Extending the Legs
Each leg of the PRO 423PX has separate leg extensions and each segment may be withdrawn as needed by using the flip lock leg locks. This permits setting your equipment at a comfortable height can be very useful when positioning your tripod on uneven terrain. To secure, close the leg lock firmly in place. Not properly securing a leg lock may cause the tripod leg to retract and may cause damage to your tripod and camera.
Adjusting Leg Angle
To change the operation angle of any leg, fold the leg in slightly towards the center column, push downward on the Leg Angle Adjustment Latch until it locks. You can then spread the leg outward to it lowest angle, or fold the legs inward, which will lock the legs at greater angles, if desired.
Using the Pistol Grip Ball Head
For movement in any direction, simply loosen the Pistol Grip Ball Head, by squeezing the Trigger Control Lock. When you have reached your desired position, simply release the trigger lock and the Pistol Grip Ball Head will lock into place. The Pistol Grip Ball Head can rotate to 360° in any direction.
Quick Release Plate
Push forward the Locking Mechanism located just below the Quick Release Lock Lever. Move the Quick Release Lock Lever outward and remove the Quick Release Plate by lifting upward. The platform has a threaded ¼ x 20 camera mounting screw for camera attachment.
Position the Quick Release Plate so that the camera mounting screw aligns with the matching receptacle on your camera or camcorder and attach, using the camera mounting screw. Move and hold open the Quick Release Lock Lever and with the camera tilted slightly down, slide the Quick Release Plate back into position. After doing so, secure the Quick Release Plate using the Quick Release Lock Lever by pressing firmly until it stops. Note: Do not attempt to open the
Quick Release Lock Lever without pressing the Locking Mechanism first.
