Choosing the cutting length
Choose one of the two cutting length attachments
• When using the shorter attachment you can set the cutting
lengths to the following length settings: 4, 8, 12, 16 or
20mm.
• When using the longer attachment you can set the cutting
lengths to the following length settings: 24, 28, 32, 36 or
40mm.
• Attach the comb of your choice to the unit, ensuring that it
clicks into position. Press your thumb down on the lever on
the back of the attachment comb and gently guide upwards
until your cutting length choice is visible in the window.
• The numbers 4-40 represent the cutting guide lengths
• Make sure that the attachment is always firmly locked in
before you start trimming hair.
• If you wish to further shorten the hair or beard, you can
push the comb attachment downward into another position
to repeat the cutting process.
9

Using your Hair Cutter
• The first time you use your Hair Cutter, cut a small section
of hair to familiarize yourself with the cutting length of each
comb attachment.
• Ensure that the Hair Cutter is clean and that there is no hair
in the blades.
• Place the person whose hair is about to be cut so that the
top of their head is at eye level.
• The hair should be clean and dry or damp. Comb hair free of
tangles.
• If the hair is longer than 10cm, it might be easier to cut the
hair to a manageable length using the barbers comb and
scissors provided before using the cutter.
• Start at the back of the neck with the blades pointing
upwards and gently guide the cutter up through the hair
towards the top of the head.
• Do not force the cutter through the hair quickly as this may
pull the hair and cause discomfort.
• Repeat on the sides of the head.
• To cut hair on the top of the head, start at the front and
gently guide the cutter through the hair to the back of the
head.

the neck remove the comb from the cutter.

the hair length.

Cleaning the Hair Cutter Blades
Switch off the appliance and pull out the mains plug from
the mains outlet. Remove the cutting length comb from the
appliance. Ensure the thin out function switch is set to "O".
Press the cutter set with your thumb pushing the cutter set
away from the appliance until it clicks out from the holder.
Remove remaining hair residue from the cutter set with the
enclosed cleaning brush. The cutter set can also be washed
under flowing water.
The appliance can be wiped down (WET or DRY) but it must not
be immersed in water as it contains live parts (rechargeable
batteries).
Once the cutter set is completely dry, insert it again by guiding
the bottom projection of the cutter set into the housing
opening and firmly pressing the trimmer head until it audibly
latches.
Oiling the trimmer head
Ceramic blades do not require regular oiling however we do
recommend that they are oiled if the Hair Cutter has not been
used for an extended period.
Remove the cutting length comb and the cutter set from
the appliance as described in the ‘Cleaning the hair cutter’
section. Apply one to two drops of oil between the cutting
