•TherefrigerantforthiscoolingunitisR410Aandcannotbereplacedwithanyothertypeofrefrigerant withoutwrittenapprovalfromthesupplier.
•Serviceswitchesarelockedtopreventunauthorizedstart-upduringmaintenancework.Where condensationwaterneedstobedrainedaway,correctconnectiontothedrainmustensurethis.The installermustequiptheunitwithoperatingandmaintenanceinstructions.

DVCompactDXRairhandlingunitcontainsacompletestand-alonereversibleheatpumpsystem(heating andcooling)witharotatingheatexchangerandtwofansections.Thesystemistestedandoptimized beforedelivery.
TheheatpumpsystemisdeliveredwiththeR–410arefrigerantinthecircuit.InternalcontrollerpCOOEM controlsallsafetyfunctionsandcapacityofdigitalscrollcompressors(DVCompactDXR–10,DVCompact DXR–15comesonlywithonecompressor).Signalstostartheatingorcooling,aswellacapacitysignal,

aresenttopCOOEMcontrollerdirectlyfromthemainairhandlingunitcontrollerCorrigowhenthereisa demandforheatingorcooling.
Capacityisregulatedaccuratelybytherstdigitalscrollcompressor.Whenthereisanincreasingcapacity demand(morethan50%),therstcompressorspeedsuptothemaximumbeforethesecondcompressor getsastartsignaltooperateatthemaximumcapacity.Thenthespeedoftherstcompressorwillbe reducedtoaminimumtocontinueaccuratelyregulatecapacityabove50%.
Signalsfromthehighandlowpressuretransmittershelptoensuremaximumperformancewithout exceedingsetvaluesandtherebypreventsafetyswitchesfromdisconnectingcoolingandheating. Thissafetysystemensuresmaximumperformanceunderthegivenowsandtemperaturesofsupply andexhaustair.
Heatpumpsystemhavetwoelectronicexpansionvalves.Oneexpansionvalveforheatingandanother oneforcooling.Superheatiscontrolledbyabuilt-incontroller.Abuilt-incontrollerreceivessignalsfroma Lowpressuretransmitterandtemperaturesensorplacedinthecommonsuctionline.Thisensuresavery accurateandefcientperformanceofthesystemunderalloperatingconditions.

4.1.1Supplyandextractairfans

Fansandmotorsinunitsaremountedonvibrationdampers.Dustanddirtcanbuildupontheimpellers, whichcancreateimbalanceandvibration.Theimpellersshouldbecheckedannuallyandcleanedwhen necessary.Atthesametimevibrationdampersshouldbechecked.Damagedvibrationdampersmust bereplaced.
Thedrivemotorshavepermanentlylubricatedbearingsthatshouldnotbegreased.
4.1.2Supplyandextractairlters
TheltersareofbagltertypewithlterqualityM5,M6orF7forthesupply-andextractairlter.Thelters needtobereplacedwhenpolluted.Newsetsoflterscanbeacquiredfromyourinstallerorwholesaler.
4.1.2.1Pressureguardlters
Apressureguardmeasuresthedifferentialpressureoverthesupplyandextractairlters.Whenthe pressuredropreachesthesetvalueanalarmistriggeredinthemaincontroller.Thedifferentialpressure canbesetbetween40and300Pa.Thepressureswitchispresetfromfactoryto200Pa.

4.1.3Differentialpressuretransmitters

2builtinpressuretransmittersmaintaintheairowataconstantlevelbymeasuringthedifferential pressureovertheinletconeofthefanimpellers.Thepressuretransmittersareinstalledfromfactoryin allunitswithenclosedcontrolandCAVcontrol.InV AVunitspressuresensorswillbedeliveredloosely withtheunittobemountedinthesupplyandextractairducts,see“Installationinstructions”formore informationconcerningV AVinstallations.Thebuiltinpressuretransmitterswillthenworkasmonitorsof theactualairow.

4.1.4Rotaryheatexchanger

DVCompactDXRunitisequippedwithahigh-efciency,rotaryheatexchangerwhichisusedtotransfer theheatbetweenextractandsupplyairstreams.Operationoftherotaryheatexchangerisautomaticand dependsonthesettemperature.Theheatexchangerisremovableforcleaningandmaintenance.

4.1.5Compressors

ThecompressorinDVCompactDXRunitisahigh-efciency ,variablespeedscrollcompressor .Itis designedespeciallyforspeedcontrolandcannotrunwithoutfrequencyconverter.Speedandbythat capacityisregulatedbychangingtheoperatingfrequency.Controlofthecompressoriscompletely automaticaccordingtotheneedofthepremisesandthesignalthatcomesviathecontrollerpCOOEMto thefrequencyconverter.
Theheatpumpsystemcomespre-lledwithR410Arefrigerantandtestedatthefactory.

4.1.6Condenser/evaporatorcoil

Theevaporator/condensercoilismadeofcoppertubeswithaluminiumnsandisusedtotransferthermal energybetweenoutdoorandindoorairstreams.Condenser/evaporatorcoilchangesitsfunctionbasedon theactivemode:
•Heatingmode—coilintheextractaircompartmentisanevaporator,coilinthesupplyaircompartment isacondenser.
•Coolingmode—coilintheextractaircompartmentisacondenser,coilinthesupplyaircompartment isanevaporator.

