Observance of the instructions contained in this manual will allow you to carry out use, transport and maintenance operations safely, while guaranteeing optimal scooter operation and reduced running costs. The company Suex s.r.l. is not liable for damage resulting from negligence on behalf of the user or from failure to observe these
instructions.
The manufacturer, SUEX s.r.l., declares that:
The XK 1 Advanced Diving Vehicle (henceforth called “ADV”) shall be delivered to
the buyer in perfect working condition, complete with its use and maintenance manual;
any person attempting to use the ADV shall be deemed to have undergone specific
training in the use of similar diving scooters and to have obtained the necessary certification issued by a qualified agency;
any person attempting to use the ADV shall be deemed to have read the use and
maintenance manual provided, and hence the instructions contained within, in particular:
how to use the ADV, with details regarding the diver’s correct equipment
configuration, the diver’s posture during use, the position that must be maintained by the ADV during the dive, and that the ADV must not be bound with systems hard to release to its user in any way whatsoever.
the environmental conditions where use of the ADV is especially dangerous, such
as deep-water dives, obstructed/overhead environments, muddy or suspension­filled environments; the special precautions to be adopted when dives are effected in such environments and the need of having undergone suitable training held by qualified agencies;
dangerous behaviour that is to be avoided such as, for example, use of the ADV to
accelerate the descent or ascent rate;
it is therefore assumed that the user has been fully informed on how to use and
maintain the product as well as of its technical characteristics, and that he shall scrupulously abide by these rules.
It hence follows that any damage to persons or objects, deriving from incorrect
maintenance of the ADV or from its use other than as stipulated by this manual or without the precautions described within, cannot be attributed to defects of the product.

The company SUEX S.r.l. is not liable for losses or damages suffered by third persons consequent to the use of this ADV.
The ADV is not a toy, nor a suitable rescue means. Its exclusive function is to help expert diversduring the dive to cover greater distances than could be normally covered with fins only. The ADV and all its components, specifically the battery and battery charger, are intended for adult and expert use after carefully reading these instructions. In order to prevent any harm to things or individuals, the user of the battery and battery charger supplied with our diving scooters must first read the use and maintenance manual and strictly observe the indications on correct use and product features, preventing
inexpert personnel or minors from handling, even inadvertently, the ADV and supplied instruments.
Our ADV are equipped with a “cut off” device that protects internal components, impeding operations when voltage is too low. When this device is triggered, it inevitably, shuts off. The diver should always plan a scooter dive keeping in mind that he must always be able to safely accomplish the dive even without the propulsion power of the ADV as it could happen when the battery is discharged or the ADV fails for any othe reason. SUEX S.r.l. is not liable for any damages to persons and/or property caused by use other than that described in this manual and in neglect of the precautions described herein. Due to constant technological developments, SUEX S.r.l. diving scooters may be modified at any time without prior notice.
This manual is not a substitute manual for an adequate course held by certified agencies on the correct use of ADV on dives.
Use of the ADV under the influence of alcohol and drugs and in any situation in which psycho-physical conditions are not suited for diving is prohibited.

2 DESCRIPTION AND OPERATING PRINCIPLE
The ADV consists of a perfectly watertight, streamlined, hollow body, see figure 1, inside which the electric motor, rechargeable batteries and speed-reduction gear are housed. On the outside, two manoeuvring handles (1) are found at the rear, one of which has an integrated trigger (2) to control propeller rotation by means of a magnetic reed switch (3). At the front, a handle (4) is used for gripping and carrying the scooter. The propeller (10) is located at the rear end and is protected by a shroud which constitutes the flow conveyor (5). The main switch (6) for turning the power on and off and the speed regulator knob (7) are also found at the rear. In front is situated the nosecone (8). By opening it we can access to the battery compartment, the fastening knob (9) is inserted in the nosecone.

3 USING THE SCOOTER
The ADV manufactured by SUEX s.r.l. is a scooter that has been designed and constructed for dive transportation purposes. Customers and third parties are forbidden from carrying out any alterations that may substantially modify its intended purpose.
The scooter has been designed, sized and constructed for the sole purpose described above. Any other use or operation that does not comply or agree with the instructions contained in this manual, may result in damage to the scooter. This would prevent the conditions for which it
has been designed and built from being achieved, and may compromise its technical and safety characteristics. The manufacturer shall not be liable for damage to persons and/or objects deriving from inappropriate use of the scooter.

4 PRELIMINARY OPERATIONS

4.1 OPENING THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT
Put the ADV in vertical position on the shroud (5) on a flat surface. Turn the front fastening knob (9) counter-clockwise. When rotating the knob the nosecone (8) (see fig. 1) start to lift. Continue rotating until the nosecone detaches from the body. Remove the nosecone.

4.2 EXTRACTING THE BATTERY

After removing the nosecone, put the ADV in a vertical position, unscrew the ring nuts (11), remove the plate (12) and the drop-trap (12a), unscrew the ring nuts (11a) (see fig. 2) and extract the battery (14) pulling it upwards off the rods (13), at the end disconnect the red connector (15) avoiding to pull the wires. (see fig. 2 and 3).

4.3 RECHARGING THE BATTERY
In order to recharge the battery (14), extract the battery out of the ADV (see fig. 4), put it in a safe place away from people and flammable objects. Unscrew the charger connector cap (24) and plug the charger connector into the battery charge socket(26) (see battery charger instructions). Next connect the battery charger power cord to the mains. When the battery is fully charged, disconnect the charger, close the connector (26) cap (24) and put the battery back into the ADV.

