This document provides you with a detailed guide for rackmounting and
configuring the Sun Fire™ V125 server.

Before you use the instructions in this document, you must prepare your site for the
installation and read the latest product notes. See these documents before you begin
the installation process:

How This Document Is Organized

Chapter 1 contains a description of the installation process, a list of the contents of

the shipping kit, and an overview on using the Sun Advanced Lights Out Manager
software.

Chapter 2 contains a list of the rackmounting kit, a list of compatible racks, and

instructions for mounting the server into the rack.

Chapter 3 contains an overview of the status indicators and instructions for

powering on the server, connecting a console, and configuring the preinstalled
software.

Using UNIX Commands

This document might not contain information about basic UNIX®commands and
procedures such as shutting down the system, booting the system, and configuring
devices. Refer to the following for this information:
