Operation Manual

The Intellicharge i4 is a universal, automatic smart-charger

compatible with almost all types of rechargeable batteries thus

eliminating the need to own several chargers. The i4 is able to

automatically identify Li-ion, Ni-MH and Ni-Cd rechargeable

batteries and apply an appropriate charging mode (Constant

Charge Current (CC), Constant Charge Voltage (CV) and

Trickle Charge). Each of the i4 has four

microcomputer-controlled charging slots which are capable of

monitoring and charging the same type of batteries.

Additionally, yellow and blue power/charging status indicator

lights could visibly indicate battery status and charging process.

Operating instructions:

1. Plug one end of the power cord or car charger adapter to the

charger’s power input. Plug the opposite end of the cord into

a wall outlet or the cigarette lighter receptacle in your vehicle.

The blue power light and all yellow power indicators will

illuminate as the charger runs a quick self-test. The yellow

power indicators will turn off automatically once testing has

completed.

2. The i4 features four charging slots, with each slot able to

charge the same type of batteries with different sizes.

Note: The i4 is capable of charging one to four 3.7v Li-ion

rechargeable cells together, OR one to four 1.2V,

Ni-MH/Ni-Cd rechargeable batteries together only. See above

for description of battery sizes.

3. When inserting a battery ensure the positive and negative

ends correspond with the positive (+) and negative (-)

symbols on the charger. Incorrectly inserting the batteries will

result in the reverse polarity circuit being activated causing

the charge status lights to blink rapidly. Should this occur

reposition the batteries to the correct polarity.

4. When charging batteries, three yellow power indicators in

each slot will display battery status and blink. When charging

is complete the three yellow power indicators will illuminate

steadily without blinking.

Note: When four batteries are charged at the same time,

each charging slot will receive a maximum output current of

500mA. When one or two batteries are charged, each slot will

receive a maximum output current of 1000mA.

Precautions:

1. When used at 110V, do not charge four Li-ion rechargeable
batteries simultaneously.

2. The i4 charger cannot identify the battery capacity itself. So
when charging one single 10440 Li-ion battery or AAA
rechargeable battery, the i4 still emits about 1A current for
charging, causing the battery to become hot.

Therefore：

- Please do not use the i4 to charge one single 10440 Li-ion
or one single AAA rechargeable battery.

- When charging two 10440 Li-ion or two AAA rechargeable
batteries, please set them in slot 1 and 3 or slot 2 and 4.”

3. Please do not use the i4 to charge different types of
batteries (Ni-MH/Ni-Cd or Li-ion) simultaneously.

4. This charger is compatible with different battery types of
different lengths. Push the slider back towards the negative
end when placing a longer battery, for example, an 18650
Li-ion rechargeable battery.

5. When charging different types of batteries (for example,
26650 or AAA), ensure solid contact is made between both
sides of the battery and the charger’s metal contact points.

6. The i4 is restricted to charging Li-ion, Ni-MH and Ni-Cd
rechargeable batteries only. Never use the i4 for other types
of batteries as this could result in battery explosion, cracking
or leaking, causing property damage and/or personal injury.

7. The i4 should only be used indoors or inside a motor
vehicle. Do not expose it to water, high humidity, low or high
ambient temperatures.

8. Do not disassemble or modify the charger.

9. Children under the age of 18 should be supervised by an
adult when using the i4.

10. The i4’s safe operating temperature is between 0℃--40℃.

11. Do not use or store the charger near open flames, direct
sunlight, heating devices or other high-temperature
environments.

Warranty Service

All products enjoy a warranty service after sale. Any
malfunctioning products can be exchanged for replacements
from local distributor/dealer within the first 14 days after receipt
of the light. This product can enjoy free warranty service within
18 months from the date of purchase. After 18 months, the
warranty covers labor cost and maintenance, with the exclusion
on the cost of accessories or repair parts.
The warranty is nullified in any of the following situations:

1. The product(s) is/are broken down, reconstructed and/or

modified under unauthorized conditions.

2. The product(s) is/are damaged through improper use.

3. The product(s) is/are damaged by leakage of batteries.