4.4 INSERTING THE BATTERY
With the ADV in vertical position, repeat the battery extraction procedure in the reverse order, being careful to insert the battery in the same orientation. (see fig. 5)

4.5 CLOSING THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT
Put the ADV in a vertical position on the shroud. Check carefully that the nosecone O-ring (19), (see fig. 6) is properly seated, clean and properly greased with vaseline oil. Check that the seat of the body (20), is clean. If necessary properly clean it with a suitable cloth to remove any dust or sand. Insert the nosecone(8) matching the screw (18)up with the hole (17). Finger-fasten the knob (9) clockwise until it closes completely.

5 CORRECT USE
After the preliminary operations, proceed as follows to start the ADV: Always make sure the switch (6) is in Off position, submerge the ADV under water and make sure nothing is caught between the propeller blades. If something is found between the propeller blades, remove the ADV from the water and free the propeller blades of the foreign object. Be extremely carefully since using hands or other parts of the body
between the propeller blades is potentially hazardous, even if a safety clutch is installed between the propeller and engine. For this reason, avoid introducing your hands in the propeller area and, if necessary for cleaning purposes or to remove foreign objects, use or stick or other suitable tool.

Turn the switch (6) (see fig. 1) fully clockwise without forcing it. Grasp the two ADV handles (1) (fig. 1) or, if using the tow cord, hook the bolt-snap to the crotch strap of your harness. Pull the trigger (2) until the engine starts. To stop the engine, release the trigger (2). To change propeller rpm, use the knob (7), rotate it clockwise to drive the ADV slowly, rotate it counter-clockwise to drive the ADV faster. This latter operation can be conducted at any time, even underwater. When the ADV is not in use, turn the switch (6) off counter-clockwise.
IF YOU ARE NOT USING THE TOW CORD, DO NOT DRIVE THE ADV SINGLE­HANDED. YOU MAY RISK LOSING CONTROL.
WARNING: when you pull the trigger, the propeller starts to rotate and the ADV starts to move.
6 BATTERY GAUGE
At the turning on of the ADV system it’s carried a check of the electronic transmission, and after two complete ignitions with a rotation of the 9 LED lights, remain on one led every 10% of battery loaded. 9 leds on: battery charge from 90% to 100% 8 leds on: battery charge from 80% to 90% 7 leds on: battery charge from 70% to 80% end so on…
NOTE: SUEX is not liable for the failed operation or erroneous evaluation of residual battery charge which led to the incorrect assessment of ADV autonomy. THE ADV IS NOT A LIFE-SAVING DEVICE!

7 ADV DIVING SETTINGS
The ADV should have NEUTRAL buoyancy and be practically horizontal (neutral trim) meaning it should not sink but remain stable at the desired depth. The scooter is supplied neutrally buoyant or slightly float in fresh water. Additional weights (23), are provided to compensate for differences between use in fresh or sea water (see fig. 7) consisting in a stainless steel cilinders that should be included or removed according to whether the ADV is used in fresh water (NOT USED) or seawater (USED).

7.1 INSERTING THE BALLAST
Proceed as follows to insert the ballast (23): (see fig. 7) Open the scooter and extract the battery (see previous chapters). Insert each piece of the ballast (23) and finger-tight it in the proper threaded hole. Insert the battery and close the scooter as described in previous chapter, being careful to connect the red connector only if you have to immediately use the ADV.

7.2 SETTINGS AND TRIM ADJUSTMENTS
According to salinity or water temperature, you may need to adjust the buoyancy or trim settings (trim is the ADV longitudinal axis inclination). As for buoyancy, the ADV is produced to slightly float in both fresh water (without using the ballast 23) and sea water (using the ballast 23). As for trim, you can change factory settings by moving the battery along the rods (13) (see fig.7). Remove the battery, loosen the nut (21) with a 4 mm Allen key, unscrew or screw in the ring nut (22); screwing it in, the ADV tends to position itself with the rear sinking, unscrewing it causes the opposite. Screw in the nut (21) without overtightening, replace the battery and try the ADV in the water until the desired settings are reached.
8 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
8.1 INDICATOR LABEL
The following indicator label is found on the scooter. It should not be removed, tampered with or destroyed. The user of the scooter shall be responsible for replacing any worn out or illegible label with a new one, it must be requested to our after-sales service. SUEX S.r.l. will not be liable for damages and accidents happened in consequence of behaviors in contradiction to the indications in it reported.

8.2 TRAINING
The ADV may be used by any diver but it is assumed that whoever is diving with the scooter has obtained the necessary certification issued by qualified certification agency. At any rate, use of the ADV implies that the user has undergone specific training that permits him to use the scooter safely and to fully appreciate its potential. Do not forget that the greatest danger is constituted by the underwater environment being explored.
8.3 EQUIPMENT CONFIGURATION AND RIDING POSITION
SUEX S.r.l. diving scooters are TOW BEHIND style
(as opposed to a “ride-on-top” which must be straddled) and ideally the diver should be towed behind the ADV.
READ CAREFULLY! The ADV should not be improperly bound to the diver. The user should be able to abandon the ADV at all times and with extreme ease. The ADV must be connected to the diver by a cord and quick-release carabineer. The diver should always carry a sharp knife on dives to manage emergency situations including that of cutting the cord and abandoning the scooter.
Proper ways to connect the ADV to the diver. The tow cord should be suitable dimensioned. Use of a 4 – 6 mm cord made of non­decaying synthetic material, in good working order and with at least 100 kg haulage capacity is considered correct. The carabineer must be made of rustproof material in good working conditions and equipped with an easy to grasp opening device. It must also be usable with gloves. The carabineer should be connected to the harness or “D” ring of the technical buoyancy compensators.

