LD000020 Sweex Wireless USB Adapter
Introduction
Thank you for buying the Powerline adapter. This Powerline adapter will help you to create a network simply and quickly via the mains supply. You can now change any power point into a connection point for a network. The Powerline adapter is easy to install and very user-friendly.
The adapter is compatible with Windows 98SE, 2000 and XP. It has a maximum transmission speed of 14 Mbps, which is more than sufficient for an Internet connection via the mains supply. Because of the standard plug and the USB 1.1 interface, this adapter is easy to use in combination with both desktop computers and laptops. Depending on the circumstances the adapter has a range of 200 meters via the mains supply.
For extra safety the Powerline adapter is supplied with 56 bits DES encryption. This means that data must first be encrypted before being submitted, making it virtually impossible for anyone to listen into any of the communications.
For the correct operation of your Powerline adapter we advise you to first read this manual carefully. If after reading the manual you still encounter problems with the installation or operation of your Powerline adapter, you can find more information on our website on http://www.sweex.com.
