ACTIVATION, INSTRUCTIONS
Inserting the batteries into the handset
To remove the battery compartment cover (2), press it lightly (as
shown) and slide it downwards.
Insert the 3 batteries (as shown in Fig. 1) into the battery
compartment. Make sure the polarity of the batteries is correct
(3).
Slide the battery compartment cover back over the batteries until
you hear it snap into place.
Please note: The following battery cells are approved for the
handset:
NiCd AAA: • Panasonic: P-25 AAAR • Sanyo: N-4U
NiMH AAA: • Sanyo: HR-4U • Panasonic: HHR55AAA

Charging the batteries
The battery cells are not charged when supplied. To charge the
batteries, you need to place the handset on to the charging unit.
The charging process is indicated by the flashing battery symbol
on the handset display.
Applications
Your Swatch Cordless II supports the multi-vendor DECT GAP
protocol. To be able to register it on a foreign base station, it must
support the GAP protocol. The following functions are available in
this connection when operating on a first-generation Swatch
Cordless base station:
• internal call
• outgoing calls from the handset
• answering incoming calls
• registering and de-registering the handset
• internal calls from handset to handset

The SWATCH Cordless II has been approved in accordance with
EU Recommendation 91/263/EEC Telecommunication Transmission Equipment.
This equipment complies with the requirements of the EU
Recommendations.

Your Swatch Cordless II handset is guaranteed by Swatch Telecom Ltd.* for a
period of twelve (12) months from the date of purchase under the terms and
conditions of this warranty. The International Swatch Warranty covers
material and manufacturing defects. The warranty comes into force only if
the warranty certificate has been filled out in full and correctly by an official
Swatch dealer. The manufacturer’s warranty does not cover:
– fuses, bulbs, antennas and batteries;
– network and transmission problems that are not related to the Swatch
– damage not due to defects in material or manufacturing, specifically
– possible consequential damage resulting in particular from use, non-func-

In case of defects covered by the warranty, your Swatch Telecom Ltd.*
handset will, at the sole option of Swatch Telecom Ltd.*, be repaired or
replaced free of charge. In case of replacement it cannot be guaranteed that
you will receive the same model. The warranty for the replacement handset
ends twelve (12) months after the date of purchase of the replaced handset.
Any further claims against Swatch Telecom Ltd.* and any performance under
warranty promised by the dealer are the sole responsibility of that dealer.
The warranty becomes void in the event that
• the handset is serviced or repaired by any person not authorised by
Swatch Telecom Ltd.* or its representatives
• the telephone is damaged through the use of accessories not approved by
Swatch Telecom Ltd.*.
• the equipment designation (serial number) is damaged or removed
Should you require work under warranty, please contact your official Swatch
dealer or one of our authorised Swatch service centres. The handset must be
submitted along with the fully and correctly completed warranty certificate.
If sending the product to the service centre by post, please enclose the
postage due for returning the product to you.

Akkuzellen in das Mobilteil einlegen
Entfernen Sie den Akkufach-Deckel (2), indem Sie diesen durch
leichtes Andrücken (siehe Bild) nach unten schieben.
Legen Sie die 3 Akkuzellen (gemäß Abbildung 1) in das Akkufach.
Achten Sie auf die richtige Polarität der Akkuzellen (3).
Schieben Sie nun den Akkufach-Deckel über die Akkuzellen bis er
einrastet.

