Bedienungsanleitung
Pendelleuchte „Novara“, 2 x 14 W
Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Die Pendelleuchte dient zur Beleuchtung im Innenbereich; sie darf nur in trockenen,
geschlossenen Innenräumen montiert und betrieben werden. Das Produkt ist ausschließlich für die Deckenmontage vorgesehen.
Die Sicherheitshinweise sind unbedingt zu befolgen!
Eine andere Verwendung als zuvor beschrieben, führt zur Beschädigung dieses Pro-
duktes, darüber hinaus ist dies mit Gefahren, wie z.B. Kurzschluss, Brand, elektrischer
Schlag etc., verbunden. Das gesamte Produkt darf nicht geändert bzw. umgebaut
werden!
Dieses Produkt erfüllt die gesetzlichen, nationalen und europäischen Anforderungen.
Alle enthaltenen Firmennamen und Produktbezeichnungen sind Warenzeichen der

Symbol-Erklärungen, Aufschriften
Das Blitzsymbol wird verwendet, wenn Gefahr für Ihre Gesundheit besteht,
z.B. durch elektrischen Schlag.
Dieses Symbol weist Sie auf besondere Gefahren bei Handhabung, Betrieb
oder Bedienung hin.
Das „Pfeil“-Symbol steht für spezielle Tipps und Bedienhinweise.
Die Leuchte ist ausschließlich zum Einsatz und der Verwendung in tro-
ckenen Innenräumen geeignet, sie darf nicht feucht oder nass werden.
• Das Produkt ist in Schutzklasse I aufgebaut; der Schutzleiter muss angeschlossen werden.
Steht am Montageort keine Netzzuleitung mit Schutzleiter zur Verfügung,
so darf das Produkt dort nicht angeschlossen/betrieben werden. Verlegen
Sie in diesem Fall eine neue Netzzuleitung mit Schutzleiter.
• Das Produkt darf nur in trockenen, geschlossenen Innenräumen montiert
und betrieben werden. Das Produkt darf nicht feucht oder nass werden, Lebensgefahr durch einen elektrischen Schlag!
• Verwenden Sie die Leuchte nicht in Räumen oder bei widrigen Umgebungsbedingungen, wo brennbare Gase, Dämpfe oder Stäube vorhanden sind
oder vorhanden sein können! Es besteht Explosionsgefahr!
• Hängen oder befestigen Sie keine Gegenstände (z.B. Dekomaterial) an die
Leuchte, es besteht Brandgefahr!
• Die Pendelleuchte darf nur mit zwei Energiespar-Leuchtmitteln des Typs T5
mit max. 14 W betrieben werden.
• Trennen Sie die Pendelleuchte vor dem Einsetzen bzw. vor einem Wechsel
des Leuchtmittels von der Netzspannung.
• Um Augenverletzungen zu vermeiden, blicken Sie nicht direkt oder indirekt
in die Lichtquelle.
• Produkt darf keinen extremen Temperaturen, starken Vibrationen oder starken mechanischen Beanspruchungen ausgesetzt werden.
• Wenn anzunehmen ist, dass ein gefahrloser Betrieb nicht mehr möglich ist,
so ist das Produkt außer Betrieb zu setzen und gegen unbeabsichtigten Betrieb zu sichern. Lassen Sie das Produkt anschließend von einem Fachmann
prüfen.
Es ist anzunehmen, dass ein gefahrloser Betrieb nicht mehr möglich ist,
wenn:
- das Produkt sichtbare Beschädigungen aufweist
- das Produkt nicht oder nicht richtig arbeitet (fl ackerndes Licht, austreten-
der Qualm bzw. Brandgeruch, hörbare Knistergeräusche, Verfärbungen
am Produkt oder angrenzenden Flächen)
- das Produkt unter ungünstigen Verhältnissen gelagert wurde
- schwere Transportbeanspruchungen aufgetreten sind
• Lassen Sie das Verpackungsmaterial nicht achtlos liegen, dieses könnte für
Kinder zu einem gefährlichen Spielzeug werden.
• In gewerblichen Einrichtungen sind die Unfallverhütungsvorschriften des
Verbandes der gewerblichen Berufsgenossenschaften für elektrische Anlagen und Betriebsmittel zu beachten!
• Sollten Sie noch Fragen haben, die in dieser Bedienungsanleitung nicht beantwortet werden, so wenden Sie sich bitte an uns oder an einen anderen
Fachmann.

wichtige Informationen für die richtige Montage und den Betrieb.
Bei Schäden, die durch Nichtbeachten dieser Bedienungsanleitung verursacht werden, erlischt die Gewährleistung/Garantie! Für Folgeschäden übernehmen wir keine Haftung!
Bei Sach- oder Personenschäden, die durch unsachgemäße Handhabung oder Nichtbeachten der Sicherheitshinweise verursacht werden,
übernehmen wir keine Haftung! In solchen Fällen erlischt die Gewährleistung/Garantie!
Achtung!
Die Installation des Produkts darf nur durch eine qualifi zierte Elektro-
fachkraft (z.B. Elektriker) erfolgen, die mit den einschlägigen Vorschriften (z.B. VDE) vertraut ist!
Durch unsachgemäße Arbeiten an der Netzspannung gefährden Sie
nicht nur sich selbst, sondern auch andere!
Haben Sie keine Fachkenntnisse für die Montage, so nehmen Sie die
Montage nicht selbst vor, sondern beauftragen Sie einen Fachmann.
• Sicherheits- und Zulassungsgründen (CE) ist das eigenmächtige Umbauen
und/oder Verändern des Produkts nicht zulässig.
• Das Produkt ist kein Spielzeug, es gehört nicht in Kinderhände! Es besteht
die Gefahr eines lebensgefährlichen elektrischen Schlages!
• Das Produkt darf nur an der Netzspannung betrieben werden (siehe Abschnitt „Technische Daten“). Versuchen Sie nie, das Produkt an einer anderen Spannung zu betreiben, dadurch wird es zerstört.
Vorbereitungen zur Montage
Beachten Sie das Kapitel „Sicherheitshinweise“!
• Montieren Sie die Pendelleuchte nur auf einem stabilen Untergrund. Aufgrund des
hohen Gewichts ist eine gute Befestigung erforderlich.
• Die Pendelleuchte muss so montiert werden, dass sie außerhalb der Reichweite von
Kindern liegt.
• Die Pendelleuchte muss in der bauseitigen Unterverteilung mit einer 10/16A-Sicherung abgesichert werden. Davor muss ein Fehlerstromschutzschalter (FI) geschaltet
werden.
• Die Installation der Pendelleuchte darf nur im spannungsfreien Zustand vorgenommen werden. Hierzu genügt es jedoch nicht, den Lichtschalter auszuschalten!
Schalten Sie die elektrische Netzzuleitung allpolig stromlos, indem Sie die zugehö-
rige Stromkreissicherung entfernen bzw. den Sicherungsautomaten abschalten.
Sichern Sie diese vor unberechtigtem Wiedereinschalten, z.B. mit einem Warnschild.
Schalten Sie auch den zugehörigen Fehlerstromschutzschalter aus.
• Überprüfen Sie die Netzzuleitung auf Spannungsfreiheit, z.B. mit einem geeigneten
Messgerät.

