1. Before you install the MCW5000-P water-block:
a. Prepare two pieces of tubing of sufficient length to connect to the rest of your circuit. The cuts must be square as shown in figure 1 or leaks may occur:

for updates.
b. Install the provided plastic tube inserts at each end of the tubes, as shown in figure 2: these ins erts are abs olutely imperative when using any kind of soft tubing, such as vynil, C learFlex, T aigon, etc...

c. Spread a little bit of grease (Vaseline etc..) around the tubing. It helps pushing the tubes in, particularly with Clearflex tubing, which features a very “stic ky” surf ac e.
Block orientation (rotating the stainless steel fr ame to change the inlet/outlet orientatio n):
The MCW 5000™ can be installed in any direction that suits your needs. Removing the 4 socket screws that attach the frame to the block will allow you to rotate the frame 90°, so that inlet and outlet f ace up and down instead of left and right. This doesn’t affect the performance of the block, nor the ability to bleed it appropr iately.
d. Fully insert both tubes into the fittings. The tip of the plastic tube inserts should be flush with the inlet and outlet openings, as shown in figure 4 above. Inserting the tubes requires a firm push, acc ompanied by a twisting motion.

Recommended coolant: distilled water+ algaecides & corrosion inhibitors are mandatory (automotive antifreeze).
2. Preparing your Motherboard a. Remove the existing heat sink b. Carefully clean the CPU. c. Lightly coat the CPU with the pr ovided thermal compound. Only a paper-thin coat is necessary. It should be applied using
preferably a razor blade, or a credit card, held between thumb and index at a 45- degree angle.
3. Installing the MCW5000-P™ water-block in Pentium 4 socket 478 stock retention frame:

Step 1
Position your block inside of the retention frame, and put both clips in place for the next steps, by simply slipping the non thumb-tabbed end of each clip in th e retention frame’s locking holes.
Removing the block: simply rever se the procedures described in st eps 2 and 3 above.
4. Connect the block to the r est of the cooling circuit.
The block is designed in such a way that it will bleed itself automatically in any vertical orientation (computer standing-up).
5. Final inspection
Once the installation is c omplet ed, it is always a good idea to test the circuit for leaks, prior to powering up the computer. Troubleshooting help is available on our web site at www.swiftnets.com
While maintaining the opposite side of the block to prevent it fr om tipping over, push down on the thumb-tab to hook the first clip to the retention frame’s locking hole.
Step 2
, or by calling customer support at 562-595-8009.
Step 3
While still maintaining pressure on the block, hook-down the second clip.
Installation is complete!
Note concerning removal of the tubing: Push in collet squarely against face of fitting. A tube removal tool is provided with the
MCW5000 block. With the collet firmly held against the face of the fitting, the tube can be safely pulled out. Do not attempt to pull the tube out without pushing squarely against the collet. This may result in damaging the fitting. Further details f or using quic k-c onnect fittings are als o available here: http://www.johnguest.com/install_6.shtm#disconnect
