Installation Instructions
Some fabrics will need to be ironed from being shipped. After installation, if wrinkles appear, the
curtain can simply be sprayed using a water spray bottle, and the wrinkles will fall out.
INSTALLATION USING ADHESIVE HOOK FASTENER
1. Clean and dry surface where the adhesive strip will be attached.
2. From detached piece of hook fastener strip, remove plastic backing, exposing sticky side. (SEE
PICTURE 1)
3. Place above window molding or in desired position, making sure it is centered before adhering.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Adhesive hook fastener will perform better if adhered to the “lip” above the glass
rather than the “ceiling” part of the window casing. MUST BE A FLAT SURFACE (SEE PICTURE 2)
4. Use spoon or hard object to rub against adhesive hook fastener, smoothing and removing any air
bubbles.
5. For lengthened life of adhesive, let cure for 24 hours before attaching shade.
6. Attach shade to the hook fastener strip that is now above window molding. (SEE PICTURE 3)
Cottage Shade has a 3” rod pocket to allow for hanging with a decorative curtain rod or a tension
rod if desired.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Slide hooks to desired roll level (TIP: hold the side of the shade with one hand, while you slide the
hook with the other hand). Be sure to make both hooks even with each other. (SEE PICTURE 4)
2. Roll the shade up from the bottom to the hooks. (SEE PICTURE 5)
3. Secure the shade in place by sliding the hooks under the straps. (SEE PICTURE 6 AND 7)
