Turn your pager off, hold the pager face down, slide the battery door lock
away from the door and open the battery compartment by pressing down
with your thumb on the battery door and sliding the battery door in the
direction indicated by the arrow on the battery door.
Lift up the battery door to access the battery.
Remove the old battery by pulling it towards the end of pager.
Insert a new AA type battery so the orientation matches the polarity
shown in the battery compartment.
If a new battery is inserted within the 30 seconds of removing
the old battery, messages will be retained.
Installing/Replacing the battery

The backlight allows viewing of messages in low light conditions.
To turn the backlight On, press and hold for 2 seconds
The Backlit will automatically turn off after 10 seconds of no buttons being pressed
To immediately turn the backlit Off, press and hold for 2 seconds
If the buttons pressed in the dark the backlight is automatically turned on

Press the Read button for two (2) seconds to turn the
pager on. A start-up screen is momentarily displayed and
the pager alerts the currently selected alert-mode
(Vibe, Audio, Silent).

"TURN PAGER OFF?" is displayed
Press the button again to turn the pager off
Note: If you choose the function key ( ) while the pager
is off, the pager will display Pager Off Mode and the
time and date. The display disappears in a few seconds
or after you press any of the pager keys.
The pager is now off and the screen should be blank.

Main Screen
Main Screen
Press or to move the cursor between Main Screen Folders
Press to enter the selected Folder
Pressing any of the buttons on the Standby Screen will provide access
to the Main Screen.
The Main Screen shows both the current status of message folders
(Inbox/Info/Saved) and the time and date.
The Main Screen also displays any activated pager settings on the left
hand side.
The numbers to the right of the inbox and info icons indicate the
number of unread messages.
When the Main Screen is initially displayed, the Inbox Folder icon is
the first icon followed by the Info and Saved icons.
The Inbox Folder is also highlighted. Choosing either arrow button
will highlight the other icons.

Inbox Folder
Inbox Folder Screen
The Inbox Folder Screen shows information about your
Inbox messages.
- Status: Unread, read or locked
- Timestamp: Month/Day
- Preview: First and second line of message
Note: The status of an unread message will not change by previewing
the message. You must select the Read button ( ) to open
and view the message. Only after the message has been opened
will it be marked as "read" on your pager.

To set an alarm, perform the following steps.

Setting Private Time
Private Time allows you to specify a time period during which the
device receives message without our an audible or vibe alert.
To Set Private Time, perform the following steps.
From the Function Menu:

Note: While Private Time is active, the Reminder alert and Low Battery alert

In addition, you may select from 7 Pleasing Alerts.
The #7 Pleasing Alert is the Continuous Alert, which alerts
until the message is read. To change the Message Alert,
perform the following steps.

Press to display the Set Alert screen
Press to move the cursor to the alert you want to set
Press to activate the alert setting and exit to the Main Screen

Vibe
Silent
If the Personal alert type is silent all Info service page alerting
is silent regardless of current setting.

Setting Audible ON/OFF
If the device alerting is audible it can be quickly toggled to vibe.
From the Function menu:
Press to move the cursor to display "SET AUDIBLE ON/OFF"
Press to toggle the Audible Setting
or
If the Audible On function is set ( ), the pager will alert.
If the Audible Off function is set ( ), the pager will be on vibe mode. Audible Mode applies to
all alerts, including reminder alert, alarm, etc.
Although the pager is audible off, alarm is audible only.
Note: If the Inbox alert has been set for Silent or Vibe, setting the Audible ON/OFF Function
will not change alerting behavior.

Setting Display Zoom
Zoom Setting Screen
When this feature is enabled, the standard 6-line Display can be
changed to a 3-line Display.
The characters are enlarged to increase message readability.
To Set the Display Zoom, perform the following steps.
From the Function Menu:
Press to move the cursor to display "ZOOM"
Press to display the Zoom screen
Press to select the Zoom mode desired
Press to activate the Zoom and exit to the Main Screen

Enabling Reminder Alert
When this feature is enabled and there are unread Inbox messages, the pager will alert the user with
the current selected Inbox alert. The pager does not emit reminder alerts for Info Messages, or
messages with no alert setting. To change the Reminder Alert Setting, perform the following steps.
From the Function menu:
Press to move the cursor to display "ENABLE/DISABLE REMINDER"
Press to toggle the current setting and exit to the Main Screen

Low Battery Alert
When the Battery capacity falls below the operational level,
a Low Battery indication message will be displayed and an alert chirp
will sound every hour.

Locking and Unlocking Messages
Up to 10 messages can be locked to prevent them from being deleted or from being replaced when
the memory is full. To Lock or Unlock a message, perform the following steps.
From the Inbox Folder Status Screen:
To lock or unlock a message while reading it, follow the last two steps above while the message is
displayed.
Note: Info and Saved Messages cannot be locked.