Montage und Anschluss
Leuchtmittel einsetzen bzw. wechseln
Beachten Sie die Informationen im Kapitel „Vorbereitungen zur Montage“!
Aufgrund des Gewichts und der Größe der Pendelleuchte empfehlen wir Ihnen, die Montage nur mit Hilfe einer zweiten Person durchzuführen.
• Zuerst muss die U-förmige Montageschiene an der Decke montiert werden.
Wenn diese in der Leuchte festgeschraubt ist, so drehen Sie die 4 Halteschrauben
mit Hilfe des mitgelieferten Sechskantschlüssels heraus. Entnehmen Sie die Montageschiene aus der Pendelleuchte.
• Die Montageschiene muss entsprechend der späteren Position der Pendelleuchte an
der Raumdecke befestigt werden.
Markieren Sie zunächst die Montageposition an der Raumdecke.
Abhängig von dem Untergrund der Raumdecke sind für die Befestigung der Monta-
geschiene geeignete Schrauben und ggf. Dübel erforderlich.
Achten Sie beim Bohren bzw. Festschrauben darauf, dass keine Kabel oder
Leitungen beschädigt werden!
Stecken Sie die Netzzuleitung durch das Loch in der Mitte der Montageschiene
und schrauben Sie die Montageschiene an der Raumdecke fest.
• Um die spätere Montage zu vereinfachen, sollten Sie jetzt die
umgefähre Länge der zwei Drahtabhängungen und die dafür
erforderliche Länge des Netzkabels zwischen Deckenhalterung und Pendelleuchte einstellen.
Die Länge der Drahtabhängungen wird verstellt, indem Sie die
Hülse (1) nach innen in die Halterung drücken. In dieser Position kann der Draht (2) in der Länge verstellt werden.
Wenn Sie die Hülse (1) wieder loslassen, wird der Draht (2) fi -
xiert.
• Das Netzkabel wird mittels einer transparenten Kunststoff-Madenschraube in der Deckenhalterung fi xiert.
Zum Verstellen der Kabellänge ist die Madenschraube ein Stück he-
rauszudrehen. Anschließend kann das Kabel vorsichtig herausgezogen bzw. hineingeschoben werden.
Drehen Sie die Madenschraube dann wieder vorsichtig fest, wenden
Sie keine Gewalt an!
Vorsicht, Verbrennungsgefahr!
Bevor Sie einen Wechsel eines defekten Leuchtmittels durchführen, warten
Sie, bis sich das defekte Leuchtmittel und auch die Pendelleuchte ausreichend abgekühlt hat.
• Schalten Sie die Netzspannung der Pendelleuchte ab.
• Jedes der beiden röhrenförmigen Leuchtenteile der Pendelleuchte verfügt über zwei
Schraubdeckel.
Hinter einem dieser beiden Schraubdeckel befi ndet sich der herausnehmbare weiße
Kunststoffdiffusor. Dieser muss vorsichtig vollständig herausgezogen werden.
• Drehen Sie ein defektes Leuchtmittel in der Halterung vorsichtig um 90°, anschließend kann es aus den beiden Lampensockeln entnommen werden. Achten Sie dabei darauf, dass es nicht herunterfällt und dabei beschädigt wird! Wenden Sie beim
Drehen keine Gewalt an.
• Setzen Sie ein neues Energiespar-Leuchtmittel (T5-Bauart, max. 14 W) ein und verriegeln Sie es in den beiden Lampensockeln, indem es um 90° gedreht wird (die
Richtung ist dabei belanglos).
• Schieben Sie den weißen Kunststoffdiffusor wieder vorsichtig in die Pendelleuchte
und fi xieren Sie ihn mit dem Schraubdeckel.
• Schalten Sie die Netzspannung wieder zu, überprüfen Sie die Funktion des neuen
Leuchtmit tels.
Wartung und Pfl ege
• Die Pendelleuchte ist bis auf einen gelegentlichen Leuchtmittelwechsel für Sie wartungsfrei.
• Vor einer Reinigung ist die Pendelleuchte auszuschalten bzw. von der Netzspannung zu trennen. Lassen Sie die Pendelleuchte anschließend ausreichend abkühlen.
• Äußerlich sollte die Pendelleuchte nur mit einem sauberen, weichen, trockenen Tuch
abgewischt werden. Verwenden Sie auf keinen Fall aggressive Reinigungsmittel
oder chemische Lösungen, da dadurch das Gehäuse angegriffen (Verfärbungen)
oder die Funktion beeinträchtigt werden könnte.
Drücken Sie nicht zu stark auf das Gehäuse, da andernfalls Kratzspuren möglich
sind.
Staub kann sehr leicht mit einem sauberen, weichen Pinsel und einem Staubsauger
entfernt werden.
Lösen Sie niemals die Halterungen für die Drahtabhängung und das Netzkabel unten an der Pendelleuchte. Stellen Sie die Drahtlänge und die Länge des
Netzkabels immer an der Deckenhalterung ein.
• Stecken Sie den Isolierschlauch auf die Netzleitung in der Pendelleuchte. Diese
dient später zur Isolation der Schraubklemme.
•
Verbinden Sie die Netzzuleitung mit der 3poligen Klemmleiste in der Pendelleuchte (braunes Kabel = L, blaues Kabel = N, gelb/grünes Kabel = PE/Schutzleiter, Erdungssymbol).
Der Schutzleiter muss angeschlossen werden!
Wenn die Pendelleuchte als Ersatz für eine andere Leuchte dient und kein
Schutzleiter zur Verfügung steht, so darf die Pendelleuchte nicht montiert
werden. Verlegen Sie vorher eine neue Netzzuleitung.
Wird kein Schutzleiter angeschlossen, so liegt im Fehlerfall die Netzspannung
am Metallgehäuse der Pendelleuchte an. Es besteht Lebensgefahr durch einen elektrischen Schlag!
• Prüfen Sie auch die anderen Schraubbefestigungen der Klemmleiste (für die Anschlussleitungen der Leuchte) und drehen Sie diese ggf. fest.
• Schieben Sie den Isolierschlauch genau mittig über die Klemmeiste und befestigen
Sie ihn mit den beiden Kabelbindern an den Enden des Isolierschlauchs.
Setzen Sie die Deckenhalterung auf die Montageschiene auf und fi xieren Sie mit den vier

