Your safety and the safety of others ar e very important.
We have provided many important safety messages in this manual and on your appliance. Always read
and obey all safety messages.
This is the Safety Alert Symbol. The symbol alerts you to potential hazards that
can kill or injure you and others. All safety messages will follow the Safety
Alert Symbol and either the words "DANGER" or "WARNING".
Danger means that failure to heed this safety
statement may result in severe personal injury or

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Before the appliance is used, it must be properly positioned and installed as
described in this manual, so read the manual carefully. To reduce the risk of fire,
electrical shock or injury when using the appliance, follow basic precautions,
including the following:
• Plug into a grounded 3-prong outlet, do not remove grounding prong, do not use an adapter, and do
not use an extension cord.
• Replace all panels before operating.
• It is recommended that a separate circuit serving only your appliance be provided. Use receptacles
that cannot be turned off by a switch or pull chain.
• Never clean appliance parts with f lam mable fluids. Thes e f umes can create a f ir e ha zard or explosion.
And do not store or use gasoline or other flammable vapors and liquids in the vicinity of this or any
other appliance. The fumes can create a fire hazard or explosion.
• Before proceeding with cleaning and maintenance operations, make sure the power line of the unit is
disconnected.
• Do not connect or disconnect the electric plug when your hands are wet.
• Unplug the appliance or dis c onnec t power before cleaning or servicing. Failure to do so can result in
electrical shock or death.

• Do not attempt to repair or replace any part of your appliance unless it is specifically recommended in
this manual. All other servicing should be referred to a qualified technician.
FOLLOW WARNING CALLOUTS BELOW ONLY WHEN APPLICABLE TO YOUR MODEL
• Use two or more people to move and install appliance. Failure to do so can result in back or other
injury.
• To ensure proper ventilation for your appliance, the front of the unit must be completely unobstructed.
Choose a well-ventilated area with temperatures above 60°F (16°C) and below 90°F (32°C). This unit
must be installed in an area protected from the elements, such as wind, rain, water spray or drips.
• The appliance should not be located next to ovens, grills or other sources of high heat.
• The appliance must be installed with all electrical, water and drain connections in accordance with
state and local codes. A standard electrical supply (115 V AC only, 60 Hz), proper l y ground ed in
accordance with the National Electrical Code and local codes and ordinances, is required.
• Do not kink or pinch the power supply cord of the appliance.
• The size of the fuse (or circuit breaker) should be 15 amperes.
• It is important that the appliance be leveled in order to work properly. You may need to make several
adjustments to level it.
• All installations must be in accordance with local plumbing code requirements.
• Make certain that the pipes are not pinched, kinked or damaged during installation.
• Check for leaks after connection.
• Never allow children to operate, play with or crawl inside the appliance.
• Although the unit has been tested at the factory, due to long-term transit and storage, the first batch
of cubes must be discarded.
• Do not use solvent-based cleaning agents or abrasives on the interior. These cleaners may damage
or discolor the interior.
• Use this appliance only for its intended purpose as described in this Owner’s Man ual .
• Keep fingers out of the “pinch point” areas. Clearances bet w een the doors and bet ween the door s
and cabinet are necessarily small. Be careful closing doors when children are in the area.
Risk of child entrapment!
Child entrapment and suffocation are not problems of the past. Junked or abandoned appliances are
still dangerous, even if they will “just sit in the garage a few days”.
Before discarding your old refrigerator:
• Take off the doors
• Leave the shelves in place so that children may not easily climb inside.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
BEFORE USING YOUR APPLIANCE
• Remove the exterior and interior packing.
• Before connecting the ap pliance to the power sour ce, let it stand upright for approxim ately 2 hours.
This will reduce the possibility of a malfunction in the cooling system from handling during
transportation.
• Clean the interior surface with lukewarm water using a soft cloth.
• Install the handles on the doors. (See page 8.)