Laden der Akkuzellen
Im Auslieferzustand sind die Akkuzellen nicht geladen. Stellen Sie
das Mobilteil in die Ladeschale um die Akkuzellen aufzuladen. Der
Ladevorgang wird durch das blinkende Batteriesymbol im Display
des Mobilteils angezeigt.
Einsatzmöglichkeiten
Ihr Swatch Cordless II unterstützt das herstellerübergreifende
DECT GAP Protokoll. Damit Sie es an einer fremden Basisstation
anmelden können, muß diese das GAP Protokoll unterstützen.
In diesem Zusammenhang sind beim Betrieb an der Swatch
Cordless Basisstation der ersten Generation folgende Funktionen
möglich:
• Intern Gespräch
• Abgehende Gespräche vom Mobilteil
• Entgegennahme ankommender Gespräche
• An- und Abmelden des Mobilteils
• Interne Gespräche von Mobilteil zu Mobilteil

Garantie
Auf das Mobilteil Ihres Swatch Cordless II wird von der Swatch Telecom AG*
eine zwölfmonatige Garantie ab Kaufdatum gemäß diesen Garantiebestimmungen gewährt. Die internationale Garantie umfasst Material- und Fabrikationsfehler. Die Garantie tritt nur in Kraft, wenn der Garantieschein durch einen
offiziellen Swatch Telecom Händler vollständig und korrekt ausgefüllt worden ist.
Von dieser Herstellergarantie ausgeschlossen sind:
– Sicherungen, Glühbirnen, Antennen, Akkus;
– Netz- und Übermittlungsprobleme, die nicht dem Produkt zuzuordnen sind;
– Schäden, die nicht auf Material- oder Fabrikationsfehler zurückzuführen sind,
insbesondere Schäden verursacht durch Wasser, Feuchtigkeit oder Erschütterung;
– allfällige Folgeschäden verursacht insbesondere durch die Verwendung, das
Nichtfunktionieren oder Mängel des Produkts.
Im Garantiefall werden nach Wahl der Swatch Telecom AG* Material- und
Fabrikationsfehler unentgeltlich beseitigt oder Ihr Mobilteil ausgetauscht. Im
Falle eines Umtausches kann keine Gewähr dafür übernommen werden, daß
Sie das gleiche Modell erhalten. Die Garantie des Ersatzproduktes endet 12
Monate ab Kaufdatum des ersetzten Produktes. Weitergehende Ansprüche
gegenüber der Swatch Telecom AG* wie jede andere Garantieleistung, die der
Händler verspricht, ist dieser allein verantwortlich.
Die Garantie erlischt bei:
• Eingriffen von Dritten, die von der Swatch Telecom AG* oder deren
Vetriebsorganisation dazu nicht ermächtigt wurden.
• Beschädigungen, hervorgerufen durch die Verwendung von nicht
autorisiertem Zubehör.
• Entfernen oder Beschädigen der Gerätekennzeichnung (Seriennummer).
Wenden Sie sich im Garantiefall bitte an Ihren offiziellen Swatch Telecom AG*
Händler oder eines der in der Liste aufgeführten offiziellen Swatch Telecom
Service-Center. Das Produkt muß zusammmen mit dem vollständig und korrekt ausgefüllten Garantieschein vorgelegt werden. Bei Einsendung an den
Service-Center ist zusätzlich das Rückporto beizulegen.

Mise en place des accumulateurs dans le combiné
Otez le couvercle du compartiment à accumulateurs (2) en exerçant
une légère pression (voir photo) et en le faisant glisser vers le bas.
Insérez les 3 accumulateurs (conformément au dessin 1) dans le
compartiment à accumulateurs. Veillez à respecter la polarité des
accumulateurs (3).
Ensuite, faites glisser le couvercle du compartiment au-dessus des
accumulateurs jusqu’à ce qu’il s’emboîte.