Innensechskantschrauben. Verwenden Sie dazu den mitgelieferten Sechskantschlüssel.
• Stellen Sie die Länge der Drahtabhängung genau ein, so dass die Pendelleuchte
waagrecht hängt. Fixieren Sie außerdem das Netzkabel zwischen der Deckenhalterung und der Pendelleuchte, indem Sie die Kunststoff-Madenschraube in der Deckenhalterung festdrehen, siehe oben.
• Anschließend sind die beiden Leuchtmittel (nicht im Lieferumfang, getrennt bestellbar) in der Pendelleuchte einzusetzen, siehe nächstes Kapitel.
• Nachdem Sie die Leuchtmittel eingesetzt haben, schalten Sie die Netzspannung zu
und überprüfen Sie die Funktion der Pendelleuchte.
Wenn die Leuchtmittel in der Pendelleuchte nicht aufl euchten, so schalten Sie die
Netzspannung sofort wieder ab (Sicherung herausdrehen bzw. Sicherungsautomat
abschalten und zugehörigen FI-Schutzschalter abschalten, so dass die Netzzuleitung allpolig von der Netzspannung getrennt ist).
Überprüfen Sie danach den Anschluss der Pendelleuchte; überprüfen Sie auch den
richtigen Sitz des Leuchtmittels.
Im Zweifelsfall sollten Sie einen Fachmann (z.B. Elektriker) zu Rate ziehen!
Entsorgung
Entsorgen Sie das Produkt am Ende seiner Lebensdauer gemäß den gel-
tenden gesetzlichen Bestimmungen.
Ein defektes Leuchtmittel darf nicht in den Hausmüll gegeben werden.
Energiespar-Leuchtmittel enthalten eine geringe Menge giftiges, gesundheitsgefährliches und umweltschädliches Quecksilber. Geben Sie ein
defektes Energiespar-Leuchtmittel deshalb bei entsprechenden Sammelstellen Ihrer Gemeinde bzw. bei Sondermüll-Sammlungen ab.

Intended use
The pendant lamp is intended for illuminating indoor areas; it only may be installed
and operated in dry, enclosed indoor rooms. The product is only intended for installation on a ceiling.
The safety instructions must be observed at all times!
Any other use than that described above may damage the product. Moreover, this
may give rise to hazards such as short-circuiting, fi re, electric shock, etc. No part of the
product may be modifi ed or converted!

Explanation of Symbols, Inscriptions
The lightning symbol indicates a health hazard, e.g. electric shock.
This symbol indicates specifi c risks associated with handling, function and
use.
The "arrow" symbol indicates special tips and operating information.
• The product is constructed for protection class I; the earth cable must be
connected.
If there is not a mains supply with a protective earth wire available at the
place of installation, the product must not be connected/used there. In this
case, install a new voltage supply with a protective earth wire.
• This product is only to be installed and used in dry conditions indoors. The
product must not get damp or wet as this may damage it; danger of a fatal
electric shock!
• Do not use this lamp in spaces or under adverse ambient conditions where
combustible gases, vapours or dust are or may be present! There is a risk of
explosion!
• Do not hang or attach objects (e.g. decorative material) to the light, there is
a risk of fi re!
• The pendant light may only be operated with two energy-saving light bulbs
of type T5 with max. 14 W.
• Before replacing / inserting a bulb, disconnect the pendant light from the
mains supply.
• Do not look directly or indirectly into the light source to avoid eye injuries.
• Do not expose the product to extreme temperatures, strong vibrations or
strong mechanical stress.
• If you have reason to assume that safe operation is no longer possible, disconnect the product immediately and secure it against inadvertent operation. After this, let an expert check the product.
It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
- the product shows visible signs of damage,
- the product does not work at all or works poorly (fl ickering light, leaking
smoke or a smell of burning, the light fl ickers, audible cracking noises,
discolouration to the product or the adjacent surfaces.)
- the product was stored under unfavourable conditions
- it was exposed to heavy loads during transport
• Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around since it could become a dangerous plaything for children.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Employer’s Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and Operating
Facilities are to be observed!
• If you have any questions that are not answered in this manual, please contact our technical service or another specialist.
The product is intended to be located and used only in dry indoor spaces; it must not get damp or wet.

