You can operate the LCV TV (DVL515SLD) and the DVD/CD player (DVL515SL) with the supplied remote control.
• Remote control buttons printed in black are for DVD/CD Player, blue buttons are for TV and yellow buttons are for both.
Press [TV] first to operate the LCD TV with the remote control.
Press [DVD] first to operate the DVD/CD player with the remote control.
• Pressing [SEARCH MODE] will switch the remote control to the DVD mode automatically.

To set the V-CHIP
This enables parents to prevent their children from watching inappropriate material on TV.
The limitation is not available for news, sports programs, unedited movies on pre­mium cable channels and Emergency Broadcast System signals.
When you try to access to a program which is blocked, “PROTECTED PRO­GRAM by ...” message appears on the TV screen.
Programming may be rated by the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) or according to the Television Parental Guidelines. In order to block any inappro­priate programming, set your limits in both MPAA RATING and TV RATING.

Notes:
Make sure you enter exactly the same new code in the “CONFIRM CODE” space as one in the “NEW CODE” space. If they are different, the “NEW CODE” space is cleared for redoing.
Your personal access code will be erased and will return to the default (0000) when a power failure occurs or when you turn off the power using a wall switch. If you have forgotten the code, unplug the power cord for 10 seconds to restore the access code to 0000.

Para ajustar la configuración V-CHIP
Permite que los padres prohiban que sus hijos vean material no apto para ellos en la TV.
La limitación no existe para las noticias, programa de deportes, películas no editadas en los canales de cable premio y las señales del sistema de transmisión de emergencia.
Cuando intenta acceder a programas blo­queados, aparece un mensaje “PRO­GRAMA PROHIBIDO por ...” en la pan­talla de TV.
La programación puede tener clasificación de la Asociación Americana de Películas (MPAA) o las Guías de Padres para Televisión. Para bloquear programación no aptos, ajuste sus límites de nivel para CLASE DE MPAA y CLASE DE TV.

You can install this DVD/CD player horizontally or vertically.

The front panel can be exchanged for the sup­plied colored panel.
1)Unhook the stopper on the panel bottom to detach the panel.
2)Hook the catch on the top of the colored panel to the DVD/CD player.
3)Push the lower part of the panel until the stopper fits in. Make sure the hooks on side of the panel are also set correctly.

5) Cleaning - Unplug this product from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cleaning.
6) Attachments - Do not use attachments not recom­mended by the product manufacturer as they may cause hazards.

¡If this product becomes inoperative, do not try to cor-
rect the problem by yourself. There are no user-ser­viceable parts inside. Turn off, unplug the power plug, and please call our help line mentioned on the front page to locate an Authorized Service Center.
CLEANING THE CABINET
¡Use a soft cloth slightly moistened with a mild deter-
gent solution. Do not use a solution containing alco­hol, spirits, ammonia or abrasive.
CLEANING DISCS
¡When a disc becomes dirty, clean it with a cleaning
cloth. Wipe the disc from the center out. Do not wipe in a circular motion.
¡Do not use solvents such as benzine, thinner, com-
mercially available cleaners, detergent, abrasive cleaning agents or antistatic spray intended for ana­log records.
CLEANING THE DISC LENS
¡
If this product still does not perform properly although you refer to the relevant sections and to “Troubleshooting Guide” in this Owner’s Manual, the laser optical pickup unit may be dirty. Consult your dealer or an Authorized Service Center for inspection and cleaning of the laser optical pickup unit.
DISC HANDLING
¡When you handle a disc hold it by its edge and try not
to touch the surface of the disc.
¡Always store a disc in its protective case when it is
not used.
¡
If the disc’s peripheral edge is rough, rub it with pen or pencil stem in order to fine the rough completely. If not, the disc may not be inserted correctly, or the plastic frag­ments may stick on the disc and cause skips of playback.

PAL cannot be played back.

After you have completed connections

If the DVD/CD player does not perform properly when operated as instructed in this Owner’s Manual, check the DVD/CD player consulting the following checklist.

scratches, or dusts on its surface. Reset the DVD/CD player by switching the DVD/CD player off, then on again. Aim the remote control directly at the sensor on the front of the DVD/CD player.
