Using your Panini Press
Unpack the unit and place it on a flat horizontal countertop and wipe the outer surface and non-stick plate with a damp, soft cloth.
IMPORTANT: Please ensure that the product is only used on worktops that are able to withstand temperatures of 60 degrees centigrade.
Connect the appliance to the rated supply for preheating.
It is recommended to coat the non-stick plates with a layer of vegetable oil when preheating. This helps to protect the non-stick surface. A slight odor may be noticed during initial preheating; this is normal and will disappear after one or two uses.
1.
Before use check the cooking plate is clean and free from dust and food particles. Wipe with a damp cloth if necessary.
2.
Connect the appliance to the rated supply and preheat it with the Lid closed. The red (POWER ON) lamp will be illuminated.
3.
Once the green lamp illuminates it means the cooking plates have reached the preset temperature. Usually it will take approximately 4 minutes for the cooking temperature to be reached. Now you can put grilling and fillings into the cooking plate.
4.
Make sure the drip tray is in position and carefully open the lid and put the Panini or item to be grilled on the bottom cooking plate. It is recommended to use oven mitts to reduce the risk of burning from touching the hot surface.
5.
Carefully close the Lid.
6.
Steam may be released between the cooking plates. Caution should be taken to prevent hands from coming in contact with the steam.
7.
The grilling time should be approximately 12 minutes. Exact grill time vary according to your personnel taste and the fillings.
8.
Once the cooking process has finished carefully open the lid using oven mitts. Then remove grilled item with a plastic or wooden spatula. Never use metal utensils as this would do damage to the non-stick coating.
9.
Close the Lid to preserve the heat until ready for the next grilling.
10.
Disconnect the power supply and allow to cool before cleaning. When the unit completely cool down emptied the drip tray and drip reservoir.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Disconnect from AC outlet and allow the appliance to cool completely. Use a soft cloth moistened with a mild detergent solution to clean the cooking plates and outside of the product. Do not use chemical or abrasive cleaners. Do not use metal implements to clean any part of the product.