unit, adjust the front le velin g legs.
• For free-standing installation, leave 5 i nches (127mm) of space around the back and sides of the unit
to allow proper air circulation to c ool the com pressor and con denser. Even for built-in installat ion, you
should provide the f ollowing clearances to ensure the bes t operation and pro per ventilation: 3/16” on
both sides, 2” at the rear and 1/16” at the top. Take care that the air vent at the front of the appliance is
never covered or blocked in any way.
• NOTE: It is recom m ended t hat you do not insta ll the a ppliance near an o ven, r adi ator or other he ating
source. Direct sunlight may affect the acrylic coating and heat sources may increase electrical
consumption. Don’t install in a location where the t emperature will fall below 60°F (16°C). For best
performance, do not install the appliance behind a cabinet door or block the base grille.
• Avoid locating the unit in moist areas.
• Plug the Wine Cellar into an exclusive, properly grounded wall outlet. Do not under any circum-
stances cut or rem ove the t hird (ground) prong f rom the power cord. Any quest ions conc erning po wer
and/or grounding should be directed toward a certified electrician or an authorized service center.
BUILT-IN CABINET INSTRUCTIONS
This unit is designed for either built-in or free-standing installation. If you plan to use the unit in a built-in
application, use the following dimensions for the enclosure:
: This appliance is designed for storing and cooling wines. Do not store perishable f ood,
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
Improper use of the grounded plug can result in the risk of electrical shock. If the power cord is
damaged, have it replaced by a qualified electrician or an authorized service center.
This appliance should be properly grounded for your safety. The power cord of this appliance is equipped
with a three-prong pl ug which mates w ith standard three-prong wall outlets to minimize the poss ibility of
electrical shock.
Do not under any circumstances cut or remove the third (ground) prong from the power cord supplied. For
personal safety, this appliance must be properly grounded.
This appliance requires a s tandard 115/12 0 Volt AC ~ 60Hz three-prong grounded electrical outl et. Have
the wall outlet and circu it checked b y a qualified electric ian to make s ure the outlet is prop erly grounded.
When a standard 2-prong wall outlet is encountered, it is your responsibility and obligation to have it
replaced with a properly grounded 3-prong wa ll outlet.
To prevent accidental injur y, the cord should be sec ured behind the appliance an d not left exposed or
dangling.

The appliance should a l ways be p lug ged int o its o w n indi vi dua l electrical outlet which has a volt age r ati ng
that matches the rating label on the appliance. This provides the best performance and also prevents
overloading house wiring circuits that could cause a fire hazard from overheating. Never unplug the
appliance by pulling on the power cord. Always grip the plug firmly and pull straight out from the
receptacle. Repair or replace immediately all power cords that have become frayed or otherwise
damaged. Do not use a cord that shows cracks or abrasion damage along its length or at either end.
When moving the appliance, be careful not to damage the power cord.
EXTENSION CORD
Because of potential safety hazards under certain conditions, it is strongly recommended that you do not
use an extension cord with this appliance. However, if you must use an extension cord it is absolutely
necessary that it be a UL/CUL-Listed, 3-wire grounding type appliance extension cord having a grounding
type plug and outlet and that the electrical rating of the cord be 115 volts and at least 10 amperes.
REVERSING THE DOOR SWING OF YOUR APPLIANCE
This unit has the capability of the door opening from either the left or right side. The unit is delivered to
you with the door opening from the left side. Should you desire to reverse the opening direction, follow
the following reversal instructions.

NOTE: All parts removed must be saved to allow the door swing to be reversed.
1. Open the lower glas s do or and remove the t wo l oc k screws (1) h ol din g the do or s haft assembly (3) to
the lower glass door. Be careful to hold the glass door firmly after removing the screws. (Fig. 1)
2. Pull down to remove the lower glass door and place it on a padded surface to prevent scratching it.

3. Remove the lower door hinge (2) and then install it at the desig nated position on the opposite side.

And install the door shaft assembly (3) accordingly. (Fig. 2)
4. Remove the center hinge (4) b y unscrewing the t wo fixing bolts. Be careful to hold t he glass door
firmly after removing the b olts. Pull down to rem ove the upper glass door and place it on a padde d
surface to prevent scratching it. (Fig. 3)
5. Remove the door axle (5) from the r ight upper hinge t hen inst all and tig hten it in the left upper hinge.
(Fig. 4)
6. Set the upper glass door to the desig nated pos ition. Then tur n around t he center hin ge 180° and r efit
it on the opposite side by screwing the two fixing bolts. Level the door by adjusting the two fixing
bolts. And make sure that the spacers which the hinge pins sit on are correctly positioned. (Fig. 3)
7. Set the lower glass door to the design ated position an d install the two lock screws (1) to connec t the
door shaft assembly (3) with the glass door and tighten them before the door is leveled.
8. Remove the handles from the left side of the doors and install them on the right side. (See next
section.)
INSTALLING THE STAINLESS STEEL HANDLES
This wine cellar includes two (2) stainless steel handles that are not required to operate the unit. To install
each handle, follow the instructions below:
1. Pull away the door gasket in the area where
the handle is to be insta ll ed . The gasket is
easily displaced by hand; no tools are
necessary.
2. Using a flathead screwdriver, remove the two
(2) pre-installed decorative plugs from the
back of the door. Save the decorative plugs
for future use.
3. Insert the two (2) Phillips head handle screws
with the lock washers and flat washers
through the gasket side of the door frame until
the screws pass through the door frame.
Follow the sequence shown in the figure.
4. Align the handle with the screws installed in step # 3 above. Tighten the screws using a Phillips
head screwdriver until the handle is both flush and secured tightly against the door frame. (DO
NOT over-tighten as this will cause damage to the handle assembly and stainless steel door
surface.)
5. Restore the door gasket to its original position.

