Note: Wireless Networks (WiFi) may interfere with and/or experience
interference caused by the transmitter
in this unit. Changing the receiver to another channel/frequency or setting
the Wireless Network (i.e. Wireless
Access Point) to a frequency further away from the camera’s set frequency
Can alleviate this problem.
Consult the documentation of your Wireless LAN device for information
on how to change the transmission frequency. These cameras work
with most wireless camera receivers that support 2414MHz,
2432MHz, 2450MHz and 2468MHz.

WHAT IS IN THIS PACKAGE?
GETTING TO KNOW YOUR CAMERA
Thank you for purchasing a Swann SpyCam. This SpyCam uses the very latest technology to
deliver full colour, full resolution video, and the extremely small size and simple installation
make it ideal for use in home security or surveillance.
Inside the box you will find:
• 1 x SpyCam
• 1 x 9V DC Power Transformer
• 1 x 9v Battery adapter
(If any of these components are missing please contact your retailer)
The Swann SpyCam is very simple in design, the main components being:

HOW IT ALL WORKS
The Swann SpyCam has two cables which must be connected in order to operate:
The camera must be powered by one of the
following methods:
for mains power
(battery life of approx.12 hours with a quality alkaline battery).
9V DC Power Transformer
OR
Battery Adapter Cable connected to a 9v Alkaline Battery
The video cable must be connected to the “VIDEO IN” plug of a
Video Display device like a Television, VCR, or Swann’s
EzyCapture Card.
If you want to view the footage live, just connect
directly to a televisions A/V input.
To record your footage, connect the camera to
a VCR. With a television connected to the
VCR, the recorded footage can then be
played back.

Select a location to position your SpyCam where it has an unobstructed view and is not easily
detected for example:
• above a cash register
• overlooking a stock room or reception area
• entry point of a building
Ensure there is clear access for cables (power and video) for your Camera.
Step 1.
CAMERA INSTALLATION
Fix your camera to the selected surface by:
• using the attached double-sided adhesive on the back of the camera,
making sure that the lens area is kept clear (as shown in the diagram below)
• Use Blu-Tack for quick and easy installation onto a surface eg. shelf

Connect the Power Cable to the selected power source, mains power with the use of the DC
Power Transformer or battery power with the use of the battery adapter cable and a 9v alkaline
battery.
