2.2.1SupplyandExtractairFans
Fansandmotorsinthesmallerunitsaremountedonvibrationdampersandcanbetakenoutforservice andmaintenance.Dustanddirtcanbuildupontheimpellers,whichcancreateimbalanceandvibration. Theimpellersshouldbecheckedannuallyandcleanedwhennecessary .Atthesametimevibration dampersshouldbechecked.Damagedvibrationdampersmustbereplaced.
Thedrivemotorshavepermanentlylubricatedbearingsthatshouldnotbegreased.
2.2.1.1PressuretransmitterFans
2builtinpressuretransmittersmaintaintheairowataconstantlevelbymeasuringthedifferential pressureovertheinletconeofthefanimpellers(pos.13,14gure1).InDVCompact-10–150-R-w/aut andDVCompact-10–100-X-w/autthepressuretransmittersareinstalledfromfactoryinallunitswithCA V control.InVA Vunitspressuresensorswillbedeliveredlooselywiththeunittobemountedinthesupply andextractairducts,see“Installationinstructions”formoreinformationconcerningVAVinstallations.The builtinpressuretransmitterswillthenworkasmonitorsoftheactualairow.
2.2.2SupplyandExtractairFilters
TheltersareofbagltertypewithlterqualityF5,F6orF7forthesupply-andextractairlter.Thelters needtobereplacedwhenpolluted.Newsetsoflterscanbeacquiredfromyourinstallerorwholesaler.
2.2.2.1Pressureguardlters
Apressureguardmeasuresthedifferentialpressureoverthesupplyandextractairlters.Whenthe pressuredropreachesthesetvalueanalarmistriggeredinthemainregulator.Thedifferentialpressure canbesetbetween40and300Pa.Thepressureswitchispresetfromfactoryto200Pa.
2.2.3HeatExchanger
DVCompact-10–150-RandDVCompact-10–150-R-w/autareequippedwithahighefcientrotatingheat exchanger(pos.7gure1).Re-heaterbattery(waterorelectric)areoptionalandcanbeacquiredas accessories.Theoperationoftheheatexchangerisautomaticanddependsonthesettemperature.The heatexchangerisremovableforcleaningandmaintenance.
DVCompact-10–100-XandDVCompact-10–100-X-w/autareequippedwithaplateheatexchangerwitha builtinbypassdamper.
2.2.3.1Rotormotor
Themotoriscontrolledbya0–10Vanalogcontrolsignal(pos.9gure1).
2.2.3.2Rotationguard
Asensorbuiltintherotormotorregisterstherotationoftheheatexchangerrotor.It’sconnectedtothe mainregulator,whichgivesanalarmiftherotorstopswhilethereisaheatdemand.

InDVCompact-10–150-R-w/autandDVCompact-10–100-X-w/autalltemperaturesensorsaremounted andwiredinsidetheunit.Thesupplyairsensoriswiredtoterminalsintheelectricalconnectionboxandis placedlooselydeliveredinsidetheunitinacardboardbox.Thesensorneedstobeinstalledinthesupply airductexternallyfromtheunit.See“Installationinstructions”formoredetailedinformation.
2.2.5HeaterBattery
Theunitsaredeliveredwithoutre-heaterbatteryasstandard
Re-heaterbatteries(waterorelectric)canbeacquiredasaccessories.Theheaterbatteriesareinstalled externallyfromtheunitonthesupplyairconnection.Pumps,valveactuatorsandfrostprotectionsensors arewiredtoterminalsinsidetheelectricalconnectionbox.Moreinformationconcerningelectrical connectionsarefoundinthe“Installationinstructions”andenclosedwiringdiagram.

3.1Controlpanel
TheSCPcontrolpanelisdeliveredwitha10mcablethatisconnectedtothepanelandwithafast couplingcontact,connectedtotheDVCompactunit.ThecontactisconnectedtotheCorrigocontrollerin theelectricalconnectionbox.Thecablecanbeunscrewedinthebackofthecontrolpanel(gure2).