Caution!
The product may only be installed by a qualifi ed technician (e.g. electri-
cian) who is familiar with the relevant regulations (e.g. VDE, German
electrical wiring regulations)!
Improper work carried out at the mains voltage endangers not only your
life but also the life of others!
If you do not have the expertise required for the installation, do not install it yourself but entrust a qualifi ed electrician.
• For safety and licensing (CE) reasons, unauthorised conversion and/or modifi cations to the product are not permitted.
• The product is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of children! There
is a risk of a lethal electric shock!
• The product may only be operated on the mains voltage (see section "Technical Data"). Never try to operate the product at another voltage as this will
cause its destruction.
Preparations for Installation
Pay attention to the chapter "Safety Instructions"!.
• Only install the pendant light on a stable surface. Due to its high weight, the mounting has to be performed safely and well.
• The hanging lamp must be installed and used out of the reach of children.
• The pendant lamp must be protected by a 10/16A fuse on the customer's distribution
board. A earth circuit fault interrupter must be installed before this (FI protective
switch).
• Only install the hanging lamp w hen it is disconnected from the power su pply. It is not
suffi cient to just turn off at the light switch!
Turn the power off and ensure that none of the poles is carrying a current by remov-
ing the electric circuit's fuse, or switching off at the circuit breaker. Secure it against
unauthorised reconnection, e.g., with a danger sign. In addition, switch off the associated ground fault circuit interrupter (breaker).
• Check that the mains cable is free of current e.g. with an appropriate tester.

Installation and Connection
Inserting/Replacing the Bulb
Pay attention to the information in chapter "Preparations for Installation"!
Due to the weight and size of the pendant lamp, we recommend you to only
carry out the installation with the help of two persons.
• First, the U-shaped mounting rail has to be installed on the ceiling.
If the rail is screwed down on the lamp, remove the 4 locking screws using the Allen
key enclosed. Remove the mounting rail from the pendant lamp.
• The mounting rail must be mounted in accordance with the position, which the pendant lamp will have on the ceiling later on.
First mark the mounting position on the ceiling.
Depending on the surface of the ceiling, suitable screws and dowels may be required
for fastening the mounting rail.
Pay attention when drilling and tightening the screws that no cable or pipes
are damaged!
Insert the mains cable through the hole in the middle of the mounting rail and
bolt the mounting rail down on the ceiling.
• In order to facilitate the installation later on, you should now
adjust the approximate length of the two wire suspensions and
the required length of the mains cable between ceiling bracket
and pendant lamp.
The length of the wire suspensions can be changed by pressing
the bush (1) down towards the inside of the bracket. In this position, the wire (2) can be adjusted in its length.
If you release the bush (1), the wire (2) will be fastened.
• The mains cable is fastened in the ceiling bracket by means of a transparent plastic headless screw.
To adjust the cable length, the headless screw must be unscrewed a
little. Afterwards, the cable can be pulled out or pushed in carefully.
Carefully retighten the headless screw, do not apply any force!
Never unfasten the brackets for the wire suspension and the mains cable at
the bottom of the pendant lamp. Always adjust the wire length and the length
of the mains cable on the ceiling bracket.
• Place the insulating sleeve on the mains cable in the pendant lamp. It servers for
the insulation of the screw-type terminal later on.
•
Connect the mains cable using the 3-pole terminal strip in the pendant lamp (brown cable
= L, blue cable = N, green/yellow cable = PE/earth conductor, earthing symbol).
The protective earth wire must be connected!
When the pendant lamp is to replace an existing light and no protective earth
is available, do not install the lamp. First, draw a new mains cable.
Where the protective earth is not connected, a fault with the mains voltage
might result in the metal housing of the hanging lamp becoming live. There is
a risk of a life-threatening electric shock!
• Also check the other screw connections on the terminal strip (for the light's connection cables) and tighten them if necessary.
• Push the insulation sleeve over the terminal strip so that it is located exactly in the
middle of the strip, and fasten the sleeve at its ends using the two cable ties.
•
Place the ceiling bracket on the mounting rail and fasten it using the four Allen screws. To
this end, use the supplied hexagon wrench.
• Adjust the length of the wire suspension precisely so that the pendant lamp hangs
horizontally. Furthermore, fasten the mains cable between the ceiling bracket and
the pendant lamp by bolting down the plastic headless screw in the ceiling bracket,
see above.
• Afterwards, insert the two light bulbs (not included in the delivery, to be ordered
separately) in the pendant lamp, see next chapter.
• After inserting the light bulbs, switch on the mains voltage and check the correct
functioning of the pendant lamp.
If the bulbs do not light up, switch off at the mains immediately (remove the fuse or
turn off the circuit breaker followed by the earth-leakage circuit breaker, so that the
all of the light poles are disconnected from the mains voltage).
Then, check that the pendant light is connected correctly; also check that the bulb is
inserted correctly.
In case of doubt, contact a professional (e.g. an electrician)!
Attention, risk of burns!
Before you replace a faulty bulb, wait until the faulty bulb and the pendant
light have cooled down suffi ciently.
• Switch off the power supply to the pendant lamp.
• Each of the two tube-shaped lamp parts of the pendant light has two screw caps.
Behind one of these two screw caps there is a removable, white plastic diffuser. The
latter must be pulled out carefully and completely.
• Carefully rotate a defect light bulb in the holder by 90°. Afterwards, it can be removed from the two lamp sockets. Take care that it does not fall and be damaged!
Do not use any force during the rotation.
• Insert a new energy-saving light bulb (T5 type, max. 14 W) and lock it in the two lamp
sockets by rotating it by 90° (the direction is unimportant).
• Carefully push back the white plastic diffuser into the pendant lamp and fasten it
with the screw cap.
• Switch on the mains power supply and check that the bulb is functioning.
Maintenance and Care
• The pendant light does not need any other maintenance except the replacement of
the bulb.
• Switch off the hanging lamp or disconnect it from the mains before cleaning. After
that, allow suffi cient time for the hanging light to cool.
• The exterior of the hanging lamp should only be wiped with a clean, soft, dry cloth.
Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions that could damage the
housing (discolouring) or impair operation.
Do not press too hard on the housing, as scratches might appear.
Dust can easily be removed using a clean, soft brush and a vacuum cleaner.
Disposal
Dispose of the unserviceable product according to the relevant statutory
regulations!
Do not put faulty light bulbs in the household rubbish. Energy-saving bulbs
contain a low amount of toxic mercury which is detrimental to your health
and harmful to the environment. Therefore, dispose of a defect energysaving bulb at the corresponding collection points of your community, or
at collection points for hazardous waste.

