Las destructoras de documentos de Swordsh están garantizadas frente a cualquier fallo o mal funcionamiento debido a componentes defectuosos o problemas de
fabricación durante un periodo de 2 años, a partir de la fecha en la que fueron adquiridas por su comprador original. Quedan excluidos de la garantía los defectos o fallos
derivados de un uso incorrecto o indebido, con independencia de que éste haya sido intencionado o no, o del incumplimiento de las instrucciones de Swordsh durante
el uso de la máquina o las tareas de mantenimiento de la misma. Las destructoras de documentos de Swordsh no contienen ninguna pieza que necesite servicios de
mantenimiento por parte del usuario. Las reparaciones no autorizadas o los intentos de realizar tareas de mantenimiento en la unidad invalidarán la garantía.
La lubricación forma parte esencial del mantenimiento de la destructora de papel y por lo tanto es necesario para mantener la validez de la garantía. Las destructoras de
documentos de Swordsh han sido diseñadas para destruir solamente aquellos materiales especicados en las instrucciones.* El incumplimiento de las instrucciones de
Swordsh invalidarán la garantía.

Swordsh documentversnipperaars zijn gegarandeerd voor een periode van 2 jaar vanaf de datum van aankoop door de oorspronkelijke consument tegen gebreken of
storing vanwege gebrekkige onderdelen of nalatigheid bij de vervaardiging. De garantie vervalt indien storingen of defecten zijn veroorzaakt door onjuist of oneigenlijk
gebruik, zowel opzettelijk als onopzettelijk, of door het niet opvolgen van de aanwijzingen van Swordsh tijdens de bediening of het onderhoud van het apparaat. De
Swordsh versnipperaar bevat geen onderdelen die door de gebruiker onderhouden kunnen worden. Ongeautoriseerde reparaties of pogingen tot onderhoud van het
apparaat maakt de garantie ongeldig.

Om uw Swordsh kantoormachine te retourneren voor service onder garantie, verzendt u het apparaat inclusief het aankoopbewijs aan uw distributeur of neemt u
contact op met de klantenservice van Swordsh. Als het apparaat onder garantie wordt geretourneerd, dient het in een geschikte verpakking te worden verstuurd. De
garantie is ongeldig indien het product onvoldoende verpakt is, waardoor schade ontstaat.
* NB: door papier te versnipperen dat nietjes of paperclips bevat, worden de messen sneller bot. Swordsh versnipperaars zijn ontworpen voor het versnipperen van maximaal
100 cd’s/dvd’s gedurende de garantieperiode. Schade als gevolg van het teveel versnipperen van papier met nietjes/paperclips, cd’s of dvd’s valt niet onder de garantie.

Per usufruire del servizio di assistenza durante il periodo di validità della garanzia, restituire la macchina per ucio Swordsh al proprio rivenditore unitamente alla prova
di acquisto, oppure contattare il servizio clienti Swordsh. Per la restituzione della macchina ancora in garanzia, utilizzare un imballaggio adeguato. Un eventuale cattivo
imballaggio causante danni al prodotto invalidera’ la garanzia.
* La continua distruzione di documenti aventi punti metallici o graette indebolira’ nel tempo le lamette da taglio. Per la distruzione di CD o DVD, I distruttorri di documenti
Swordsh sono concepiti per la distruzione di un massimo di 100 unita’ durante il periodo di garanzia. Eventuali danni causati dall’eccessiva distruzione di documenti con punti

Swordsh Document Shredders
SWORDFISH 2-YEARS LIMITED WARR ANTY FOR PARTS AND LABOUR
Swordsh document shredders are warranted against failure or malfunction due to faulty components or workmanship for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase
by the original consumer. Defects or failures, which have been caused by incorrect or wrongful use, regardless whether unintentional or intentional during the operation
or maintenance of the device, are excluded from the warranty. There are no user-serviceable parts inside a Swordsh shredder. Unauthorized repair or attempts to
service the unit will invalidate the warranty.
Oiling is an essential part of shredder maintenance and is necessary in order to maintain the warranty. Swordsh document shredders have been designed to shred only
those materials outlined within the instructions*.
Non-compliance with Swordsh’s instructions will invalidate the warranty.
For service of the unit under warranty, please return your Swordsh oce machine with proof of purchase to your dealer or contact Swordsh customer service. In the
event of returning the machine under warranty, suitable packaging must be used. Insucient packaging resulting in damage will invalidate the warranty.
* Please note that shredding sheets fastened by staples or paperclips will progressively wear down the cutting blades.
For CD/DVD shredding, Swordsh shredders have been designed to shred up to 100 CDs/DVDs during the warranty period. Damage caused by excessive shredding of fastened
sheets, CDs or DVDs is not covered within the warranty.

Materialfehlern abdeckt. Beschädigungen oder Defekte, die durch falsche Bedienung, egal ob unbeabsichtigt oder beabsichtigt, oder durch Nichtbeachtung der

von CDs/DVDs sind Swordsh Aktenvernichter auf bis zu 100 CDs/DVDs während der Garantiezeit ausgelegt. Schäden durch das übermäßige Schneiden von gehefteten/

Swordsh Shredder Oil is available in two handy varieties:

Empty the waste bin. Switch the
shredder to AUTO and feed one
lubrication sachet directly into
the feed slot (Figure 1). Once the
sachet has completely shredded,
run the shredder in REVERSE for
approximately 10 seconds to
complete lubrication.
Swordsh Shredder Oil Bottle
Switch the shredder o. Open the
micro dispenser carefully and apply
around 10ml of shredder lubricant
directly into the feed slot (Figure
2). Ensure oil is applied along the
length of the feed opening. Switch
the shredder on and run in REVERSE
for 10 seconds to distribute the oil
onto the cutters. Alternatively, a
strip of lubricant across a sheet of
paper and shred (Figure 3).

Warnings
Clearing a Jam
If paper is not inserted properly into the shredder, or if the sheet capacity is exceeded, a jam may result. The
shredder will automatically stop until the jam is cleared. Move the switch to the REVERSE (REV) position, and
remove the excess paper from the top and pull it out.
TO PREVENT ANY INJURIES, DO NOT PLACE YOUR HANDS OR ANY OTHER OBJECTS NEAR THE FEED OPENING.
Once the paper is cleared, normal shredding operation can resume. If the shredder jams while in REVERSE,
press the switch to the AUTO position and let the shredder run to clear the jammed paper. If the jam does not
clear, slide the switch back and forth between the REV and AUTO until the jam is cleared. If the jam cannot be
cleared following this procedure, unplug the unit and carefully remove the jammed paper manually.
Maintaining your shredder and oiling it regular will help to prevent jamming.
Overheating
Continuous shredding should not last more than 2 minutes, after which the shredder should be allowed
to cool down for 30 minutes before continuing. If your shredder overheats, the unit will automatically shut
o and all functions will cease in order to protect the motor. Simply turn o and unplug the shredder from
the power outlet, allowing enough time for the motor to cool down. The shredder will not resume normal
function until the temperature of the motor cools down to a safe temperature. Then plug the shredder back
into the outlet, turn the unit back on and resume normal operation.
Empty the waste bin frequently to avoid overloading the basket and damaging the cutting mechanism.
Staples and Paperclips
Shredders are designed primarily to shred paper and single credit cards or CDs (as indicated on page 2).
Although Swordsh shredders are safe to shred the occasional standard staple, you should remove them
if possible. Also, industrial or non-standard, large size staples must be removed. Paperclips should not
be shredded at any time, as they signicantly reduce the life of the shredder. Please remove staples and
paperclips from paper before shredding.