Improper ways to connect the ADV to the diver. These include cords with knots, chains and elastic cords, to name a few, that do not allow the scooter to be immediately abandoned in the event of emergency!
Correct way to connect the tow cord to the scooter. The tow cord should be connected to the ADV through the two holes near the handle on the shroud. See the following illustrations.

Diver position Fig. 8 illustrates a driver in technical configuration with the ADV correctly positioned. Other positions are admitted but considerably reduce drive efficiency. Tow cord length is extremely important for good towing efficiency. The right arm should remain slightly bent, drive the scooter by pointing it in the direction to be followed but never hold the ADV which exerts all drive force on the tow cord. If you prefer not to use the tow cord, both handles must be used. This type of use does not permit high speeds since resistance is higher with consequent arm fatigue. The diver’s position during the dive must be more or less horizontal (posture and buoyancy always derive from correct equipment configuration and adequate training). This ensures safety, longer running times, speed and riding comfort.
Be especially careful when setting out your equipment especially as regards: hoses, regulators, pony bottles, pressure gauges, audible alarms, flashlights and pertinent cables, reels, etc., making sure they do not dangle and that they cannot come into contact with the propeller or entangle themselves on the bottom or on your buddy, creating
possibly serious hazard situations. Correct equipment configuration is a crucial factor for safe diving in general and
becomes vital when diving with the ADV. As a rule, the type and position of the diving equipment should guarantee perfect streamlining and no elements should protrude or be left dangling.

9 USING THE ADV DIVING SCOOTER
Underwater diving is a potentially dangerous activity and incorrect use of the ADV further increases the hazards of the dive itself. Before use, make sure the battery is charged, that connectors are connected and that no electrical parts are rusted. Check that the head cap is closed properly, check its condition, especially following accidental bumps, or accidental scratches, and make sure that the trigger and main switch are functioning correctly. At this point the ADV is ready for use. After entering the water and submerging the ADV, the main switch must be switched on by rotating it.
The main switch must be turned to running mode only when the ADV is
in water. Rotating the propeller out of the water may be dangerous and
damage the seal of the motor shaft.
Once in the water, the propeller is activated by pulling the trigger incorporated on the right manoeuvring handle towards you. Releasing the trigger will stop propeller rotation. Speed can be regulated slow or fast, see the previous paragraph fig. 7.
10 ENTERING THE WATER WITH THE ADV
Entering the water is one of the most delicate moments in the dive. Various factors like the change in temperature, use of scuba equipment, the weight of the equipment and other difficulties make the addition of the ADV an inevitable added task loading.
Before turning on or using the ADV, make sure that all the equipment you use for the dive is correctly positioned and in good working order. Only use the ADV after completing these checks. Incorrect dive preparation is highly dangerous and, in some situations, the ADV may represent an additional hazard. Pay particular attention when entering rough sea since waves could lift and launch the ADV against you with even fatal consequences.
11 EXITING THE WATER WITH THE ADV
Exiting the water is another delicate moment in the dive and, here too,
the addition of the ADV could be an extra task loading.
According to where you started the dive, always make sure the ADV is
the last piece of equipment to recovery. Always put your safety first.
Pay particular attention when exiting rough sea since waves could lift and launch the ADV against you with even fatal consequences.

12 “PARKING” THE ADV UNDERWATER
When diving you may need to “park” the ADV to continue the dive with
fins only, recovering the ADV later. We strongly recommend to turn the
switch in OFF position and leave the ADV far from areas with currents
that could cause the ADV to collide with rock walls, the sea bottom or
boats. Violent collisions could compromise the ADV’s hermetic seal and irreparably damage it. During decompression stops, be careful the ADV does not cause uncontrolled depth variations, turning it off and leaving it at your side.
DO NOT USE THE ADV TO MAINTAIN THE DECOMPRESSION DEPTH STOP!
13 DESCENT RATE
The ADV allows you to accomplish a fast descent rate. AVOID using it to accelerate your descent since problems related to equalising and psychological/physical adjustment are increased.
14 ASCENT RATE
The ADV MUST NEVER BE USED FOR VERTICAL ASCENTS. In fact,
using it in such a manner may result in an excessively rapid ascent
WHICH IS POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS. Hence it is better to
DEACTIVATE IT BY TURNING THE MAIN SWITCH TO THE OFF
POSITION, position it out of the way, and ascend normally.
15 FREEDIVING USE OF THE ADV
Freediving is highly dangerous activit itself. The use of the ADV in apnea could cause serious accidents. Always be certain and aware of your capabilities. Adequate training courses are essential for your safety.

