used only when the Mixer is not running.
• Unplug before inserting or removing parts.
• Remove whisk, flat paddle beater and dough hook from the
mixer before washing.
• Do not use appliance for other than intended use.

POLARIZED PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To
reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one
way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does

BEFORE FIRST USE
GETTING TO KNOW YOUR MIXER
1. Unpack and remove all parts and packaging materials from the carton.
2. DO NOT plug the power cord into the wall outlet before reading these in-

structions and ensuring that the Speed Control Dial is in the ‘Off’ position.
3. Wash the Bowl, Whisk, Mixing Paddle and Dough Hook in warm, soapy
water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
4. Wipe the Motor housing with a clean, damp cloth. Never use harsh detergents or abrasive cleansers on any part of the appliance. DO NOT immerse
the Motor Housing, power cord or plug in water or any other liquid.

HOW TO USE
• Press head release button,ease the mixer head backwards until it locks
into its tilt position.(Fig. 1)
• Select the desired attachment depending on the mixing task to be performed:
A. Whisk for whisking cream, egg whites, light batters.
B. Mixing paddle for smaller amount of mixture or for folding ingredients.
C. Dough hook for kneading dough and heavy mixtures.
• Attach the selected attachment onto the drive outlet using the bayonet
attachment. Place the attachment into position with the feeder roll at
the back. Simply push the roller back down to lock into position.(Fig. 2)
• Put your ingredients into the mixing bowl. Place the bowl on the base
then gently rotate the bowl in a clockwise direction until it locks into position. The bowl should feel firm with no movement.(Fig. 3)
• Do not overfill the appliance, the max amount for ingredients is 2 Kg.
• Press the release button to lower the arm. Press the arm down to lock
in the lowest position.(Fig. 4)
• Plug the mixer into the wall outlet.
• Turn the speed control knob clockwise to commence mixing. (Fig. 5]
• When mixing is complete, turn the speed control knob counter-clockwise
to OFF position .(Fig. 6)
• To protect the powerful motor, the maximum mixing time for this
product is 5 minutes. It is unlikely that any type of food would require
any more mixing time than that. In the unlikely event that your ingredients need more than 5 minutes mixing, switch off the machine and
allow the motor to cool for 3 minutes before starting again.

CLEANING
• Disconnect from power supply before cleaning.
• Do not immerse the appliance in water. This may lead to electric shock

• Do not use a wire brush or other abrasive utensils for cleaning.
• Do not use abrasive cleaning agents.
• Motor housing: Clean the housing only with a soft cloth moistened with a
mild detergent solution
• Mixing bowl, kneading and mixing attachments are suitable for dishwasher.
• Leave the parts to dry properly before re-assembling the appliance.

POWER CORD
A short supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards of becoming entangled in or
tripping over a long cord. Extension cords may be used if care is exercised in their
use. If an extension cord is used, the marked electrical rating of the detachable
power-supply cord or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical
rating of the appliance. If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord
should be a grounded 3-wire cord. The extension cord should be arranged so that
it will not drape over the counter top or table top, where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.

LIMITED WARRANTY
**The original sales receipt is the only acceptable proof of purchase**
Salton Canada warrants that this appliance shall be free from defects in
material and workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the date of
original purchase. Salton Canada, at its sole discretion during this warranty
period, will repair or replace a defective product or issue a refund. Any refund
to the purchaser will
be at a pro-rated value based on the remaining period of the warranty. All
liability is limited to the amount of the purchase price. This warranty covers
normal domestic usage and does not cover damage which occurs in shipment
or failure which results from alteration, accident, misuse, abuse, glass
breakage, neglect, improper maintenance, use contrary to the operating
instructions or commercial use. This warranty is not available to retailers or
other commercial purchasers or owners.