Explications des symboles et des signes
Le symbole de l’éclair est utilisé pour signaler un danger pour votre santé,
p.ex. : une décharge électrique.
Ce symbole indique les risques spécifi ques lors du maniement, du fonctionne-
ment et de l’utilisation du produit.
Le symbole de la « fl èche » précède les conseils et les consignes d’utilisation.
La lampe est prévue pour une utilisation exclusive dans des locaux secs
et fermés. Elle ne doit pas être mouillée ou humide.
Respectez le manuel d’utilisation !
• Le produit est construit selon la classe de protection I. Il doit être raccordé à
la terre.
S’il n’y a pas de câble d’alimentation avec une prise de terre sur le lieu de
montage, le produit ne doit pas être raccordé / utilisé. Dans un tel cas, posez
un nouveau câble d’alimentation avec un fi l de terre.
• Le produit est conçu uniquement pour une installation et un fonctionnement dans des locaux intérieurs, secs et fermés. Le produit ne doit pas être
humide ou mouillé, danger de mort par électrocution !
• N’utilisez pas le luminaire dans des locaux ou dans des environnements
défavorables où il y a un risque de présence de gaz, de vapeurs ou de poussière infl ammables ! Vous courez un risque d’explosion!
• Ne suspendez pas et n’accrochez pas d’objets (décorations par ex.) sur la
lampe, risque d’incendie !
• Le lustre doit fonctionner uniquement avec deux ampoules à économie
d’énergie de type T5 de 14 W max.
• Coupez la tension d’alimentation du lustre avant l’insertion ou le remplacement de l’ampoule.
• Pour éviter toute lésion oculaire, ne regardez pas directement ou indirectement dans la source de lumière.
• Le produit ne doit pas être exposé à des températures extrêmes, aux rayons
du soleil, à de fortes vibrations ou à l’humidité.
• S’il s’avère qu’une utilisation sans danger n’est plus possible, l’appareil doit
être mis hors service et protégé contre toute utilisation involontaire. Faites
contrôler le produit ensuite par un spécialiste.
Un fonctionnement sans risques n’est plus assuré lorsque :
- l’appareil est visiblement endommagé
- l’appareil ne fonctionne plus ou pas correctement (lumière vacillante, fu-
mée épaisse ou odeur de brûlé, crépitements audibles, décolorations du
produit ou des surfaces adjacentes)
- l’appareil a été stocké dans des conditions défavorables
- l’appareil a subi des conditions de transport diffi ciles
• Ne laissez pas traîner le matériel d’emballage. Cela pourrait constituer un
jouet dangereux pour les enfants.

Préparations pour le montage

validité de la garantie sera annulée ! Nous déclinons toute responsabilité pour les dommages consécutifs !

Attention !
L’installation du produit ne doit être effectuée que par un technicien
spécialisé (p.ex. électricien) connaissant parfaitement les réglementations spécifi ques (p.ex. VDE) !
Toute intervention non conforme au niveau de l’alimentation du secteur
représente un danger non seulement pour vous-même, mais également
pour autrui !
N’effectuez pas le montage vous-même si vous n’avez pas les connaissances nécessaires pour le montage. Adressez-vous à un spécialiste.
• Pour des raisons de sécurité et d’homologation (CE), il est interdit de modifi er la construction ou de transformer l’appareil soi-même.
• Ce produit n´est pas un jouet, gardez-le hors de la portée des enfants. Il y a
un risque d’électrocution avec danger de mort !
• Le produit ne doit être utilisé que sous l’alimentation électrique du secteur
(voir le chapitre « Caractéristiques techniques »). Ne tentez jamais de faire
fonctionner le produit sur une autre source d’alimentation, car cela le détruirait .
Tenez compte du chapitre « Consignes de sécurité » !
• Montez le lustre uniquement sur un support stable. En raison du poids important du
produit, une bonne fi xation est nécessaire.
• Installez le lustre de façon à ce qu’il soit hors de portée des enfants.
• Le lustre doit être protégé dans la boîte à fusibles du bâtiment par un fusible 10 / 16A.
Un disjoncteur différentiel (FI) doit être monté en amont.
• Le lustre doit être installé uniquem ent lorsqu’il est hors tension. Pour cela, il ne su ffi t
pas d’éteindre l’interrupteur du luminaire !
Coupez aussi l’alimentation électrique sur tous les pôles en retirant le fusible et en
déconnectant le disjoncteur automatique. Assurez-vous qu’elle ne puisse être rétablie de manière intempestive ; placez p. ex. un message d’avertissement sur le
disjoncteur. Ensuite, mettez hors service le disjoncteur de courant résiduel associé.
• Contrôlez la mise hors tension de l’alimentation électrique à l’aide d’un appareil de
mesure approprié.