The dive is already VERY DANGEROUS at that depth. INCORRECT USE OF THE ADV IN SUCH ENVIRONMENTS INCREASES DIVING HAZARDS.
It is important to remember that maximum ADV operating depth refers to the ADV in perfect working conditions. Collisions, scratches or deformations significantly reduce this limit.
16.1 OBSTRUCTED ENVIRONMENTS
Dives in such environments are already VERY DANGEROUS. INCORRECT USE OF THE ADV IN SUCH ENVIRONMENTS INCREASES THE DIVING HAZARDS. DIVING IN SUCH ENVIRONMENTS RE QUIRES ADEQUATE TRAINING BY QUALIFIED AGENCIES
16.2 MUDDY OR SUSPENSION-FILLED ENVIRONMENTS
These include those environments, obstructed or otherwise, in which visibility may suddenly fall to zero due to the suspension that is created by moving the bed sediment. Dives in these environments are already VERY DANGEROUS. INCORRECT USE OF
THE ADV IN SUCH ENVIRONMENTS INCREASES THE DIVING HAZARDS. DIVING IN SUCH ENVIRONMENTS REQUIRES ADEQUATE TRAINING BY QUALIFIED AGENCIES.
17 POSITIONS AND BEHAVIOURS TO BE AVOIDED WHEN DIVING
The diver’s head or other body parts should never be beyond the propeller conveyor (5) (see fig. 1) where flow is suctioned. Do not direct the flow from the conveyor at you. This thwarts the propulsion drive and could move your equipment away from you.
Do not ride the ADV. Do not attach the ADV to your tanks or their supports in any way. Do not attach the ADV to your body, legs, arms or other parts in any way. Do not use more than one ADV simultaneously. Do not start the ADV with body parts other than your right hand. When using the ADV, always keep your left hand far from the propeller, better is resting against your body, on your side, or on your right hand to more comfortably control the ADV. Do not direct propeller flow at the sea bottom to avoid raising sand or mud.

18 HAZARDOUS AREA AND RESIDUAL RISKS
The propeller is protected by a shroud. Therefore it is exposed on both the suction and expulsion sides. Additional protections were not installed in these areas since they would significantly reduce fluid passage in the conduit, drastically reducing propulsion system performance and thus scooter autonomy. A protection grill on the flow suction side can be easily clogged when near aquatic plants or algae normally suspended in the water, forcing the diver to frequently stop to clean the grill which is not always possible in safety conditions underwater. A grill placed on the flow output side would prevent any cords or lines caught in the propeller to be removed, inhibiting ADV operations. This would frequently distract the diver and cause him to forget that the greater hazard is represented by the surrounding environment and diverting the his main focus away from the dive. For the above reasons and, considering that the propeller is protected by a safety clutch, we believe that the natural behaviour of being careful not to place hands or other body parts between propeller blades is safer for the diver (who in correct use, is always behind the propeller) than being distracted by cleaning and untangling any objects from the grills around the propeller.
Entanglement and cut hazards Do not insert any object or body part inside the flow duct, that could obstruct the rotating propeller blades. When in use, besides the hand on the trigger, a safety distance of at least 40 cm must be maintained between the diver’s body and the propeller assembly.
A CAP OR OTHER HAIR RESTRICTION DEVICE MUST BE WORN BY DIVERS WITH LONG HAIR. LONG HAIR MAY BECOME ENTANGLE IN THE PROPELLER IN THE EVENT OF IMPROPER USE. ALSO BE CAREFUL OF ANY OBJECTS SUCH AS FISHING LINES, DIVING EQUIPMENT, FLOATING TOYS OR ANYTHING ELSE THAT MAY COME NEAR THE PROPELLER.
PROTECTIVE GLOVES MUST ALWAYS BE WORN
Crushing risk
Be careful not to place fingers between the two parts when closing the maid body or head cap.
NEVER LEAVE THE ADV UNATTENDED ESPECIALLY NEAR CHILDREN OR AMATEURS. ALWAYS TURN IT OFF BEFORE EXITING THE WATER AND DISCONNECT THE BATTERY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE (see previous chapters).

18.1 SAFETY DEVICE
A torque-limiting device is installed between the motor and the propeller. When the resistance felt by the propeller exceeds a certain torque, this device is triggered, preventing the propeller from rotating.
The device will generate a rhythmic sound signalling its insertion. If this situation occurs, release the trigger immediately, switch off the power by means of the main switch and free the propeller of the foreign body. Do not leave the torque-limiting device inserted for more than 10
seconds. It has been conceived for emergency purposes and may be damaged by prolonged use. If conditions allow you to remove the foreign body safely during the dive, then do so. Otherwise let go of the ADV. Do not lubricate the safety device.
19 ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL SAFETY SYSTEMS APPLIED TO
THE
ADV XK 1
In order to insure maximum diver safety when using the ADC, various solutions were implemented to eliminate possible fault risks or potential injury.
19.1 ELECTRONIC ENGINE CONTROL
The electronic engine control board includes:
A short circuit emergency fuse (on replaceable at authorized service centres); Temperature sensor (slows propeller rotation to a stop. The system automatically
restarts when the engine is cool);
Maximum absorbed current sensor (maximum current that can be absorbed by the
electrical engine, fully automatic, to protect electronic parts);
Engine ignition sensor without mechanical contacts (the sensor is not a reed or
mechanical type but inductive).
19.2 ELECTRONIC BATTERY CONTROL
The battery includes: An emergency thermostat (if a battery charger fault occurs that overload the battery when charging, the thermostat prevents battery overheating by cutting off the charge) Cut off (in the event of depletion, it eliminates electric absorption cutting off the power supply. It is restored when the battery is charged) Overcharge. (If a battery charger fault occurs that overload the battery when charging). Short circuits protection. Every cells has an electronic protection system against the accidental short circuit, in any case DO NOT SHORT CIRCUIT THE BATTERY,

