When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed

5. Unplug cord from wall outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning.

6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance
malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in

TO reduce the risk of electrical shock, this appliance has a polarized plug

(one blade

is wider than

the other). This plug fits a polarized outlet only one way;

if the plug

does

not fit

fully

into the outlet, reverse the

plug.

If it still does not fit,

contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.

ELECTRIC

CORD

A short power-supply tord is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming
entangled in or tripping over a long cord. Extension cords are available and may be used
if care is exercised in their use. If an extension cord is used, observe the following:

1. The extension cord must be rated at no less than 15 Amps, 120 Volts.

2. The longer cord should be arranged

SO that it will not drape over the countertop

or tabletop where it

can

be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.

USING YOUR

UNIT

VERY IMPORTANT: Add water to the heating chamber BEFORE PLUGGING the hot water

dispenser into an outlet, especially the first time the unit is used and whenever the unit
has been exposed to freezing temperatures.

OPERATING STEPS:

1. Read and follow the instructions molded inside the cover.

2. Prior to first use, wash heating chamber and lid with a damp,
soapy cloth and rinse well.

DO NOT IMMERSE UNIT.

3. Pour the amount of water you wish to heat and use up
immediatelv (up to 16 fluid ounces

-

475 ml.,) into the heating

chamber.

DO NOT OVERFILL HEATING CHAMBER.

DO NOT USE MORE THAN 16 FL. OZ. (475 ml).

4. Use the hot water dispenser TO HEAT WATER ONLY
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO HEAT ANY OTHER

LIQUID

OR FOOD IN THIS UNIT.

5. Plug into 120 volt outlet.

6. Close the cover and press the HEAT lever.

NOTE: The red light will be on while the water is heating

and will

turn

off when the water is ready to dispense.

7. Add beverage ingredients

to

your cup and center cup

on the base underneath the dispensing spout.

8. When the red light turns off, press the DISPENSE lever
to fill the cup with heated water. DRAIN THE UNIT

COMPLETELY

AFTER

EACH USE.

9. Mix and the beverage is ready for your enjoyment!

NOTE: If a second cup of water is to be heated immediately,

be sure the unit is completely drained, then add the desired

amount of COLD water. The cold water Will help cool the tank

and allow the reset of the thermostat.

CARE AND CLEANING

CLEANING :

Unplug unit before cleaning. After unit is cool, wipe exteriar with a soft, damp cloth,
then dry with a soft towel DO NOT use abrasive

cleaners

or

metal

scouring pads.

DO NOT IMMERSE HOT WATER DISPENSER IN WATER

IMPORTANT: After

continual

use, a lime deposit

may

accumulate in the heating chamber

causing longer heating cycles. The rate at which the deposit forms

will vary

depending

upon the hardness of the water

used

and the frequency with which the unit is

used.

TO remove the deposit:

1.

Unplug

cord from outlet

2 Add a mixture of half water and half white distilled vinegar solution (8 fluid oz.

-

235 ml

each)

to the heating chamber and let it remain in the heating chamber until
the deposit is removed. Drain the cleaning solution by pressing down on the
DISPENSE lever. DO NOT HEAT THE VINEGAR SOLUTION.

3. Run

one

or two fresh water cycles to remove

any

residual cleaning solution.

S TORAGE

AND

MAINTENANCE:

l

Unplug

and empty the hot water dispenser when not in use.

l

Store the hot water dispenser on a dry

counter

top or table top.

l

When not in use, the electric cord should be coiled and stored in the

area

provided

in the hollow base of the hot water dispenser.

l

Route cord through “T” slot in

back

of housing to prevent unit from resting on cord

during operation

l

Other than the recommended cleaning, no further user maintenance should be necessary.

Pour réduire le risque de choc électrique, cet appareil est doté d’une fiche polarisée

(une broche est plus large que

l'autre).

Cette fiche ne va que dans un sens seulement sur
une prise de courant polarisée. Si la fiche ne s’enfonce pas complètement dans la prise,
la retourne et essayer de nouveau. Si elle ne s’adapte toujours pas à fond, consulter
un électricien qualifié. Veillez à respecter les mesures de securité de la prise polarisée.

