The fi rst time you turn on the heater it may not start . If this happens the ambient temperature in the room my be higher then the default temperature setting in the heater thermostat. PRESS the Temp then the + button until the temperature reading on the front panel is set to above the ambient room temperature, the heater will come on.
The thermostat is designed to maintain the room temperature within 3 degrees. This means the heater will turn off when the temperature you set the thermostat for is reached and will turn on when the temperature drops 2-3 degrees.
The temperature displayed on the heater thermostat will vary from the temperature displayed on the main house furnace. This is due to the difference in the temperature of the air at the main house and Suntec heater thermostats. The air around the Suntec thermostat will be of a higher temperature in most cases than the air around the main house thermostat. This is because the main system is off and the Suntec is warming and re-circulating the air. There could be a difference of as much as 10 degrees. This is normal and refl ects the accuracy and the effi ciency of Suntec.