19.3 SWITCH
This ADV comes with a switch the cuts off the battery from the electronic engine control. Using the switch limits accidental ignition which may not occur in any case if the switch is in the OFF position.
19.4 MECHANICAL CLUTCH ON THE PROPELLER
See chapter 18.1
19.5 Trigger guard
The trigger is isolated by a guard that forces the diver to insert a finger in the ignition area to press the trigger and start the ADV.
20 RUNNING TIME
Running time data is indicative and is nevertheless referred to use:
- with a scooter in perfect running order;
- in moderate environments;
- in the absence of currents;
- with an average load (diver with a double tank 12+12 liters);
- in perfect buoyancy conditions. As a rule, the running time should be calculated to cover the descent and ascent. An EMERGENCY running time, which will vary according to the type of dive, must also be established.
In any case, when planning a dive you MUST consider the event of returning to the exit point without the ADV.
21 SPEED
Speed depends on the same factors as running time. The speed chosen should be compatible with the type of dive and be adjusted to match that of your buddies.
22 PRECAUTIONS FOR USE

- Do not expose the ADV to solar radiations, closed into the car under the sun, or
exposed to excessive heat (max 50°C). Overheating and successive deformation may occur, to the prejudice of the water tightness of mating surfaces.
- Avoid bumps during the dive;
- Do not direct the ADV toward other divers;
- Do not use it as a stool;
- Do not stand up on it;
- Do not have it used by children or untrained people;
- Do not transport it dismantled or open;
- Do not attempt to stop the propeller with your hands;
- Do not block the starter trigger when the switch is turned to on;
- Do not throw it off a boat or the shore;
- Do not tow it with motor boats;
- Do not dismantle it;
- Do not run it dry above water;
- Do not wet electrical contacts;
- Do not short-circuit the battery;
- Do not charge the batteries with a battery charger other than the one supplied;
- Do not start the ADV when holding the propeller or with objects between the blades;
- Do not remove wires from the connector or invert polarity;
- Do not get internal ADV parts and batteries wet.

23 TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE - TREATMENT
The ADV does not run. When the trigger is activated the propeller does not turn.
Open the ADV, check that the batteries are charged and that the connectors are inserted and undamaged, then try
again. Although the battery pack has been charged and the connectors are inserted the ADV does not run.
The control system may be damaged - must be checked.*
The motor may be damaged - must be replaced.*
The battery pack may be damaged - must be replaced. The speed regulator doesn’t work.
The control system may be damaged - must be replaced.* The ADV’s running time is visibly diminished. The batteries need to be replaced.
The battery charger is broken or does not work well - must
be replaced. When the main switch is on, the ADV runs continuously with no chance of stopping it.
The control card is damaged - must be replaced.* The motor is noisy. The ADV needs to be serviced.* Vibrations are felt when the propeller rotates.
The propeller is damaged - must be replaced.
The drive system is damaged - needs to be serviced.* The ADV floods very slowly.
Replace all the O-rings and carefully check that the seating
surfaces are not damaged. The control trigger sticks and the ADV remains running.
Shut off the ADV, try to slide the starting piston, driven by
the trigger, to get out any foreign bodies, try to start again.
If the ADV continues to work, the starting system must be
verified, probably it was damaged by a shock. There are oil stains on the conic end of the case near the
propeller or it is visibly greasy.
The external propeller shaft seal is damaged and requires
maintenance. The second internal seal prevents flooding
but you should suspend ADV use and replace the gaskets.

24 KEY DISPLAY
The four digit display on the upper cover of the battery shows the percentage of remaining battery power, for example : Display 100 = 100% of the charge Display 70 = 70% of the charge In addition to the percentage of charge remaining, it displays also the error codes. 25 ADV FLOODING, SINKING
This could occur especially due to improper use, a collision, incorrect closing or inefficient maintenance. In the event of flooding, the scooter will start to tilt downward and thus sink.
In the event of total flooding, the situation could become POTENTIALLY HAZARDOUS since the ADV will start to SINK, DRAGGING YOU DOWN and therefore the scooter MUST BE IMMEDIATELY ABANDONED.
26 CLEANING AND STORAGE
After use, the ADV must be rinsed thoroughly with fresh water. A neutral detergent may be used for more stubborn dirt. Before opening the ADV, it is important to remove all traces of salt. In particular, the magnetic reed connected to the trigger must be cleaned thoroughly and all grit and sand particles removed.
Do not use any solvents or petroleum-based products. The ADV must be stored in a cool, clean, and ventilated place, in an upright position with the nose facing upwards. The battery must be removed, charged and stored away from frosty conditions or excessive heat. Make sure that the connectors do not come into contact with metal objects inside the ADV or the battery will be shorted. The wheel for
opening the head cap must be loosened such that the gasket is in view.
Important note: always remove the battery after the use.

