This space-saving rotary 5-in-1 Creative Trimmer will enable you to make straight
cuts, wavy cuts, perforations and score-lines with ease. The cutting head holds
four di erent rotary blades – changing from one to another is quick and easy.
The removable corner-trimmer produces neat round corners on your work.
And – when you have nished, the Creative Trimmer folds away for easy storage!

Operation
Remove any staples or paper-clips from the paper that you wish to cut.

Unfold the baseplate and

set it on a stable worktop.
Open the transparent cover on the cutting

head and select the desired blade by rotating
the silver thumb-wheel.
Closing the transparent cover will lock

the desired blade in place. If the cover
does not close completely, please adjust
the thumbwheel.
Slide the cutting head to one end of the guide rail.

Position the paper under the

transparent pressure-plate.

Use one hand to press

down on the pressure-plate,
to hold the paper in place.
With the other hand, press

down rmly on the cutting
head whilst sliding it along
the guide-rail.
Note: increased pressure will be
required when cutting multiple
sheets of paper
Helpful Hints
•
Do not exceed the stated capacity of each blade as this will damage the
trimmer and produce inaccurate cuts
•
For precise work, cut as few sheets at a time as possible
•
Always perform some test cuts – especially when cutting a new material
•
For best results, press down rmly on the cutting head then slide it slowly
and steadily

Using the Corner Trimmer
The corner-trimmer supplied is attached to the trimmer by a hook-and-loop fastener,
so that it is always handy. It will produce a neat, rounded corner on up to 5 sheets of
80gsm paper at a time.
Remove the corner-trimmer

from the Creative Trimmer
and place it on a stable
work-top.
Insert the paper into the silver corner.

Press down rmly on the raised boss.

Waste clippings will be collected in the corner-trimmer. To empty, turn the

corner-trimmer upside-down and remove the clear base.
Replacing the Cutting Head
Even the blades in a Sword sh trimmer will eventually become dull and require
replacement. New cutting heads, fully assembled and complete with four blades,
are available from your usual Sword sh dealer (the product code is 40344).

Replacing the Cutting Mat Strip
The rotary blades run on a replaceable cutting-mat strip. In time, this will wear and
require replacement. However it will have a long life as it can be both rotated and
ipped. To remove or replace the cutting mat:

Remove the guide-rail end-stop
by sliding it upwards

Lift and remove the transparent
pressure-plate

Remove the guide rail and cutting
head.
Caution – do not touch
the blades – they are
extremely sharp!

The cutting mat can now be
removed and rotated or replaced
Note that a replacement cutting-mat strip is packed inside the guide rail.

Further cutting strips are available in packs of 3, code 40346.
When re-assembling your Sword sh 5-in-1 Creative Trimmer, please ensure that the
transparent pressure-plate is correctly located and that the rotary blades are running
on the cutting mat, not on the pressure-plate.