CORDON

D’/hiENTATION

Un fil électrique d’une longueur courte est livré avec l’appareil afin de réduire le risque

de

semmêler

ou de trébucher sur un fil plus long. II existe des cordons d’alimentation

amovibles plus longs et des rallonges qui peuvent être utilisés si l’on fait preuve de

prudence. Lors de l’utilisation d’une rallonge, suivre ces directives:

1. En cas d’utilisation d’un plus long fil électrique détachable ou d’une rallonge, les
caractéristiques électriques sur le fil doivent être au moins de 15 Ampères, 120 V.

2. Le fil ne doit pas être placé de manière à ce qu’il pende au dessus de la table ou

du comptoir pour qu’un enfant puisse tirer dessus ou trébucher dessus par accident.

Ajouter de l’eau dans le compartiment de chauffage AVANT DE BRANCHER

le distributeur d’eau chaude, plus spécialement lors de la première utilisation et à chaque

fois que l’appareil a été exposé à des températures très froides.

TAPES DE FONCTIONNEMENT:

1.

Lire et suivre les instructions moulées à l’intérieur du couvercle.

2. Avant la première utilisation, laver le compartiment de chauffage et le couvercle avec
un chiffon humide et savonneux et bien rincer.

NE PAS FAIRE TREMPER L'APPAREIL.

3. Verser la quantité d’eau à chauffer et utiliser immédiatement
(jusqu’à 16 onces de liquide

-

475 ml.) dans la chambre de

chauffage.

NE PAS FAIREDÉBORDER LECOMPARTIMENT

DE CHAUFFAGE. NE PAS UNTILISER PLUS DE 16 ONCES
DE

LIQUIDE (475

ml).

4. N’utiliser le distributeur d’eau chaude que pour CHAUFFER

DE L'EAU. NE PAS ESSAYER DE FAIRE CHAUFFER UN AUTRE

LIQUIDE OU DE LA NOURRITURE DANS CET APPAREIL.

5. Brancher dans une prise de 120 volt.

6. Fermer le couvercle et appuyer sur le levier HEAT.

REMARQUE: La lampe rouge restera allumée durant

le chauffage de l’eau et s’éteindra lorsque l’eau est prête.

7. Ajouter les ingrédients pour la boisson dans votre tasse et placer

le centre de la tasse sur la base en-dessous du bec de distribution.

8. Lorsque l’indicateur rouge s’éteint, appuyer sur le levier de
distribution (DISPENSE) pour remplir la tasse d’eau chaude.

VIDER COMPLÈTEMENT CAPPAREIL APRÈS CHAQUE

UTILISATION.

9. Mélanger et apprécier! Remarque: Si vous voulez chauffer
de l’eau pour une seconde tasse, vérifier que l’appareil est
entièrement vidé, puis ajouter la quantité d’eau FROIDE désirée.
L'eau

froide aidera à refroidir le réservoir et permet de relancer

le thermostat.

ENTRETIEN ET NETTOYAGE

NETTOYAGE:

Débrancher l’appareil avant le nettoyage. Après refroidissement de l’appareil, essuyer
l’extérieur avec un chiffon doux et humide. NE PAS utiliser de nettoyants abrasifs ou de

tampons à

récurrer

métalliques. NE PAS PLACER LE DISTRIBUTEUR D’EAU CHAUDE

DANS DE L’EAU.

IMPORTANT: Après une utilisation continuelle, un dépôt de calcaire peut s’accumuler

dans le compartiment de chauffage, entraînant une rallonge des cycles de chauffe.
Le taux de formation du dépôt dépend de la dureté de l’eau utilisée et de la fréquence
d’emploi de l’appareil. Pour ôter le dépôt:

1 Débrancher le cordon.

2. Remplir le compartiment de chauffage avec un mélange moitié eau et moitié vinaigre
de vin blanc distillé (8

onces liquide

-235ml

de chaque) et le maintenir dans
le compartiment jusqu’à suppression du dépôt. Vider la solution de nettoyage en
appuyant sur le levier DISPENSE. NE PAS CHAUFFER LA SOLUTION VINAIGREE.

3. RINCER une ou deux fois à l’eau fraîche pour enlever toute solution de nettoyage
résiduelle.