5.3.1ChangingSupply/Extractairlter
Thebagltercannotbecleanedandmustbechangedwhennecessary .Newlterscanbeorderedfrom Systemair.Operationtimebetweenlterchangesdependsontheairpollutionattheinstallationsite.A differentialpressureswitchindicateswhenit’stimetochangethelters.Thiswilltriggeranalarmin thecontrolpanel.
Whenthisoccursdothefollowing:
1.Replacethelterswithnewonesasdescribedbelow
2.Acknowledgethealarmbypressingtheredbuttononthecontrolpanel(pos.1gure2)followedbyOK (pos.4gure2)

Afteralongtimeofusedustmaybuildupintheexchanger(pos.7,gure1)andblocktheairow. Itisimportanttocleantheexchangerregularlytomaintainhighefciency.Thecompleterotatingheat exchangerblockcanbetakenoutoftheunit(gure4)inthesmallermodelstofacilitatecleaningand maintenance.Washinhotsoapywaterorusepressureair.Donotusedetergentcontainingammonia.
Checkatleastonceayearthattheexchangerrotorrotateseasily.Checkthisbyremovingthedriving beltandmovetherotorbyhand.Checkalsothatthebrushesareundamaged.Therotorbearingsare permanentlylubricatedfromfactoryandshouldnotbere-greased.
Check4timesperyearthatthedrivingbeltissufcientlytense,thatitfollowsthetracksandthatitis undamaged.Ifthebelttensionistoolowitneedstobeshortened.

Thedrainpanbeneaththeexchanger,thedrainpipeanddraintrapneedstobecleanedonceayear.
5.3.6CheckingtheFans
Eveniftherequiredmaintenance,suchaschangeoflters,iscarriedoutdustandgreasemayslowly buildupinsidethefans.Thiswillreducetheefciency.
Thefansmaybecleanedwithaclothorasoftbrush.Donotusewater.Whitespiritcanbeusedto removeobstinatesettlements.Allowdryingproperlybeforeremounting.

Afterlongperiodsofoperation(usuallyseveralyears)dustmayhavedepositedonthesurfaceofthe battery.Thismayreducebatteriescapacity .Thebatterycanbecleanedwithapressurewasherwith mistingjets,orwithcompressedair.Cleaningshouldbecarriedoutcarefullysoasnottodamagethe batteriesaluminiumns.Onceayearthebatterywatercircuitneedstobeventedtomaintainthe batteriescapacity.
5.3.8CheckingtheFrostprotection
Thefrostprotectionfunctionneedstobetestedatleastonceayear,beforewinter.Cooldownthefrost protectionsensoruntilthealarmmessageappearsonthecontrolpanel.Checkthattheprotection sequencebehavescorrectly:Fansshouldbestopped,dampersshouldbeclosedandthewatervalve shouldopencompletely.
5.3.9CheckingtheElectricalheatingbattery
Afterlongperiodoftimedustandpollutantscanbuildupontheheatingrods.Thiscancauseunpleasant odorsandintheworstcasere.Cleanwithcompressedair,vacuumorbrush.Theheatingpowercanbe measured,intheelectricalconnectionbox,beforetheheatingseason.Bylargediscrepancieseachrod needstobemeasured.Theautomaticsafetyfunctionneedstobetestedandveried.

Drainpanunderthebattery,anditscondensatedrainandtrap,shouldbecleanedonceayear.Ifadroplet separatorismounted,itshouldbecheckedannuallyandcleanedwhennecessary.
5.3.11ChangingtheInternalBattery
Note:
ThisprocedurerequiresknowledgeofproperESDprotection;i.e.anearthedwristbandmustbeused!
Whenthealarm”InternalBattery”isactivatedandthebatteryLEDlightsupred,thebatteryforbackupof programmemoryandreal-timeclockhasbecometooweak.Thebatteryisreplacedasdescribedbelow. Abackupcapacitorsavesthememoryandkeepstheclockrunningforatleast10minutesafterthepower supplyisremoved.Therefore,ifthebatteryreplacementtakeslessthan10minutes,therewillbenoneed toreloadtheprogram,andtheclockwillcontinuetorunnormally .
ThereplacementbatterymustbeofthetypeCR2032.

Removethecoverbypressingdownthelocking torquesattheedgeofthecoverusingasmall screwdriver,andatthesametimepullingthe edgesoutwards.

Gripthebatteryrmlywithyourngersandliftit upwardsuntilitrisesfromitsholder.