Charge des accumulateurs
Les accumulateurs ne sont pas chargés à la livraison. Placez le
combiné portable dans le support de charge afin de charger les
accumulateurs. La procédure de charge est signalée par le symbole
de batterie clignotant sur l’écran du combiné.
Possibilités d’utilisation
Votre Swatch Cordless II est conforme au protocole DECT GAP
défini par les fabricants. Afin de pouvoir signaler votre appareil à
une station de base étrangère, cette dernière doit être conforme au
protocole GAP. Dans ce contexte, en cas de fonctionnement avec
une station de base Swatch Cordless de la première génération, les
fonctions suivantes sont disponibles:
• Communication interne
• Communications à partir du combiné portable
• Réception des appels entrants
• Déclarer ou retirer le combiné portable sur une base
• Appels internes de combiné à combiné portable

les défauts de fabrication que les défauts du matériel. La garantie est uniquement valable lorsque le certificat de garantie a été entièrement et correctement
complété par un revendeur Swatch Telecom SA* officiel. Sont exclus de la garantie du fabricant:

– Les problèmes de réseau et de transmission étrangers au produit;

fabrication, ou de procéder au remplacement du combiné portable. En cas
de remplacement, l’échange avec un produit en tous points identique ne
peut être assuré. La garantie du produit de remplacement expire 12 mois
après la date d’achat du produit remplacé. Toute autre revendication envers
Swatch Telecom SA* ainsi que toute autre prestation de garantie promise
par le vendeur est de la seule responsabilité de ce dernier. La garantie n’est
pas applicable:
• En cas d’intervention de tiers qui ne sont pas dûment mandatés par

Il Vostro Swatch Cordless II supporta il protocollo DECT GAP
adottato da diversi fornitori. Per poterVi registrare ad una stazione
base di terzi, questa deve supportare il protocollo GAP. In questo
senso, la stazione base Swatch Cordless della prima generazione
supporta le seguenti funzioni:

Il portatile del Vostro Swatch Cordless II è garantito dalla Swatch Telecom S.p.A.*
per un periodo di dodici mesi a partire dalla data di acquisto e alle condizioni
sotto indicate. La garanzia internazionale copre tutti i difetti di materiali e di
fabbricazione. Essa è valida soltanto a condizione che il Certificato di Garanzia
sia debitamente compilato in ogni sua parte da parte di un rivenditore Swatch
Telecom S.p.A.* ufficiale. Dalla garanzia sono esclusi:
– Fusibili, lampadine, antenne ed accumulatori;
– Problemi inerenti alla rete telefonica, alla trasmissione e alla ricezione non

Nel caso di difetti coperti dalla garanzia, i difetti di materiali o di fabbricazione
verranno riparati a titolo gratuito oppure il Vostro portatile sarà sostituito; la
decisione se ripararlo o sostituirlo sarà a discrezione della Swatch Telecom S.p.A.*.
In caso di sostituzione non è garantita la restituzione dello stesso modello. La
garanzia relativa al prodotto sostituito scade 12 mesi dopo la data di acquisto
del prodotto sostituito. Il rivenditore è l’unico responsabile per ulteriori pretese
nei confronti della Swatch Telecom S.p.A.* ed altre prestazioni di garanzia
promesse dallo stesso. La garanzia si estingue nei seguenti casi:
• Interventi da parte di terzi non autorizzati dalla Swatch Telecom S.p.A.* o
dalla sua organizzazione di vendita.
• Danni causati dall’utilizzo di parti o accessori non autorizzati.
• Rimozione o danneggiamento del contrassegno dell’apparecchio
(numero di serie).
Qualora siano richiesti interventi coperti dalla garanzia, Vi preghiamo di
rivolgerVi al Vostro rivenditore ufficiale Swatch Telecom S.p.A.* oppure ad uno
dei Centri di Assistenza Swatch Telecom S.p.A.* riportati nella lista. Il prodotto
deve essere presentato munito di certificato di garanzia debitamente compilato.
In caso di spedizione al centro di Assistenza dovranno essere aggiunte le spese
postali per la rispedizione.

