4. DO NOT DRY CLEAN THIS HEATED PRODUCT. CLEANING LIQUID AND BLEACH MAY DAMAGE THE INSULATION OF THE HEATING ELEMENT. IMPROPER LAUNDERING MAY CAUSE PROBLEMS WITH THE HEATING WIRE WHICH CAN LEAD TO FIRE.

5. DO NOT TUCK IN, PINCH, FLEX OR EXPOSE THE HEATING WIRE TO RUBBING. A DAMAGED HEATING WIRE MAY RESULT IN POSSIBLE OVERHEATING OR FIRE. DO NOT TUCK THE HEATED PRODUCT OR SUPPLY CORD IN A SOFA, ARMCHAIR OR OTHER FURNITURE.

6. TURN OFF OR UNPLUG THE CONTROL FOR THE HEATED PRODUCT WHEN NOT USING.

7. WRAPPING THE CORD AROUND THE CONTROLLER MAY DAMAGE THE CORD. LOOP LOOSELY WHEN STORING.

8. CONTROLLER IS NOT WATERPROOF. DO NOT IMMERSE IN WATER.

THERAPEUTIC LOW HEAT

Unlike traditional heating pads, your Renue™ Back & Body Warming Pad is designed to provide a low-level therapeutic heat over an extended period of time. When used as intended – on a chair or on a bed – it will give off consistent and soothing low heat, providing therapeutic relief from aches and pains. The heat this pad generates can best be experienced by seating or lying on top of the product.

SET-UP & USAGE INSTRUCTIONS

Your Renue™ Back & Body Warming Pad is designed to be used on a chair or on bed for a continuous heat therapy. It provides relief from aches and pains by giving off consistent low level, soothing heat while you work or relax. This pad can also be used as a proactive heat therapy – to reduce stress and tension before it hurts!

FOR USE ON A CHAIR:

1. Place the Renue™ Back & Body Pad on a chair, with softer ﬂeece fabric facing out. The cord connector should be on the right side of the chair's seat, and the two loop holes for straps should be at the top corners of the chair’s back (Figure 1).

2. Secure the pad on the chair with provided ﬂexible Velcro straps (Figures 2a-b). Depending on personal preference and the size and type of chair, the orientation of the straps may change. Place the straps in a way that allows the pad to be attached securely to the chair while still being comfortable to sit on.

3. As an optional feature, your Renue™ Back & Body pad can be rolled up for lumbar support, allowing for added comfort throughout the day. Just roll up the seat portion of the pad and secure with the Velcro strip on the underside of the pad (Figure 3).

4. Make sure Control Connector is securely attached to the Pad Connector (Figure 4). Push both parts together until they click for a tight ﬁt. NOTE: Control must be connected to heating pad before plugging unit into outlet.

5. After control is connected to pad, plug into 120V AC electrical outlet. For convenience, the pad features a snap that can be used to keep cord & controller handy, but out of the way (Figure 5). NOTE: To avoid any tangling or pinching, do not tuck in the cord between chair’s seat and back or arms.

6. To turn the pad on, press the Power Button. Then select from 4 heat settings by scrolling to the desired setting with the Power Button from "warm" to "high" (Figure 6).

7. To turn the pad OFF, scroll through the remaining heat settings by pressing the Power Button sequentially until no lights remain lit.

FOR USE ON A BED:

1. The Renue™ Back & Body pad can be placed on top of or underneath a ﬁtted sheet.

2. Place the pad on a bed in the position that best allows heat to target the affected area of aches or pains. The softer ﬂeece fabric should be facing up (Figure 7).

3. Make sure Control Connector is securely attached to the Pad Connector (Figure 4). Push both parts together until they click for a tight ﬁt. NOTE: Control must be connected to heating pad before plugging unit into outlet.

4. After control is connected to pad, plug into 120V AC electrical outlet.

5. Run the control cord on the ﬂoor under the bed. To avoid any tangling or pinching, do not sandwich cord between the mattress and box spring. For your convenience, the pad features a snap that can be used to keep the cord & controller handy, but out of the way.

6. To turn the pad on, press the Power Button. Then select from 4 heat settings by scrolling to the desired setting with the Power Button from "warm" to "high" (Figure 6).

7. To turn the pad OFF, scroll through the remaining heat settings by pressing the Power Button sequentially until no lights remain lit.

AUTO-OFF FEATURE

Your pad controller includes an Auto-Off feature. This feature is designed to conserve energy by automatically turning off after 8 hours of continuous use.

NOTE: After a power outage, the Auto-Off feature automatically resets the timer.

CARE AND CLEANING

BEFORE WASHING OR STORING YOUR HEATED PRODUCT:

1. Disconnect power cord from wall BEFORE detaching control cord from the heated product.

2. Ensure that no cords are still connected to the pad and none of the wires have worn through the fabric of the pad.

3. Carefully follow all washing instructions or your Renue™ Back & Body pad may shrink and/or cause a ﬁre hazard.

•DO NOT submerge control in water.