6Maintenance

MaintenanceoftheDVCompactDXRisofgreatimportanceforthewholeinstallationsenvironmental inuence,operatingeconomy,durability,securityandfunctions.
Important
•ReadtheWarnings(chapter1)andRefrigerantControl/Reporting(chapter2)beforedoingany workontheDVCompactDXRunit.
Maintenanceshouldbecarriedatleastonceayear,apartfromgeneralcleaningthefollowingshouldbe done:
1.Leakagecontrolwithregistration
Differentregulationscanbevalidindifferentcountries.Checkwithyourlocalgovernment.
2.Generalcontrol.
Whenunitisrunninglistenforabnormalsoundsandvibrations.Inspectoccurrenceofoilleakage(can beasymptomonrefrigerantleakage).Inspectoccurrenceofcorrosion,frettingdamages,loosen pipesuspensions.
3.Controlofthecoolingcoil(evaporatorcoil)andcondensercoil.
Afteralongtimeofusethecoilscanobtainadepositthatobstructstheheattransferandairow. Vacuumcleanthecoilscarefullyfromthedirtyside.
4.Controlofthedriptray.
Afteralongtimeofusethedriptrayandthedraincanobtainadepositthatobstructsthedrainofthe condensationwater.Cleanthedriptray,drain,watersealandpipesfromdirtanddeposits.

ThefactoryinstalledltersareoflterqualityM6orF7forboththesupplyairandextractairlter.Thelter typeislabelledonthetopofthelter.NewlterscanbeorderedfromSystemairUAB.
Operationtimebetweenlterchangesdependsontheairpollutionattheinstallationsite.Adifferential pressureswitchindicateswhenit’stimetochangethelters.Thiswilltriggeranalarminthecontrolpanel.
Whenthisoccursdothefollowing:
1.Replacethelterswithnewonesasdescribedbelow
2.Acknowledgethealarmbypressingtheredbuttononthecontrolpanel(pos.1gure9)followedbyOK (pos.4gure9)
3.Choose→AcknowledgebypressingOK
Theltersaretakenoutbypullingthemoutformthelterrailandreplaced(gure10).

6.5Checkingtherotatingheatexchanger

Afteralongtimeofusedustmaybuildupintheexchangerandblocktheairow.Itisimportanttoclean theexchangerregularlytomaintainhighefciency .Thecompleterotatingheatexchangerblockcanbe takenoutoftheunit(gure11)inthesmallermodelstofacilitatecleaningandmaintenance.Washinhot soapywaterorusepressureair.Donotusedetergentcontainingammonia.
Checkatleastonceayearthattheexchangerrotorrotateseasily.Checkthisbyremovingthedriving beltandmovetherotorbyhand.Checkalsothatthebrushesareundamaged.Therotorbearingsare permanentlylubricatedfromfactoryandshouldnotbere-greased.
Check4timesperyearthatthedrivingbeltissufcientlytense,thatitfollowsthetracksandthatitis undamaged.Ifthebelttensionistoolowitneedstobeshortened.

6.6Checkingthefans

6.6.1Cleaning

Eveniftherequiredmaintenance,suchaschangeoflters,iscarriedoutdustandgreasemayslowly buildupinsidethefans.Thiswillreducetheefciency.Thefanmotorcanoverheatifathicklayerofdust preventstheairfromenteringthemotortocooldownthestatorstructure.
Theexternalsurfacesmaybecleanedwitha clothorasoftbrush.Iftheyareseverelyfouled, useanenvironmentallyfriendlyde-greasing agent.Donotusewater.Whitespiritcanbe usedtoremoveobstinatesettlements.Allow dryingproperlybeforestartingtheunit.
•Wipethefanimpellerbladestoremoveany coatings.Useonlytheenvironmentallyfriendly de-greasingagent.

6.6.2Inspection

•Checkifthefanimpellerrotateseasily,isinbalanceanddoesnotvibrate.
•Checkifthefanimpellerisxedandoverlapsinletcone.
•Listentothesoundcomingfromthemotorbearings.Itshouldmakeaslightpurringsound.Ascraping orpoundingsoundcanindicatethatthebearingsaredamagedandshouldbechanged.
•Checkiftherubberanti-vibrationmountingsarenotdamagedandintact.

6.7Checkingthecompressor

Mandatoryannualcontrolmustbedonebytrainedservicepersonnel.Theserviceissuedbythepump manufacturermustbefollowed.Thepressureexpansionsystemmustbecheckedonceayear.If necessary,thepressuremustbeincreasedtothecorrectlevel.

6.8.1Cleaning

•Usethevacuumcleanertoremovedustfromthe inletsideofyoucanblowthemwithcompressed airfromtheoutletside;
•Usehotwatermixedwithnoncorrosiveclean­ingmediumandrinseusingwater.Anycorro­sionshouldbecleanedoffimmediatelyandthe surfacetreated.
