REFRIGERATION & LIGHTING SYSTEM
DO NOT TOUCH THE COMPRESSOR TOP COVER
The compressor in your ACCUCOLD® refrigerator is designed to function silently. DO NOT plug in the
unit immediately after moving it or changing its position. Allow a minimum of 1 hour for the pressures
inside the refrigeration system to equalize and the oils in the compressor to settle. After plugging the unit
in, let it run for one more hour without load or product. The refrigerator may then be loaded.
TEMPERATURE CONTROL
The temperature is controlled by a thermostat which is located on the front ventilation louvers, just below
the door. The thermostat has been factory-set to keep the product between 35.6 and 46.4°F (2 and 8°C).
The thermostat normally displays the temperature inside the cabinet.
To change the set temperature, push the middle button on the thermostat until the previous set
temperature is displayed. Push the upper or lower button until the desired temperature value is shown.
Finally, push the middle button again to select the setting.
To find out about changing other parameters, call our Customer Service Line at 1-800-932-4267.

the refrigerator, behind the front louvers.)
ALARM INSTRUCTIONS
Resetting the Unit
Use a pointed object to push the RESET button on the back of the alarm unit. It is
necessary to reset the unit whenever a change is made to °C/°F temperature or
FAST/NORMAL sampling rate, or if the probe sensor is plugged in or removed.
Note: HI/LO temperature alarm settings and MIN/MAX memories will be cleared
after resetting the unit.
11
Displaying °F or °C
To display the temperature readings in Fahrenheit (°F) or Celsius (°C), slide the switch on the back of the unit

and to ambient temp if the sensor probe is removed.
ALARM DISPLAY MODE - is indicated by the display of
current temperature and the HI and LO alarm settings.
These temperatures relate to internal (probe) temperature
if the probe is plugged in, and to ambient temperature if
the sensor probe is removed.

possible maintenance and to provide optimal energy consumption and serviceability. It is recommended,
however, that the unit be k ept clean and that the following preventative mai ntenance be performed.
CABINET CLEANING
• Turn off the power, unplug the appliance, and remove all items, including shelves and shelf clips.
• When cleaning cabinet interior, use a solution of warm water and mild soap.
• Do not use steel wool, caustic or abrasive cleaners or bleach that may damage the stainless surface.
• Once the cabinet interior is clean, dry it with a clean, dry cloth.
• Wipe the door gasket with a solution of warm soapy water, then dry with a clean soft cloth.
• Wash the shelves with a mild detergent solution, then dry them.
• Wring excess water out of t he s pon ge or c lot h when c l ean ing t he are a where the controls are located,

CLEANING THE COMPRESSOR / FAN COMPARTMENT
DISCONNECT THE UNIT’S POWER SUPP LY BEF ORE
Front louvers
The compressor and fan are located behind the front louvers of the appliance.
To clean the compartment behind the front louvers,
1. Disconnect the power supply to the appliance.

5. Replace the louver panel and screw it back into place.
6. Reconnect power to the appliance.
DEFROSTING
It is not necessary to defrost your refrigerator. This is done automatically, using a forced-air system.
There is a defr os t water e v aporat io n p an i n t he c ompartment below t he main cabinet. A hot g as line from
the compressor pas ses through this pan and evaporates the water. C heck occasionally that the drain
hose is always inside the evaporation pan.

•DO NOT DISCONNECT UNIT AT NIGHT. Not only will contents most likely suffer damage, but
reconnecting next day will increase energy consumption.
• DO NOT keep the door open any longer than necessary.
• DO NOT OVERLOAD UNIT. Allow free air flow inside refrigerator.
• DO NOT PLACE HEAVY AND/OR LARGE OBJECTS INSIDE UNIT.
• It is important not to block air flow inside the refrigerator. Remember that it is designed exclusively for
cooling vaccines, pharmaceuticals and other medical specimens.
•The appliance should be located in the coolest area of the room, away from heat-producing
appliances and out of direct sunlight.
• Ensure that the unit is adequately ventilated. Never cover air vents.
• DO NOT PLACE FOODS IN REFRIGERATOR. Not only will you risk contamination of medical
products, but the forced air system will absorb moisture from the food.