•DO NOT dry clean your heated product. Dry cleaning solvents may damage the wires.

•DO NOT use bleach or cleaning ﬂuids.

•DO NOT use a wringer.

•DO NOT iron your heated product.

•DO NOT use mothballs or sprays of any kind.

•DO NOT reconnect the heated product or use it until it is COMPLETELY dry.

•DO NOT wash or put into water the power cord or any of the product’s cords.

Taking care of your Renue™ Back & Body Pad is easy as long as you follow a few simple steps.

MACHINE WASHING

1. Presoak the pad for 15 minutes in mild soap and lukewarm water.

2. Wash in mild soap and lukewarm water on the “delicate” or “gentle” cycle in the washer for two minutes. Remember, do not use bleach.

3. Rinse in fresh, lukewarm water.

4. Spin dry in the washing machine. Then gently stretch to its original size.

MACHINE DRYING CAUTION: Do not use commercial dryers or the dryers at your local laundromat. They

get too hot and will damage the wiring of the heated product.

1. Preheat the dryer on the “low” temperature setting for 2 minutes.

2. Place pad into the dryer. Remove the pad while it is still damp, then gently stretch pad to its original size.

3. Drape pad over a clothesline or a shower rod. DO NOT use clothespins.

4. Pad must be COMPLETELY dry before reconnecting the power plug or control plug.

HAND WASHING

1. Presoak the pad for 15 minutes in mild soap and lukewarm water.

2. Gently squeeze the soap suds through a few times.

3. Rinse in fresh, lukewarm water.

HAND DRYING

1. Gently stretch the pad back to its original size.

2. Drape over a clothesline or hang over a shower rod. DO NOT use clothespins.

Pad must be COMPLETELY dry before reconnecting the power plug or control plug.

This warranty does not cover normal wear of parts or damage resulting from any of the following: negligent use or misuse of the product, use on improper voltage or current, use contrary to the operating instructions, disassembly, repair or alteration by anyone other than JCS or an authorized JCS service center. Further, the warranty does not cover: Acts of God, such as ﬁre, ﬂood, hurricanes and tornadoes.

What are the limits on JCS’s Liability?

JCS shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages caused by the breach of any express, implied or statutory warranty or condition. Except to the extent prohibited by applicable law, any implied warranty or condition of merchantability or ﬁtness for a particular purpose is limited in duration to the duration of the above warranty. CALORCITO TERAPÉUTICO

A diferencia de los cojines tradicionales de calor, su cojín Renue™ para cuerpo y espalda está diseñado para proporcionar un nivel bajo de calor terapéutico durante un período extendido de tiempo. Cuando se utiliza como previsto - en una silla o en la cama - le emitirá calorcito constante y relajante, proporcionando alivio terapéutico de dolores y molestias. Se puede sentir mejor el calor generado por este cojín al sentarse o recostarse encima del producto.

INSTRUCCIONES DE INSTALACIÓN Y USO

Su cojín Renue™ para cuerpo y espalda está diseñado para ser utilizado en una silla o en la cama proporcionando una terapia continua de calor para el alivio de dolores y malestares a través de la emisión constante de calorcito relajante mientras usted trabaja o descansa. ¡Este cojín también se puede utilizar como una terapia dinámica de calor, para reducir el estrés y las tensiones antes de que se conviertan en dolor!

PARA USO EN UNA SILLA:

1. Coloque el cojín Renue™ para cuerpo y espalda en una silla, con el revestimiento de tela más suave hacia fuera. El conector del cable debe colocarse en el lado derecho del asiento de la silla, y los dos oriﬁcios para las correas deben estar en las esquinas superiores del respaldo de la silla (Figura 1).

2. Asegure el cojín a la silla con las correas ﬂexibles de Velcro proporcionadas (Figuras 2a-b). Dependiendo de sus preferencias personales y del tamaño y tipo de silla utilizada, la orientación de las correas puede variar. Coloque las correas de manera que permitan ﬁjar ﬁrmemente el cojín a la silla manteniéndolo cómodo para sentarse.

3. Como característica opcional, su cojín Renue™ para cuerpo y espalda se puede colocar más arriba para ofrecer soporte lumbar, proporcionando mayor comodidad durante el día. Solo suba la parte del asiento del cojín y asegúrelo con la tira de Velcro en la superﬁcie inferior del cojín (Figura 3).

4. Cerciórese de que el conector del control esté asegurado ﬁrmemente al conector del cojín (Figura 4). Para un ajuste seguro, acople ambas piezas hasta que escuche un clic. NOTA: El control debe conectarse al cojín de calor ANTES de enchufar la unidad al tomacorriente.

5. Después de que el control esté conectado al cojín, enchufe la unidad a un tomacorriente eléctrico de CA de 120V. Para su conveniencia, el cojín ofrece un broche de presión que se puede utilizar para mantener el cable y el control al alcance de su mano, pero sin estorbar (Figura 5). NOTA: Para evitar enredarlo o pellizcarlo, no coloque el cable entre el asiento de la silla y el respaldo o los descansabrazos.