OPERATING YOUR APPLIANCE
It is recommended you install the appliance in a place where the ambient temperature is between 72º and
78ºF (23º-26ºC). If the ambient temperature is above or below the recommended temperatures, the
performance of the unit may be affected. For example, placing your unit in extreme cold or hot conditions
may cause interior temperatures to fluctuate. The range of 40º-72ºF (5º-22ºC) may not be reached.
RECOMMENDED TEMPERATURE SETTINGS
CONTROL PANEL
ON/OFF Power
To turn the appliance ON or OFF, touch the symbol and hold for 5 seconds. The LED readout
will show the temperature set previously (the preset temperature at the factory for UPPER ZONE is
50ºF/10ºC and for LOWER ZONE is 60ºF/16ºC).
Key Lock
If no key is touched for 2 minutes, the controls will be locked automatically. To release the lock,

You can select the temperature display setting (either Fahrenheit or Celsius degrees) by touching
the
display window for each zone. You can touch the left side UP and DOWN marks to control the
internal temperature of the UPPER ZONE and touch the right side UP and DOWN marks to control
the internal temperature of the LOWER ZONE.

It is recommended to set the LOWER ZONE to 55º - 65ºF (13º - 18ºC) which is ideal for storing
white and red wines and the UPPER ZONE to 40º - 55ºF (5º - 13ºC) which is ideal for storing
sparkling and white wines.
• The temperature you are setting will increase by one degree each time you touch the UP
symbol, and will decrease by one degree each time you touch the DOWN symbol.
• When you store mostl y red wines, t he tem perature should be set at 58º - 72ºF (15º - 22ºC) and
the LED lamp for RED will be lit red.
• When you store mostly white wines, the temperature should be set at 48º - 57ºF (9º - 14ºC) and
the LED lamp for WHITE will be lit green.
• When you store m ostly spark ling wines, the t emperature should be set at 40º - 47ºF (5º - 8ºC)
and the LED lamp for SPARKLING will be lit am ber.
• The temperature inside the unit will appear in blue in the display window.
STORAGE
Bottles can diff er in size and dimens ions. As such the actual number
of bottles you may be able to store can vary.
You can place 108 standard bottles in this model with 8 bottles on
each full-size she lf and 6 bottles on the bottom half-size shelf . Bottle
capacity is at its optimum when storing traditional 750-ml Bordeaux
bottles.
DOOR LOCK
Your unit is provided with a lock and key combination for each door.
The keys are located inside the plastic bag that contains the Instruction Manual. Insert the key into the
lock and turn it counterclockwise to unlock the door. To lock the door, do the reverse operation, making
sure the metal pin is engaged completely. Remove the key and place it in a secure place for safekeeping.
NOTE:
• If the unit is unplugged, or power is lost or turned off, you must wait 3 to 5 minutes before
restarting the unit. If you attempt to restart before this time delay, the unit will not start.
• When you use the unit for the first time or restart the unit after it has been shut off for a long
time, there could be a few degrees variation between the temperature you select and the one
indicated on the LED readout. This is normal and is due to the length of the activation time.
There should not be a problem once the unit has been running for a few hours.
Interior Lights
The unit is equipped with an interior LED light for each compartment which can be turned ON or
OFF by touching the corresponding
symbol.