Montage et raccordement
Installation et remplacement de l’ampoule
Tenez compte des informations dans le chapitre « Préparations pour le
montage » !
En raison du poids et de la taille du lustre, nous vous recommandons d’effectuer l’installation à l’aide d’une autre personne.
• Vous devez d’abord installer le rail en U au plafond.
S’il est livré vissé avec le luminaire, dévissez alors les 4 vis de fi xation à l’aide de la clé
Allen fournie. Enlevez le rail de montage du lustre.
• Le rail de montage doit correspondre à l’emplacement futur du lustre au plafond
Marquez la position de montage sur le plafond.
Selon la nature du plafond, des vis et des chevilles appropriées seront nécessaires
pour fi xer le rail de montage.
Lors du perçage et du serrage, veillez à ne pas endommager les câbles ou les
conduites !
Passez le câble d’alimentation par le trou dans le centre du rail de montage et
vissez soigneusement le rail de montage au plafond.
• Pour simplifi er l ’installation ultérieure, vous devez maintenant
ajuster la longueur des deux câbles de suspension et la longueur nécessaire du cordon d’alimentation entre la fi xation
au plafond et le lustre.
La longueur des câbles de suspension est ajustée en pous-
sant le tube (1) vers l’intérieur de la fi xation de plafond. Dans
cette position, le câble de suspension (2) peut être ajusté en
longueur.
Lorsque vous relâchez le tube (1) à nouveau, le câble (2) est
fi xé.
• Le cordon d’alimentation est fi xé au moyen d’une vis de blocage en
plastique transparent dans la fi xation de plafond.
Pour ajuster la longueur du cordon, dévissez légèrement la vis de blo-
cage. Ensuite, le cordon peut être tiré ou poussé doucement.
Revissez ensuite la vis de blocage sans utiliser de force inutile !
Ne desserrez jamais les supports pour les câbles de suspension et le cordon
d’alimentation sous le lustre . Ajustez toujours la longueur du câble de suspension et du cordon d’alimentation sur la fi xation de plafond.
• Connectez le manchon d’isolation sur le raccordement secteur du lustre. Cela servira ensuite à isoler le connecteur à visser.
•
Connectez le câble d’alimentation au bornier situé dans le boitier à trois pôles du lustre
(câble brun = L, câble bleu = N, câble jaune / vert = PE / fi l de terre, symbole de la masse)
Connectez impérativement le fi l de terre !
Si le lustre remplace un autre luminaire et qu’il n’y a pas de fi l de terre dispo-
nible, le lustre ne doit pas être monté. Il faudra d’abord poser un nouveau
câble d’alimentation avec un fi l de terre.
Si vous ne raccordez pas de conducteur de protection, le boîtier en métal du
lustre se trouvera sous tension en cas de panne électrique. Il y a alors danger
de mort par électrocution !
Attention, il y a un risque de brûlures !
Avant de remplacer une ampoule défectueuse, attendez que l’ampoule et le
lustre aient suffi samment refroidi.
• Coupez le lustre de la tension du secteur.
• Chaque partie tubulaire du lustre comporte deux bouchons à vis.
Derrière un de ces deux bouchons à vis, vous trouverez le diffuseur en plastique
blanc démontable. Il doit être retiré complètement et soigneusement
• Tournez doucement à 90° l’ampoule défectueuse dans le support. Ensuite elle peut
être retirée des deux douilles de la lampe. Veillez à ce qu’elle ne tombe pas, elle
risque d’être endommagée ! Ne forcez surtout pas !
• Insérez une nouvelle ampoule à économie d’énergie (de type T5, max. 14W) et verrouillez les deux douilles de lampe en tournant à 90° (le sens n’est pas important).
• Remettez avec précaution le diffuseur en plastique blanc dans le lustre et fi xez-le
avec le bouchon à vis.
• Appliquez la tension d’alimentation et vérifi ez le fonctionnement de l’ampoule.
Maintenance et entretien
• Le lustre ne nécessite aucun entretien hormis le remplacement occasionnel de l’ampoule.
• Avant tout nettoyage, il faut éteindre l’applique et la couper de la tension d’alimentation. Ensuite laissez suffi samment refroidir le lustre.
• L’extérieur du lustre ne doit être nettoyé qu’avec un chiffon doux, sec et propre.
N’utilisez en aucun cas de détergent agressif ou de solution chimique, car ils pourraient détériorer la surface du boîtier (décolorations) ou nuire au bon fonctionnement de l’appareil.
N’appuyez pas trop fort sur le boîtier car cela risquerait de rayer l’appareil.
Vous pouvez éliminer les poussières à l’aide d’un pinceau fl exible propre et d’un as-
pirateur.
Elimination
Jetez l’appareil devenu inutilisable suivant les lois en vigueur.
Les ampoules défectueuses ne doivent pas être jetées dans les poubelles
ordinaires. Les ampoules économiques contiennent de petites quantités
de mercure toxique présentant un danger pour la santé et pour l’environnement. Déposez les ampoules économiques défectueuses dans un point
de collecte correspondant de votre commune ou un point de collecte de
déchets dangereux.

• Contrôlez également les autres fi xations par vis de la barrette à bornes (pour les
fi ls de raccordement de la lampe) et fi xez-les en tournant, le cas échéant.
• Faites glisser le manchon isolant en le centrant bien sur le bornier et fi xez-le avec les
deux attaches de câble aux extrémités du manchon isolant.
•
Mettez la fi xation de plafond sur le rail de montage et fi xez avec les quatre vis hexago-
nales creuses. Veuillez utiliser la clé Allen fournie.
• Ajustez correctement la longueur des câbles de suspension, de sorte que le lustre
soit bien suspendu à l’horizontale. Fixez aussi le cordon d’alimentation entre la fi xa-
tion de plafond et le lustre en serrant la vis de blocage en plastique dans la fi xation
de plafond - voir ci-dessus.
• Ensuite insérez les deux ampoules (non incluses, à commander séparément) dans le
lustre - voir le chapitre suivant.
• Après avoir mis en place l’ampoule, appliquez la tension du réseau et vérifi ez le fonc-
tionnement du lustre.
Si l’ampoule dans le lustre ne s’allume pas, mettez immédiatement l’alimentation
du secteur hors tension (retirez le fusible ou ouvrez le disjoncteur et le disjoncteur
différentiel FI appropriés, de sorte que l’alimentation électrique soit coupée de la
tension du secteur sur tous les pôles).
Ensuite, vérifi ez les branchements du lustre. Vérifi ez aussi l’insertion correcte de
l’ampoule.
En cas de doute, demandez l’aide d’un spécialiste (p. ex. un électricien) !

De wandlamp dient ter verlichting binnenshuis; slechts in droge, gesloten binnenruimtes monteren en gebruiken. Het product is uitsluitend geschikt voor plafondmontage.
Volg de veiligheidsaanwijzingen te allen tijde op!
Een andere toepassing dan hierboven beschreven, leidt tot beschadiging van dit pro-
duct; daarnaast bestaat gevaar van bijv. kortsluiting, brand of een elektrische schok.
Er mag niets aan dit product worden gewijzigd resp.omgebouwd!
Dit product voldoet aan de wettelijke, nationale en Europese eisen. Alle voorkomende