6. Para activar el cojín, presione el botón de encendido (POWER) y seleccione uno de los 4 niveles del calor presionando repetidamente el botón de encendido hasta llegar al nivel deseado (Figura 6).

7. Para apagar el cojín, presione el botón de encendido repetidamente hasta que todas las luces se apaguen.

PARA USO EN LA CAMA:

1. El cojín Renue™ para cuerpo y espalda se puede colocar encima o debajo de la sabana cubre-colchón.

2. Coloque el cojín en una cama en la posición que mejor permita que el calor llegue al área afectada por dolores. La tela más suave debe quedar hacia arriba (Figura 7).

3. Cerciórese de que el conector del control esté asegurado ﬁrmemente al conector del cojín (Figura 4). Para un ajuste seguro, acople ambas piezas hasta que escuche un clic. NOTA: El control debe conectarse al cojín de calor ANTES de enchufar la unidad al tomacorriente.

4. Después de que el control esté conectado al cojín, enchufe la unidad a un tomacorriente eléctrico de CA 120V.

5. Coloque el cable del control en el piso debajo de la cama. Para evitar enredarlo o pellizcarlo, no coloque el cable entre el colchón y el catre. Para su conveniencia, el cojín ofrece un broche de presión que se puede utilizar para mantener el cable y el control al alcance de su mano, pero sin estorbar.

7. Para apagar el cojín, presione el botón de encendido repetidamente hasta que todas las luces se apaguen.

FUNCIÓN DE AUTO-APAGADO

El control de su cojín incluye la función de Auto-Apagado. Dicha función está diseñada para conservar energía al apagar automáticamente el cojín después de 8 horas de uso continuo. NOTA: Después de una falla en el servicio eléctrico, la función de Auto-Apagado reiniciará automáticamente el contador de tiempo.

CUIDADO Y LIMPIEZA

ANTES DE LAVAR O DE ALMACENAR SU PRODUCTO DE CALOR:

1. Desconecte el cable de alimentación de la pared ANTES de separar el cable del control del producto de calor.

2. Asegúrese de que ningún cable quede conectado al cojín y que ningunos de los alambres haya perforado la tela del cojín.

3. Siga cuidadosamente todas las instrucciones de lavado para evitar que su cojín Renue™ para cuerpo y espalda pudiera encogerse u ocasionar un incendio.

•NO sumerja el control en el agua.

•NO lave en seco (tintorería) su producto de calor. Los solventes del lavado en seco

pueden dañar los cables.

•NO utilice blanqueador ni líquidos quitamanchas.

•NO retuerza el cojín para escurrirlo.

•NO planche su producto de calor.

•NO utilice bolitas de naftalina ni aerosoles de ninguna clase.

•NO reconecte el producto de calor ni lo utilice hasta que esté TOTALMENTE seco.

•NO lave ni coloque en el agua los cables de alimentación ni ningún cable del producto.

Es muy sencillo cuidar su cojín Renue™ para cuerpo y espalda siempre y cuando siga algunos pasos simples.

LAVADO EN LAVADORA AUTOMÁTICA

1. Remoje el cojín por 15 minutos en jabón suave y agua tibia.

2. Lave en la lavadora con jabón suave y agua tibia en el ciclo "delicado" o "suave" por dos minutos. Recuerde no utilizar blanqueador.

3. Enjuague en agua fresca y tibia.

4. Elimine el agua utilizando la centrifuga de la lavadora (spin). Luego estire suavemente para devolverlo a su tamaño original.

SECADO EN SECADORA AUTOMÁTICA PRECAUCIÓN: No utilice secadoras comerciales ni secadoras de su lavandería local

ya que se calientan demasiado y dañarán el cableado del producto de calor.

1. Precaliente la secadora en el nivel de temperatura "baja" por 2 minutos.

2. Coloque el cojín en la secadora. Retire el cojín mientras está todavía húmedo y estírelo suavemente para que recobre su tamaño original.

3. Coloque el cojín sobre un tendedero de ropa o la barra de la ducha. NO lo sujete con pinzas para detener la ropa.

4. El cojín debe estar TOTALMENTE seco antes de volver a conectar el enchufe de alimentación o el enchufe del control.

LAVADO A MANO

1. Remoje el cojín por 15 minutos en jabón suave y agua tibia.

2. Exprima suavemente la espuma del jabón varias veces.

3. Enjuague en agua fresca y tibia.

SECADO MANUAL

1. Estire el cojín suavemente para devolverlo a su tamaño original.

2. Coloque el cojín sobre un tendedero de ropa o la barra de la ducha. NO lo sujete con pinzas para detener la ropa.

4. El cojín debe estar TOTALMENTE seco antes de volver a conectar el enchufe de alimentación o el enchufe del control.
