IN
Instrument input.
GAIN
Input GAIN. Controls the saturation of the preamp stage.
TREBLE
Controls the amount of treble in your signal.
BASS
Controls the amount of bass in your signal.
REVERB
Controls the amount of reverb in the signal.
BYPASS
Footswitch jack to allow remote reverb kill. Use a standard, latching 1/4 TS footswitch.
MASTER
Master volume. Controls volume to speaker.
STANDBY SWITCH
This turns on the high voltage to the tubes. The tubes should warm up for at least one minute before turning standby switch to OPERATE. Be sure that the Volume control is set to a reasonable position before switching the amplifier to OPERATE as this amplifier can be very loud! For short breaks (5 minutes or less), using the standby switch will increase tube life.
PILOT LIGHT
This shows that AC Mains voltage is flowing to the amplifier.
POWER SWITCH
Turns on AC power to the amplifier. The Power switch should be turned on, and the pilot light should be lit for 1 minute before turning the standby switch to OPERATE.

Speaker Out
The 1605R Reverb provides one 8 Ohm, and two 4 Ohm speaker outputs.
Use the 8 output for the internal speaker, OR, a single 8 external cabinet, without the internal speaker.
To use the internal speaker AND an extension cabinet, plug the internal speaker in to one of the 4 jacks, and extension into the other 4 jack.
Always be sure a speaker is plugged into at least one of the outputs! Never turn the
amplifier on without a speaker plugged in!
Dry Out
Dry signal output. This output provides the dry signal only, which may be routed to a separate amplifier or a console. Plugging into this jack, removes the Dry signal from the signal sent to the power amp, AND the Mix Out.
Reverb Out
Wet signal output only. Provides a Reverb only signal, which may be sent to an additional amplifier or console. Plugging into this jack, removes the reverb signal from the signal sent to the power amp, AND the Mix Out.
Mix Out
Provides Dry and Reverb signals together, the level of which is controlled by the ”Mix Out Level”. Plugging into this jack will not interrupt the signal going to the power amplifier.
Mix Out Level
Controls the level of the Mix Out signal.
Power Amp Input
Accepts a line level signal to be sent the 1605Rs power section. The volume of this signal will be controlled by the Master volume.

IEC POWER CORD RECEPTACLE / Fuse holder
The power cord connects here and to your country’s appropriate wall outlet. Make sure to connect the male end of the IEC POWER CORD into a Grounded Power Outlet. This IEC connector contains the AC Mains fuse. This is a 5x20mm, 2.5A, 250V Fuse.
2.3 Setting Tones
The Supro 1605R Reverb amplifier is a 5-Watt, 1x8 combo amp with tube-driven spring reverb. This ultra-compact and gig-ready amplifier provides independent gain and master volume controls, along with a 2-band EQ and three tube-driven line-outputs optimized for feeding another guitar amplifier or recording console. The trio of line outputs is driven by the preamp tubes - before the master volume
- allowing the player to tame the on-board speaker down from gig volume to be used as a bedroom rig, as well as an all-tube outboard gain/reverb effect unit and direct recording preamp.
Plugging into the first input, labeled ”HI”, provides maximum input gain. The ”LO” input provides slightly less input stage gain, and therefore a bit more headroom.
The WET output provides 100% wet reverb signal; the DRY output provides 100% dry signal from the preamp; and the MIX output carries a blend of dry and reverb signals that can be attenuated by a variable level control on the MIX output. When the WET output is used, the reverb signal is removed from the on-board speaker output, allowing the player to pass the reverb sound along to another amplifier while still hearing the gain from the 1605R’s tube preamp in the on-board 8” speaker. When the DRY output is used, the unaffected sound of the guitar is removed from the on-board speaker output, allowing the player to pass the gained up dry sound along to another amplifier while still hearing the reverb effect in the on-board 8” speaker.
Supro amplifiers are some of the most dynamically sensitive guitar amplifier ever designed. The player is able to access a myriad of sounds within this amplifier by turning the volume(s) up to the point of glorious overdrive and simply controlling the strength of the signal right from the volume knob on the guitar.

2.6 Troubleshooting
Supro products have been designed for years of trouble free service. There are many unique protection features to the design. If you are having difficulty, check the following:
No sound, but PILOT LIGHT is ON
Check to see that the speaker is plugged into the SPEAKER JACK. Make sure all knobs are turned up past zero and that the standby switch is set to operate. As this is a tube amplifier, the tubes take approximately 1 minute to warm up before you will get sound. The STANDBY switch should be set to standby for this warm up period.
No sound and the Lights are All OFF
Unplug the power cord and check the 2.5A, 250V fuse (rear panel).
