Safety Precautions For Your Heater
Important Instructions - Retain For Future Use
This heater becomes hot during use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. If provided, use handles when moving this heater. Keep combustible materials such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes and curtains at least 3 feet (90cm) away from the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear.
Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left unattended.
Always unplug the heater when not in use.
Do not use outdoors.
Do not run the cord of the heater under carpeting. Do not cover the cord wit
h throw rugs, runners or other  oor coverings. Arrange the cord away from traf c areas where it will not be tripped over.
Do not locate the heater immediately below a socket outlet.
Do not use this heater in the immediate surrounds of a bath, shower, laundry area or swimming pool.
Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust openings as this may cause electric shock or  re, or damage to the heater.
To prevent a possible  re, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, such as beds, where opening may become blocked.
A heater has
hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where petrol, paint or  ammable liquids are used or stored.

Adjustable thermostat
Your Sunbeam Compact Ceramic Heater features an adjustable thermostat which detects the temperature in the vicinity of the heater and switches the heating element off when a preset temperature is reached.
Safety auto shutoff
If the appliance overheats, for example due to the grilles being accidentally blocked, a switch automatically activates to turn the heater off. For added safety, you must remove the plug from the wall and wait till the heater cools down before the heater can be switched back on.
Ceramic element
The design of the ceramic element ensures that if the ceramic gets too hot, the
flow of
electricity is automatically limited.
Instant tip over cut out
The instant tip over cut out interrupts the power to the heating element and fan if the heater is accidentally tipped over. The heater will not resume operation until it is replaced in the upright position.

Power ON light
Illuminates to indicate that the heater
is connected to the power outlet and the mode selector dial is set to either low heat, high heat or fan only.
Ceramic element
The 1800 watt ceramic element is more ef cient than other element types as it converts more electricity into heat that is transferred into the room. It also self-regulates the energy  ow depending on the temperature for added safety. If the ceramic gets too hot, the electricity  ow is automatically reduced. Ceramic elements are safer than other element types, as they operate at temperatures below the ignition temperature of highly  ammable materials like tissue paper.
Moulded carry handle
Convenient handle allows you to comfortably carry the heater from room to room.
Mesh grille
Durable and attractive, the grille is designed to protect the ceramic heating element.
