cloth and dry it with a
soft dry cloth.
If the straightening plates get dirty, use a few drops of washing- up liquid
to help clean them. Make sure that you remove all washing-up liquid
residues from the straightening plates when drying.
SAFETY
ATTENTION: Do not use this appliance near places where water may be
present.
If using the appliance in a bathroom, unplug after use as the proximity of
water can be dangerous even if the appliance is switched off.
Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
Do not use the appliance if the cord is damaged.
Do not leave the appliance unattended when plugged in.
Be careful when handling the unit and avoid contact of the hot surfaces
of the appliance with the skin, in particular the ears, eyes, face.
Careful adult supervision is required when the appliance is used on, by
or near children or any disabled persons.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children)
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of
experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliances by a person responsible for
their safety.
After use, do not coil the cable around the appliance as this may cause
damage to the cable.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer
or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a
hazard.
This appliance is intended to be used in household and indoor.