27 MAINTENANCE
Lubrication of head cap O-ring case
Open the ADV, gently remove the lock O-ring (19) (see fig. 6) being careful not to scratch the O-ring support surfaces, and clean the seating thoroughly (only by means of a clean brush or soft cloth). Do not use any type of solvent or alcohol. Apply vaseline oil to the O­ring and return it to its place. Do not use any other type of oil!!! Occasionally, lubricate the lock knob screw with normal mineral grease. Never lubricate trigger or magnetic piston movement. They would fill of sand and dirt. Do not lubricate electrical contacts!
Closing knob gasket maintenance
Whenever the closing knob (9) (see fig. 1) comes into contact with sand, rinse with running water before rotating it. About every 50 uses, remove it, using pliers, clean the gaskets and lubricate with vaseline oil, If you are not familiar with this operation, contact an authorized service centre.
Aluminium body maintenance
The aluminium body was protection with a special hard anodized so that it is immune to normal saline corrosion. When collisions or incorrect use ruin this protection, the body material, aluminium, comes into contact with water and this could be a source of corrosion, especially in salt water. If the protection is damaged, be careful to rinse the ADV, leaving it in fresh water for at least 15 minutes.
NOTE: leaving the ADV exposed to the sun for long periods of time could damage the colour creating lighter or grey areas. This situation does not compromise the oxidation protection since it is only an aesthetic effect. Some longitudinal lines observable on the aluminium body are perfectly normal, they depends from the material and are not mark of defect or material stress. Please remember that surface deterioration is considered normal wear and is not covered by the warranty.
Supplementary maintenance
Every hundred hours of use or at least every two years, we recommend you overhaul the ADV checking hydraulic seals and electrical circuits. SUEX S.r.l. fully overhauls your ADV with shipping throughout the world.
NOTE: using spray lubricants, it is important to air the inside of the ADV.
In this way the propelling gas go away, for the most part are
inflammable!

28 DISPOSAL AND SCRAPPING
This apparatus is partly constructed with recyclable materials. When the ADV can no longer be used safely or when the service centre deems it no longer suitable for use, the ADV must be scrapped. The ADV must be disassembled and divided into distinct parts. Plastic parts must be deposited in the relative plastic waste containers and metal parts must be taken to a collection centre for metal waste.
Special care must be taken when disposing of battery
packs, which are highly polluting to the environment.
Batteries must be taken to a collection centre for spent
batteries.
PLEASE SAFEGUARD YOUR SURROUNDINGS!! ALL SCOOTER PARTS AND THE BATTERY PACKS IN PARTICULAR SHOULD BE DISPOSED OF ACCORDING TO LOCAL DISPOSAL REGULATIONS!
29 HANDLING
In every transport condition, the
ADV must be always closed.
The scooter has been conceived for use in water environments. When transporting it or loading it onto a car, some precautions need to be taken due to its shape and weight. Lift it holding a flow conduit support and front handle. Whilst transporting it by car or by boat, make sure it is blocked in a secure position. If not blocked it could easy roll and cause damages to property and personal injury. The use of the support cod. 70068 is advised (see Suex accessories). Do not position the ADV at the front of boats or dinghies or in positions where it would be subjected to harsh jolting the inner parts may be damaged. When the ADV is laid on the ground, always do so gently, and when it is placed in the upright position, rest it on the propeller guard. Always make sure that the surface is flat and that nothing comes into contact with the propeller. If you prefer to grip the ADV from the maneuvering handles, do so, but do not overstress them - they were not designed to bear excessive loads. Do not carry the entire weight of the ADV on only one handle.

30 STORAGE
If you do not plan to use the ADV for long periods of time (over two months) please follow the instructions below for correct storage.
Carefully rinse the ADV with fresh water and wash with a neutral detergent if
necessary;
Fully dry the ADV; Open the ADV and remove the battery; Remove the body gasket OR; Accurately clean the OR and its housing; Insert the OR in the body (to avoid losing it); Close the ADV without tightening the knob; Place the ADV in a dry, dark place away from children; Place the battery in a dry place at a temperature between 10° and 30° C;
Charge the battery at least once every 3 months.
When you resume the ADV for use, follow the instruction in chapter “Preliminary operations” Note: remember to replace the body OR adequately lubricated with vaseline oil before use.

33 BATTERY CHARGE (GENERAL RULES)
CAREFULLY READ THE BATTERY CHARGER INSTRUCTIONS MANUAL; The battery should only be charged with the specifically supplied battery
charger;
Charge the battery in a well-ventilated, covered area, away from flammable;
objects or liquids, away from crowded rooms and in no way at home;
The battery must be connected to the charger using the specific connector; REMOVE THE BATTERY from the ADV and wait at least two hours from the
last use before charging;
Do not connect any device to the battery when charging;
The battery should be kept off the ADV and only inserted and connected to
the engine immediately before use: it should be disconnected and removed immediately after use.
34 HOW TO CORRECTLY CHARGE THE BATTERY
Remove the battery from the ADV; Place it in a protected, well-ventilated area away from people and flammable
materials;
FIRST connect the charge connector to the battery charger socket (varies
according to the model);
NEXT connect the charger to the mains;  Wait until the charge ends (see battery charger instructions); Wait until the battery cools. In any case, replace the battery in the ADV before use.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CHARGE DAMAGED, LEAKING, RUSTED OR OTHERWISE DAMAGED BATTERIES. SUEX S.r.l. IS AVAILABLE FOR ANY NECESSARY TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE.
35 LI ION BATTERY INFORMATION
The Li-ion battery pack is made of several cells connected together and placed inside a suitable container. The red connector is to connect the battery to the motor, the connector on top the upper battery lid is the charge port.. If a perceptible drop in distributed power is noticed during ADV use, immediately stop use and turn off using the switch.