WINE SHELVES
To prevent damaging the door gasket, make sure to have the door all the way open when pulling the
shelves out of a rail compartment.
• For easy access to the stored bottles, you can pull a
shelf approximately halfway out of the rail
compartment. However this unit was designed with a
plastic post on each side of the shelf track to prevent
bottles from falling.
• When removing the wooden shelf from the inner rails,
make sure to remove all bottles first. Then move the
shelf to the position where the notches in the wooden
shelf are exactly al igned w it h the plastic posts and lift
the wooden shelf. In order to replace the shelf, repeat
the steps described above in reverse.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
CLEANING YOUR WINE CELLAR
• Turn off the power, unplug the appliance, and remove all items, including shelves.
• Wash the inside surfaces with a solution of warm water and bak ing soda (about 2 tab lespoons of
baking soda to a quart of water).
• Wash the shelves with a mild detergent solution.
• Wring excess water out of t he s pon ge or c lot h when c l ean ing the area where the controls are loc ate d,
or any electrical parts.
• Wash the outside cabin et with warm water and m ild liquid deterge nt. Rinse we ll and wipe dr y with a
clean soft cloth.
• Do not use steel wool or a steel brush on the stainless steel.
CAUTION:
Failure to unplug t he appliance durin g cleaning could result in electrical shock or other personal injury
POWER FAILURE
Most power failures are corrected within a few hours and should not affect the temperature of your
appliance if you m inimize the number of times the do or is opened. If the power is go ing to be off for a
longer period of time, you need to take the proper steps to protect the contents.
VACATION TIME
• Short vacations: Leave the appliance operating during vacations of less than three weeks.
• Long vacations: If the appliance will not be used for several m onths, remove all items and tur n off
the appliance. Clean and dry the interior thorough ly. To prevent odor and m old growth, leave the
door open slightly, blocking it open if necessary.

MOVING YOUR APPLIANCE
1. Remove all items.
2. Securely tape down all loose items (shelves) inside your appliance.
3. Turn the adjustable legs up to the base to avoid damage.
4. Tape the doors shut.
5. Be sure the appliance stays secure in the upright position during transportation. Also, protect the
outside of the appliance with a blanket or similar item.
ENERGY SAVING TIPS
• The appliance should be located in the coolest area of the room, away from heat-producing
appliances and out of direct sunlight.
• Ensure that the unit is adequately ventilated. Never cover air vents.
• Do not keep the door open any longer than necessary.

TROUBLESHOOTING
You can solve many common problems easily, saving you the cost of a possible service call. Try the
suggestions below to see if you can solve the problem before calling the servicer.
Troubleshooting Guide
The unit does not operate.
The unit is not cold enough. Check the temperature control setting.
Turns on and off frequently.
The light does not work.
Not plugged in.
The appliance is turned off.
External environment may require a higher setting.
The door is opened too often.
The door is not closed completely.
The room temperature is warmer than normal.
A large amount of contents has been added to the
wine cellar.

The rattling noise may come from the flow of the
refrigerant, which is normal.
As each cycle ends, you may hear gurgling sounds
caused by the flow of refrigerant in your unit.

The appliance is not level.
The door was reversed and not properly re-installed.
The gasket is dirty.
The air temperature sensor has failed.

ONE-YEAR LIMITED WAR RANTY
Within the 48 contiguous United States, for one year from the date of purchase, when this appliance is operated and
maintained according to instructions attached to or furnished with the product, warrantor will pay for factory-specified
parts and repair labor to correct defects in materials or workmanship. Service must be provided by a designated
service company. Outside the 48 states, all parts are warranted for one year from manufacturing defects. Plastic
parts, shelves and cabinets are warranted to be manufactured to commercially acceptable standards, and are not
covered from damage during handling or break age.
5-YEAR COMPRESSOR WARRANTY
1. The compressor is covered for 5 years.
2. Replacement does not include labor.
ITEMS WARRANTOR WILL NOT PAY FOR:
1. Service calls to correct the installation of your appliance, to instruct you how to use your appliance, to replace or
repair fuses or to correct wiring or plumbing.
2. Service calls to repair or replace appliance light bulbs or broken shelves. Consumable parts (such as filters) are
excluded from warranty coverage.
3. Damage resulting from accident, alteration, misuse, abuse, fire, flood, acts of God, improper installation,
installation not in accordance with electrical or plumbing codes, or use of products not approved by warrantor.
4. Replacement parts or repair labor costs for units operated outside the United States.
5. Repairs to parts or systems resulting from unauthorized modifications ma de to the applia nc e.
6. Expenses for travel and transportation for product service in remote locations.
7. The removal and reinstallation of your appliance if it is installed in an inaccessible location or is not installed in
accordance with published installation instructions.