confronti del rivenditore, né qualsivoglia altro diritto riconosciuto per legge

Oplaadbare batterijen in de handset aanbrengen
Verwijder het deksel (2) van het batterijcompartiment door het
door licht aandrukken (zie afbeelding) naar beneden te schuiven.
Leg de 3 oplaadbare batterijen (zoals weergegeven in afbeelding
1) in het batterijcompartiment. Let daarbij op de juiste polariteit
van de oplaadbare batterijen (3).
Schuif nu het deksel van het batterijcompartiment over de
oplaadbare batterijen heen tot het vastklikt.
Opmerking: De volgende oplaadbare batterijen zijn voor de
handset toegelaten:
NiCd AAA: • Panasonic: P-25 AAAR • Sanyo: N-4U
NiMH AAA: • Sanyo: HR-4U • Panasonic: HHR55AAA
• Varta: VH 551 AAA • Maxell: Ace HR-AAA
Het opladen van de batterijen
Bij levering zijn de oplaadbare batterijen niet opgeladen. Zet de
handset in de lader om de oplaadbare batterijen op te laden.
Tijdens het opladen knippert het batterijsymbool op het display
van de handset.
Gebruiksmogelijkheden
Uw Swatch Cordless II ondersteunt het fabrikaatonafhankelijke
DECT GAP protocol. Om het aan een basisstation van een ander
fabrikaat aan te kunnen melden, moet dit het GAP protocol
ondersteunen. In verband hiermee zijn bij gebruik aan het Swatch
Cordless basisstation van de eerste generatie de volgende functies
mogelijk:
• intern gesprek
• externe gesprekken m.b.v. de handset
• aannemen van aankomende gesprekken
• aan- en afmelden van de handset
• interne gesprekken van handset naar handset

De Swatch Cordless II is goedgekeurd overeenkomstig de EUrichtlijn 91/263/EWG "Eindapparatuur-richtlijn".

Garantie
Swatch Telecom B.V.* verleent u op de handset van uw Swatch Cordless II
een garantie van twaalf maanden vanaf de datum van aankoop en
overeenkomstig de voorwaarden die in deze garantie zijn vastgelegd. De
internationale garantie dekt materiaal- en fabricagefouten. Deze garantie
geldt uitsluitend indien het garantiebewijs volledig en juist is ingevuld door
een officiële Swatch Telecom B.V.*-dealer. Deze fabrieksgarantie omvat niet:
– zekeringen, lampjes, antennen, oplaadbare batterijen;
– net- en transmissieproblemen die niet door het product worden veroorzaakt;
– schade die niet het gevolg is van materiaal- of fabricagefouten, in het bij-
zonder schade veroorzaakt door water, vocht, trillingen of schokken;
– eventuele gevolgschade veroorzaakt in het bijzonder door het gebruik, door
het niet-functioneren of door gebreken van het product.
Bij gebreken die onder de garantie vallen, worden naar keuze van Swatch
Telecom B.V.* materiaal- en fabricagefouten kosteloos verholpen of wordt
uw handset vervangen. Bij vervanging kunnen wij u niet garanderen dat u
een identiek model terugkrijgt. De garantie van het product dat ter
vervanging is
het vervangen product. Alle andere claims gericht tegen Swatch Telecom
B.V.* zijn uitgesloten. Alle overige garanties die door de dealer worden
beloofd, vallen uitsluitend onder verantwoordelijkheid van deze dealer. De
garantie vervalt:
• bij ingrepen door derden die hiertoe niet door Swatch Telecom B.V.* of
haar verkooporganisatie zijn gemachtigd;
• bij beschadigingen veroorzaakt door het gebruiken van niet toegelaten
accessoires;
• als het apparatuurlabel (serienummer) is verwijderd of beschadigd.
Mochten zich gebreken voordoen die onder de garantie vallen, neem dan
contact op met uw officiële Swatch Telecom B.V.*-dealer of met een van de
op de lijst vermelde officiële service-centers van Swatch Telecom B.V.*. Het
product moet samen met het volledig en correct ingevulde garantiebewijs
worden voorgelegd. Als het naar een service-center wordt opgestuurd, moet
bovendien porto voor antwoord worden bijgesloten.
