Product Description
The curtain motor controller is a universa l, Z-Wave Plus compatible, elec tric moto r control ler. The device
allows for controlling motors of roller bl inds and ve netian bl inds, which are single phase AC powere d. The
curtain motor controller allows for prec ise posit ioning of a r oller blind or venetian blind slats. Precise
positioning is available for the motors eq uipped wi th mechan ic and electronic end switches. Th e device
also allows for controlling on/off of lig hts. The module may be cont rolled wi relessl y, through the Z-Wave
network primary controller, or through th e switch ke ys connec ted to it. In a ddition, the curtain motor
controller is equipped with Power Meteri ng and over c urrent pr otection.
The curtain motor controller can be includ ed and oper ated in any Z -Wave netwo rk with oth er Z-Wave
certified devices from other manufacturers and/ or other ap plicati ons. All non-battery operated nodes
within the network will act as repeaters reg ardless o f vendor to i ncrease r eliability of the network.

Factory Reset
Press and hold down network inclusion/ex clusion b utton for o ver 10 seconds, the curtain motor controller
will be reset to factory defaults.
Configure Parameter 3 to Set Wor king Mode
1. When parameter 3 value is configured as 0, li ght mode: e ither S1 or S 2 can contr ol both Q1 and Q2,
short pressing or holding down will be recog nized aut omatica lly. For detailed config uration p lease ref er to
configuration parameter 7.
Note: when configured as light mode, endpo int 1 refle cts to rela y 1 (Q1), end point 2 reflects to relay 2

3. When parameter 3 value is configured as 2, sh utter mod e with posi tioning : S1 and S2 are only valid
while held down. Hold down S1, relay 1 (Q1) ON, re lay 2 (Q2) OF F. Hold down S2 , relay 2 (Q2 ) ON, relay 1
(Q1) OFF. When reaching any end’s po sitioni ng, both relays will be OFF.
4. When parameter 3 value is configured as 3, ve netian mo de (up/do wn and slats rotation): Hold down S1,
relay 1 (Q1) ON, relay 2 (Q2) OFF. Hold down S2, relay 2 (Q2) ON, relay 1 (Q1) OFF. Wh en reachi ng any
end’s positioning , both rela ys will be OF F. This mode supports shutt er dim comm and, whic h means it
supports the secondary switch of command class SWIT CH_MULTILEVEL_START_LEVEL_CHANGE.
Positioning Calibration
Calibration is a process during which a curt ain motor c ontroll er learns the position of the limit switches
and a motor characteristic. Calibratio n is mandat ory when th e working mode of the curtain motor
controller is Shutter mode with position ing and ven etian mod e (up/down and slat rotation).Connect the
controller to the motor according to wirin g diagram , there are t wo calibr ation methods as follows:
3

1. Calibration through the calibration b utton, sh ort press t he button t wice, calibration starts automatically.
2. Set th e configuration parameter 6 value to 1, calibr ation sta rts autom atically.
Secene Control
Users can configure scenes using command c lass SCEN E_ACTUATOR _CONF_S ET, and activ ate the

Association
Z-Wave de vices con trol othe r Z-Wave devi ces. The relationship between on e device co ntrolli ng another
device is called association. In order to co ntrol a different device, the controlling device nee ds to maint ain
a list of devices that will receive controll ing comma nds. These lists are called associ ation gro ups and the y
are always related to certain events (e.g. button pre ssed). In c ase the eve nt happens all devices stored in
the respective association group will re ceive a com mon wirel ess command.

Set and unset associations:
(Note: All association information will b e cleared a utomati cally once the curtain motor controller is
excluded from a network.)
Set association by operating primary con troller /gatewa y to send packets to the curtain motor controller:
The primary controller/gateway sends p ackets to t he curtai n motor con troller using
"COMMAND_CLASS_ASSOCIATION" or "CO MMAND_C LASS_MULTI_CHANNEL _ASSOCI ATION".
Node Information Frame
The Node Information Frame is the business card of a Z-Wave device. It contains informat ion about t he
device type and the technical capabiliti es. The inclusion and exclusion of the device i s confirm ed by
sending out a Node Information Frame. Besi de this it ma y be needed f or certai n network operations to
send out a Node Information Frame.
How to send out Node Information Frame:
When the curtain motor controller is set to inclusion /exclus ion mode ag ain, it will send out Node
Information Frame, there are 2 kinds of operation as fo llows:
1. triple press the K2 button, the curtain motor contro ller will b e set to incl usion/exclusion mode, then send
out Node Information Frame.
2. When the curtain motor controller is under inclusi on mode, th ere are two k inds of operation:
1) Triple press K2 button, the curtain motor controlle r will be set t o inclusi on mode again, and send out
Node Information Frame.
2) Power off and power on t he curtai n motor con troller, it will be set to inclusion mode automat ically, and
send out Node Information Frame.
