Connecting Power
This appliance is designed to operate on AC 120V, 60Hz supply only.
Connecting to other power sources may damage the unit.
Before switching ON, please make sure the voltage of your electricity supply is
the same as that indicated on the rating plate.
If it is necessary to replace the fuse in the plug, replace only with a fuse
having the same rating as the original.
This appliance must be grounded to avoid a safety hazard.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or a
similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
Other precautions
• Always situate your heater / humidifier on a solid and steady surface. This
unit incorporates a safety switch which will activate should the unit be
tipped over.
• WARNING: Do not cover or place anything on or near the heater /
humidifier, which will block the inlets and outlets. Ensure that nothing
blocks the airflow to and from the air inlet, air outlet or steam outlet.
• Route the power cable where it will not be walked on, crushed, chafed or
cut.
• Do not touch the steam outlet while humidifier is in operation, this area
gets hot during operation. The unit may make a boiling noise during
humidifier operation – this is normal.
• Do not use the humidifier function if the water tank is empty.
• Do not fill the water tank while the unit is in operation, plugged in or
immediately after use. This may cause hot water or steam to be ejected
from the steam outlet.
• Do not push any object into any opening and ventilation slots.
• Do not use the heater / humidifier near water (for example: a bath, sink, or
pool), in a wet basement or in any damp environment.
• Do not operate if there is any foreign body or liquid inside the
