ThisRAIDExpress133cardisanexcellentproductresultingfromSocconcept.It
includesoneRAIDChipcombiningtheCPU,firmware,advancedPCIcontrollerand
IDEcontroller.ItsarchitecturecanprovideusersaRAIDsystemwithlowCPU
utilization.WhenaPCisinthehighCPUoperationorPCItraffic,userswon’ thave
anypenaltiesforinstallingtheRAIDsystem.Thisisbecausethissystemembedsa
localCPUtodealwiththeRAIDfunctionandit’ sunnecessarytoshareCPU’ s
performance.ItisentirelydifferentfromthetraditionalsoftwareRAIDsystem.

ATA/133driveandRAIDfunctiontoachievethebestperformanceandgetthemerit
ofsystem’ sstability.
TheRAIDExpress133cardcansupporttheRAID0(striping),RAID1(mirroring),
RAID0+1(stripingandmirroring)orJBOD(spanning)mode.Whenasystemis
programmedtotheRAID0mode,itcanreadorwritetwodriversatthesametimeto
enhancetheperformance.WhenasystemisprogrammedtotheRAID1mode,two
drivershavethesamedataanditwillpreventdatafrombeingdamaged.Oncedata
aredamaged,thesystemwillstarttherebuildfunctionautomaticallyandsavedata