Verklaring van symbolen, opschriften
Het bliksemsymbool geeft aan wanneer er gevaar bestaat voor uw gezondheid, bijv. door een elektrische schok.
Dit symbool wijst op bijzondere gevaren bij de hantering, het gebruik en de
bediening.
Het „pijl“-symbool wijst op speciale tips en bedieningsaanwijzingen.
• Het product is geconstrueerd conform veiligheidsklasse I, de randaarde
moet worden aangesloten.
Als op de plaats van montage geen netsnoer met randaarde beschikbaar is,
dan mag u het product daar niet aansluiten/gebruiken. Leg in dit geval een
nieuw netsnoer met randaarde aan.
• Het product is uitsluitend bedoeld voor montage en gebruik in gesloten,
droge ruimtes binnenshuis. Het product mag niet vochtig of nat worden, er
bestaat levensgevaar door een elektrische schok!
• Gebruik de lamp niet in ruimtes of on der ongunstige omstandigheden waarbij brandbare gassen, dampen of stofdeeltjes aanwezig zijn of aanwezig
kunnen zijn! Explosiegevaar!
• Hang of bevestig geen voorwerpen (zoals decoratiemateriaal) aan de verlichting, brandgevaar!
• De hanglamp mag alleen met twee energiebesparende lichtbronnen van het
type T5 met max. 14W gebruikt worden.
• Koppel de hanglamp voor het installeren resp. voor het wisselen van de lichtbron los van de netspanning.
• Om oogletsels te vermijden, kijk niet direct of indirect in de lichtbron
• Het product mag niet worden blootgesteld aan extreme temperaturen, sterke trillingen of een zware mechanische belasting.
• Stel - als aannemelijk is dat ongevaarlijk gebruik niet langer mogelijk is - het
product buiten bedrijf en bescherm het tegen onbedoeld gebruik. Laat een
vakman vervolgens het product controleren.
Ga ervan uit dat veilig gebruik niet langer mogelijk is, als:
- het product zichtbaar is beschadigd
- het product niet of niet langer correct werkt (fl ikkerend licht, vrijkomende
rook resp. brandlucht, hoorbare knisperingen, verkleuringen van het product of aangrenzende vlaktes)
- het product onder ongunstige omstandigheden werd opgeslagen
- het apparaat aan zware transportbelastingen heeft blootgestaan
• Laat het verpakkingsmateriaal niet rondslingeren, dit kan voor kinderen gevaarlijk speelgoed zijn.
• Bij industriële voorzieningen dienen de ongevallenpreventievoorschriften
van de bond voor industriële beroepscoöperaties voor elektrische installaties en bedrijfsmiddelen te worden nageleefd!
• Raadpleeg onze technische klantenservice of andere vakmensen als u nog
vragen hebt die niet in deze gebruiksaanwijzing worden beantwoord.
De lamp is uitsluitend geschikt voor toepassing en gebruik in droge
binnenruimtes, en mag niet vochtig of nat worden.

informatie over de juiste manier van monteren en de werking.
Bij schade, veroorzaakt door het niet opvolgen van deze gebruiksaanwijzing, vervalt ieder recht op waarborg/garantie! Voor vervolgschade zijn
wij niet aansprakelijk!
Bij materiële schade of persoonlijk letsel, veroorzaakt door ondeskundig gebruik of het niet naleven van de veiligheidsvoorschriften, zijn wij
niet aansprakelijk! In dergelijke gevallen vervalt de waarborg/garantie!
Let op!
Uitsluitend een erkende vakman (bijv. elektricien), die vertrouwd is met
de desbetreffende voorschriften (bijv. KEMA), mag het product installeren!
Door ondeskundige werkzaamheden aan het elektriciteitsnet brengt u
niet alleen uw eigen veiligheid, maar ook die van anderen in gevaar!
Laat het monteren aan een vakman over als u zelf daarvoor niet over de
nodige vakkennis beschikt.
• Vanwege veiligheids- en toelatingseisen (CE) is het eigenmachtig ombouwen en/of wijzigen van het apparaat niet toegestaan.
• Dit product is geen speelgoed, houd het buiten bereik van kinderen! Er bestaat kans op een levensgevaarlijke elektrische schok!
• Gebruik het product uitsluitend onder netspanning (zie paragraaf „Technische gegevens“). Probeer het product nooit onder een andere spanning te
gebruiken, hierdoor kan het onherstelbaar beschadigd raken.
Montagevoorbereidingen
Houd rekening met het hoofdstuk „Veiligheidsaanwijzingen“!
• Monteer de hanglamp uitsluitend op een stabiele ondergrond. Op grond van het
hoge gewicht is een goede bevestiging vereist.
• De hanglamp moet zo gemonteerd worden, dat ze buiten de reikwijdte van kinderen
hangt.
• De hanglamp dient in de verdeelkast geleverd door de opdrachtgever beveiligd te
worden met een 10/16A zekering. Daarvoor moet een aardlekschakelaar (FI) geschakeld worden.
• De installatie van de hanglamp alleen uitvoeren als de betreffende stroomgroep
spanningsvrij is. Daartoe volstaat het niet de lichtschakelaar op ‚uit‘ te zetten!
Schakel de netspanning voor alle polen af door de zekering van de desbetreffende
groep uit te nemen, resp. door de zekeringautomaat uit te schakelen. Zorg ervoor
dat deze niet onbevoegd weer wordt aangezet, bijv. met een waarschuwingsbordje.
Schakel ook de bijbehorende aardlekschakelaar uit.
• Controleer of het netsnoer volledig spanningsvrij is, bijv. met behulp van een geschikt meetinstrument.