NEVER leave the battery connected to the ADV when not in use. Charge the battery at least every 3 months. Charge the battery before each use, letting the battery cool before inserting it in the ADV. A new battery will only work at full regime after some complete charge cycles. The battery may be charged hundreds of times, but deteriorates in time. When autonomy is significantly lower than normal, it is time to replace it. Only use Suex srl approved batteries, exclusively charging them with their approved battery chargers. When the battery charger is not in use, disconnect it from the power socket. Even when not in use, a fully charged battery slowly discharges due to the self-discharge phenomenon; charging the batteries within 24 hours of use is recommended. Extreme temperatures may affect battery charge capacity. Leaving the battery in hot or cold climates such as, for example, a closed car in mid­summer or mid-winter, reduces battery capacity and life. Always try to keep batteries at a temperature between 10°C and 40°C. The maximum cherging temperature range is between -20°C to +60°C.
89DO NOT THROW BATTERIES IN FIRES, THEY EXPLODE!
Do not use the battery for purposes other than those prescribed. Never use damaged battery chargers or batteries. Accumulators must be kept outside the ADV, in dry locations, (relative
humidity 65% +-5%) and at a temperature between 15°C and 25°C, with the electric connectors away from metallic objects that can short circuit the two battery poles, with serious fire hazard, damages to people and property. Do not wet electrical contacts or the battery. Dispose of batteries observing local regulations such as, for example, recycling them. Do not dispose of batteries with domestic waste.

36 IDEAL BATTERY CHARGING CONDITIONS
Suggest room temperature from 10°C to 35°C (ideal 20°C) Battery temperature at charge start 20°C. Conditions other than those described above may influence charging as well as the number of possible charges with acceptable yield.
37 IDEAL BATTERY DEPLETION CONDITIONS
We recommend using discharging batteries at a temperature between 10°C and 40°C.

To avoid short-term deterioration, the battery should never, in any case, fully deplete. A cut off device was installed in the battery for this reason (see specific paragraph). During ADV use, it is best not to constantly drive at maximum speed suspending frequent starts, making brief pauses, to give the battery time to better conduct the chemical reaction required to generate power, avoiding abrupt cell heating.
37.1 IMPORTANT NOTE ON BATTERY DEPLETION!
After ADV use, always remember to cut off motor power using the switch. This is because the ADV electronic control, even if the motor is not running, consumes a small amount of energy which, in the long term, depletes the battery.
38 “CUT OFF” BATTERY PROTECTION SYSTEM, OPERATING
PRINCIPLE AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
The electronic battery protection system from total accidental depletion is located inside the battery and connected in sequence between the battery and ADV motor. Its purpose is to prevent excessive cell depletion that could lead to the polarity inversion of one or more cells, with consequent potential battery destruction and possible damages, even serious, to property and/or people. When accumulators deplete, voltage lowers until it reaches a limit value. When this value is reached, cut off prevents the battery from further depleting by interrupting power distribution. When the cut off is triggered, the battery no longer outputs voltage to the connector. To continue battery use, it must only be charged with the specific battery charger (see battery charger instruction manual) and restore the circuit. The cut off device should only trigger in exceptional cases and this event should not occur during normal battery use since correct use does not include excessive depletion.

38.1 PROCEDURE TO FOLLOW IN THE EVENT THE CUT OFF DEVICE
IS TRIGGERED
In the event the cut off system triggers, IT IS IMPORTANT you proceed as follows:
1. Follow the ADV opening procedure;
2. Disconnect the motor battery power connector;
3. Remove the battery from the ADV;
4. Let the battery rest for at least 2 hours. This is the minimum time required, in this case, for the battery to cool and return to awaiting charge conditions;
5. Connect the battery charge connector to the battery charger;
6. Charge following the instructions in the battery charger manual.
IMPORTANT NOTE! Always remember that the ADV inevitably stops running when the cut off device is triggered. This event is not hazardous to the diver in any way since the dive was planned taking into account that ADV use is not considered a safety device or rescue means.
SUEX S.r.l. is not liable after the cut off system triggers, in any situation, in
hazardous situations or immersions where the driver (at his full risk) confided on surfacing by using our manufactured underwater scooter. Please remember that the ADV must be considered as an immersion aid and not as a rescue vehicle.
39 LITHIUM ION BATTERY, SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS:
All the recommendations contained in this document must be strictly applied in order to ensure a safe and optimal use of the battery. Misuse of the battery may lead to overheat or ignite and cause serious injury. Make sure to follow the safety rules listed below:
- Never short circuit the battery terminals;
- Do not open the battery;
- Do not reverse the polarity;
- Do not disassemble the battery;
- Do not subject the battery to excessive mechanical stresses;
- Do not expose the battery to water or condensation;
- Do not place the battery on or near fires, or other high temperature locations (> 70°C); Doing so may cause the battery to overheat or ignite. Using the battery in this manner may also result in a loss of performance and a shortened life expectancy;
- Immediately disconnect the battery if, during operation, battery emits an unusual smell, feels hot, changes shape, or appears abnormal in any other way;
Contact SUEX if any of these problems are observed.

