There is no better pedal for transparently
driving a tube amp than the Supro Boost. This
J-FET based pedal design delivers up to 20db
noiseless gain boost plus optional High Pass
or Low Pass filtering to contour your sound.
Simple, straight-forward and effective, the
Supro Boost pedal remains clean and sweet
at all settings, no matter how hard you push
it with other pedals earlier in the chain. The
Supro boost also remains frequency linear
as the gain is adjusted, allowing you to set
the desired level of boost without sacrificing
overall tone or adjusting your amp’s EQ
settings to compensate.
The VOLUME control sets the output level of
the pedal.
The three-way toggle switch selects between
passive filters. The BRIGHT mode enables a
6 dB / octave high pass filter. This setting
is useful for thinning out humbucker guitars
when adding boost to increase sparkle and
prevent mud. The DARK mode enables a 6
dB / octave low pass filter. This setting is
useful for fattening up a single coil guitar when
adding boost to increase warmth and prevent

harshness. When the toggle switch is put to
the middle position, the filters are broken out
of the circuit and completely bypassed for a
flat frequency response.
The EXPRESSION jack accepts a 1/4” TRS
cable from a standard expression pedal. The
expression pedal controls the output volume of
the pedal. With the expression pedal feature,
the Supro Boost can act as an active volume
pedal. The heel-down minimum volume can
be set with an internal trimmer. The VOLUME
control sets the maximum volume. Be sure to
have the expression pedal plugged in when
setting the minimum volume.
Your Supro Boost pedal comes equipped
with a 9V battery that is accessible from the
side-mounted battery drawer. A 1/4” TS
cable must be connected to the input jack
for the pedal to power up.
The Supro Boost can be powered with 9 18V with a center-negative DC power supply
adapter. Running this pedal at 18V will give
more headroom, more punch, and more output
than if run at 9V.