Monteren en aansluiten
Plaatsen of vervangen van de lichtbron
Neem de informatie in het hoofdstuk „Voorbereidingen voor de montage‘‘
in acht!
Op grond van het gewicht en de grootte van de hanglamp bevelen wij aan, de
montage alleen met hulp van een tweede persoon uit te voeren.
• Eerst moet de U-vormige montagerail aan het plafond gemonteerd worden.
Als deze in de lamp is vastgeschroefd, dan draait u de 4 schroeven eruit met behulp
van de meegeleverde inbussleutel. Verwijder de montagerail uit de hanglamp.
• De montagerail moet conform de latere positie van de hanglamp aan het plafond
bevestigd worden.
Teken vervolgens de montagepositie af op het plafond.
Afhankelijk van de on dergrond van het plafond zijn voor de bevestiging van de mon-
tagerail geschikte schroeven c.q. pluggen noodzakelijk.
Zorg er bij het boren resp. het vastschroeven voor, dat er geen kabels of leidingen beschadigd raken!
Steek de voedingskabel door het gat in het midden van de montagerail en schro-
ef de montagerail aan het plafond vast.
• Om de latere montage te vereenvoudigen, zou u nu de globale
lengte van de twee kabelmontagesystemen en de daavoor
noodzakelijke lengte van de voedingskabel tussen plafondhouder en hanglamp moeten instellen.
De lengte van de kabelmontagesystemen wordt versteld,
wanneer u de huls (1) naar binnen in de houder drukt. In deze
positie kan het snoer (2) in de lengte versteld worden.
Als u de huls (1) weer loslaat, wordt het snoer (2) gefi xeerd.
• De voeding skabel wordt door middel van een transparante kunststofmadenschroef in de plafondhouder gefi xeerd.
Voor het verstellen van de snoerlengte moet de madenschroef een
stukje uitgedraaid worden. Vervolgens kan het snoer voorzichtig uitresp. ingeschoven worden.
Draai de madenschroef dan weer voorzichtig vast, gebruik geen ge-
weld!
Maak nooit de houders voor de snoerbevestiging los en de voedingskabel onder aan de hanglamp. Stel de snoerlengte en de lengte van de voedingskabel
altijd aan de plafondhouder in.
• Plaats de isoleerslang op de voedingskabel in de hanglamp. Deze dient later als
isolatie van de schroefklemmen.
•
Verbind de voedingskabel met de drie polige klemmenstrook in de hanglam p (bruine snoer
= L , blauwe snoer = N, gele/groene snoer = PE/randaarde, aardingsymbool).
De randaarde moet worden aangesloten!
Als de hanglamp als vervanging voor een andere lamp dient en er geen ran-
daarde beschikbaar is, dan mag de hanglamp niet gemonteerd worden. Trek
vooraf nieuwe netspanningsnoeren.
Wanneer er geen randaarde is aangesloten, dan kan er elektrische spanning
op de metalen behuizing va n de hanglamp komen te staa n. Er bestaat levensgevaar door een elektrische schok!
Voorzichtig: Gevaar voor verbranden!
Wacht - voordat u een defecte lichtbron vervangt - totdat de defecte lichtbron
en ook de hanglamp voldoende afgekoeld zijn.
• Schakel de netspanning van de hanglamp uit.
• Elk van de beide buisvormige lampdelen van de hanglamp beschikt over twee schroefdeksels.
Achter één van deze beide schroefdeksels bevinden zich de uitneembare witte
kunststofdiffusor. Deze moet er voorzichtig volledig uitgetrokken worden.
• Draai een defecte lichtbron in de houder voorzichtig 90º om, aansluitend kan ze uit
de beide lampensokkels genomen worden. Let er hierbij op dat ze er niet uitvalt en
daarbij beschadigd raakt! Gebruik bij het draaien geen geweld.
• Plaats een nieuwe energiebesparende-lichtbron (T5-type, max. 14 W) en vergrendel
ze in de beide lampensokkels, waarbij ze 90º gedraaid wordt ( de richting daarbij is
onbelangrijk).
• Schuif de witte kunststofdiffusor weer voorzichtig in de hanglamp en fi xeer het met
de schroefdeksel.
• Schakel de netspanning weer in en controleer of de nieuwe lichtbron werkt.
Service en onderhoud
• De hanglamp is met uitzondering van het wisselen van de lichtbron onderhoudsvrij.
• Voordat u de hanglamp reinigt dient u deze uit te schakelen resp. van de netspanning los te kopppelen. Laat de hanglamp vervolgens voldoende afkoelen.
• Veeg de buitenkant van de hanglamp slechts schoon met een schone, zachte, en
droge doek. Gebruik in geen geval agressieve schoonmaakmiddelen of chemische
oplossingen, omdat deze de behuizing kunnen aantasten (verkleuringen) of de werking beïnvloeden.
Druk niet te hard op de behuizing, er kunnen krassen ontstaan.
Stof is heel gemakkelijk af te nemen met behulp van een schone, zachte kwast en
een stofzuiger.
Afvoer
Voer het product aan het einde van zijn levensduur af in overeenstemming
met de geldende wettelijke bepalingen.
Voer een defecte lichtbron niet via het huisvuil af. Energiebesparende licht-
bronnen bevatten een geringe hoeveelheid gif, kwikzilver, dat schadelijk is
voor de gezondheid en het milieu. Breng een defecte energiebesparendelichtbron daarom naar de betreffende verzamelplaats van uw gemeente
resp. naar een verzamelplaats voor gevaarlijk afval.

• Controleer ook de andere schroefbevestigingen op de klemmenstrook (voor de
aansluitkabels van de lamp) en draai ze zo nodig vast.
• Schuif de isolatieslang precies gecentreerd over de klemmenstrook en bevestig het
met de beide kabelbinders aan het einde van de isolatieslang.
•
Plaats de plafondhouder op de montagerail en fi xeer hem met de vier inbusschroeven.
Gebruik daartoe de meegeleverde inbussleutel.
•
Stel de lengte van het kabelmontagesysteem precies in, zodat de hanglamp verticaal
hangt Fixeer bovendien de voeding skabel tussen de plafondhouder en de hanglamp,
terwijl u de kunststof-madenschroef in de plafondhouder vastdraait, zie boven.
• Vervolgens moeten de beide lichtbronnen ( niet bij de levering inbegrepen, afzonderlijk bestelbaar) in de hanglamp geplaatst worden, zie volgend hoofdstuk.
• Nadat u de lichtbron geplaatst hebt, schakel de netspanning in en controleer de
functie van de hanglamp.
Als de lichtbron in de hanglamp niet gaat branden, schakel de netspanning dan on-
middellijk weer uit (zekering eruit draaien resp. zekeringenautomaat uitschakelen,
aanverwante aardlekschakelaar uitschakelen, zodat het netspanningsno er voor alle
polen van de netspanning is losgekoppeld.)
Controleer daarna de aansluiting van de hanglamp; controleer ook op het correct
passen van de lichtbron.
Raadpleeg in geval van twijfel een vakman (bijv. elektricien)!
