z Washable HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Arrestor) Filter to remove airborne particles such as
dust and other allergens.
z Activated Carbon Filter to adsorb chemicals, cigarette smoke and odors.
z Washable Pre-Filter to remove larger particles.
z Photocatalytic Filter (TiO2) to remove airborne chemicals and bacteria.
z Germicidal UV (Ultraviolet) Lamp to destroy micro-organisms.
z Negative Ion Generator to circulate air-cleaning negative ions throughout the room.
z Air Pollution Sensors to determine level of air pollution in area.
z Intelligent Auto Function to conserve power consumption while maximizing air-cleaning efficiency.
z LCD Display with attractive graphics.
z Air Purifier Timer.
z Four Efficiency Settings: High, Medium, Low, Auto.
Instructions
1. Plug in and turn on air purifier.
2. Push Power button on panel to turn ON or OFF.
3. Push Mode button on panel to switch fan speed between Auto, High, Medium and Low.
When in Auto mode, the fan speed will increase or decrease according to the pollution level, as
measured by the built-in pollution sensors. The higher the pollution level, the higher the fan speed,
and visa-versa. The more “gray” bars on the Air Pollution scale in the LCD display, the greater the
air pollution level in the area.
4. Push Timer button to initiate the timer. Set the time to “0” to run the machine continuously.
5. Push Ion button to turn the UV+Ion+TiO2 functions ON or OFF. This is ON by default. When
ON, the Ion and UV graphics will be animated.

Changing Filters/UV Lamp
Washable HEPA Filter: (First in line). Check the HEPA filter periodically. If it is dark gray in color, then
clean it with a brush or vacuum hose until it is light gray or white. You can also clean the black pre-filter
attached to the side of the HEPA, facing outward. For optimal performance, change the HEPA filter every
two years.
Activated Carbon Filter: This is next in line after the HEPA. It needs to be replaced every 6 to 12 months.
TiO2/Photocatalytic Filter: This is next in line after the activated carbon filter. It needs to be replaced
about every 12 months.
UV Lamp: This is located behind the TiO2/photocatalytic filter, and should be replaced every 12 months.

end outward, then lift upward.

Air Purifier Will Not Turn On
Remove the front cover, then reinstall. Make sure it is pushed firmly into place (top and lower ends), to
ensure it engages the switch inside.
LCD Screen is Frozen
Remove the front cover, then reinstall.
Caution!
Make sure that air filter cartridge is in place before operating the S5000 air purifier, or direct UV rays
may escape through the front cover of the unit. Direct UV light can cause skin or eye damage.
Placement
* Since the S5000 air purifier uses a fan, and blows a strong current of air out the top of the unit, it is
not necessary to place the unit at a high elevation. It can be placed on the floor, on a table, a
countertop, or on a shelf.
* The back of the S5000 should be at least 8 inches away from the wall to prevent discoloration of the
the wall. Also, there should not be any obstructions above the air outlet on top of the S5000 air
purifier. There should be at least 2 feet of space between the top of the air purifier and any object or
surface above it.
* Keep the S5000 at least 3 feet away from computers, televisions, and sensitive electrical equipment,
and two feet from occupants in the room while in operation.