40 BATTERY STORAGE
During all significant storage periods, a battery must preferably be disconnected from any external load, unless it is proved that the device is in switch off mode and doesn’t draw any leakage current from the battery. Charge the battery pack at least every two months.
41 TRANSPORTATION
According to the transport regulation, Li-Ion batteries can be transported with specific packaging. Lithium batteries can be dangerous and cause fire if not properly shipped. Therefore, the battery is required to pass section 38.3 of the UN Manual of Tests and Criteria, to ensure the safety of lithium batteries during shipping. Product classification shipment by air “only Air cargo”. Restricted for transportation (Class 9). The UN number for shipping Li-Ion batteries is UN3480 (when transported alone). Please refer to the IATA packing instruction 965 for shipping UN3480 batteries. The UN number for Li-Ion batteries contained in, or packed with, equipment is UN 3481. Please refer to the IATA packing instruction 966 for shipping UN3480 batteries packed with equipment. Please refer to the IATA packing instruction 967 for shipping UN3480 batteries contained in equipment. In all cases, please refer to local rules for transportation.

42 ELICA PROP LOCK
42.1 DESCRIPTION
The easy to replace prop-lock propeller can be removed from the underwater scooter without the use of tools in any situation such as in the event the propeller is wound by foreign objects like fishing lines or hooks or if the diver wants to replace the propeller with one shaped differently or with a different number of blades, both underwater and on land, still maintaining the safety friction built within.
42.2 HOW TO REMOVE THE PROP LOCK PROPELLER.
Turn off the ADV and make sure it is off! Do not grasp the propeller by a blade (30) but unscrew the white knob (31) (COUNTER­CLOCKWISE) until the propeller detaches. (see fig. 9)
DO NOT UNSCREW OR SCREW IN THE SAFETY CLUTCH TORQUE ADJUSTMENT SCREW (32) WHICH WAS FACTORY CALIBRATED. MODIFY TORQUE COULD CAUSE POTENTIAL HAZARDS SINCE IT COMPROMISES THE SAFETY SYSTEM.
PROTECTIVE GLOVES MUST ALWAYS BE WORN
Be extremely carefully since using hands or other parts of the body between the propeller blades is potentially hazardous, even if a safety clutch is installed between the propeller and engine. When replacing or removing the prop lock propeller, always make sure the ADV is off. The propeller should not rotate when the trigger is pressed!

42.3 HOW TO INSERT THE PROP LOCK PROPELLER.
Turn off the ADV and make sure it is off! Insert the propeller hole (36) on the ADV engine shaft (35). Turn the propeller (CLOCKWISE) until the plug (33) matches the propeller housing (34). A click will be heard and the propeller stops turning. Continue rotating the white knob (CLOCKWISE). Tighten the knob WITH YOUR FINGERS ONLY, WITHOUT OVERTIGHTENING.
THE PLUG (33) MUST BE ALIGNED WITH THE HOUSING (34) FOR CORRECT PROP LOCK PROPELLER POSITIONING AND OPERATIONS. (see fig. 10)

ROP LOCK PROPELLER MAINTENANCE.
The prop lock propeller does not require maintenance. However, make sure that everything is clean and free of foreign objects before inserting it on the ADV shaft.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
THE PROP LOCK PROPELLER SINKS WHEN SUBMERGED IN WATER! WHEN REMOVING AND REPLACING THE PROPELLER UNDERWATER, BE
CAREFUL SINCE YOU COULD RISK LOSING IT AND, CONSEQUENTLY, LOSE USE OF YOUR UNDERWATER SCOOTER. WHEN THE SAFETY CLUTCH TRIGGERS, MAKE SURE THE PROP LOCK PROPELLER DOES NOT UNSCREW BY ROTATING THE KNOB (31) CLOCKWISE. WHENEVER OBJECTS HIT THE PROPELLER BLADES, MAKE SURE THE PROP LOCK PROPELLER IS PERFECTLY SCREWED IN.
42.5 PROP LOCK PROPELLER TROUBLESHOOTING.
PROBLEM CAUSE - SOLUTION
Rotating the white knob requires excessive strain The knob was damaged and should be replaced*
Even if the shaft pin is in the correct position in the propeller housing, the friction jerks and the scooter does not move forward.
The traction pin was damaged (bent) and should be replaced. The propeller hub was damaged and should be
replaced* The white knob turns freely and does not stop the propeller.
Too much force was used to tighten the knob and it
was damaged. It should be replaced.*

*operations to be conducted at a authorized SUEX service centre.
Note:
The prop lock propeller is larger than a standard propeller (the white knob protrudes further). This means that the use must pay closer attention when standing the ADV on the flow conveyor in the vertical position. Any collisions with the propeller (larger) could damage both the prop lock
propeller and ADV.

43 CRUISE CONTROL AND REVOLVING HANDLE
43.1 DESCRIPTION.
In the control device (fig.11) you can find: the trigger, the handle (43B) the knob (43A), the locking knob screw (43D), an accessories fixing knobs (43C), two seats for accessories (46) and the cruise control (43). The handle can be rorate in four positions, to arrange the position rotate the knobs (43D) do not force.

SAFETY NOTE:
The knob cruise control (43)( see fig.11), must only be used under the diver’s maximum control. The knob, trigger or ADV ON/OFF switch must be usable at all times to avoid any type of collision or driver dragging risks in hazardous areas. The knob must only be used to lock speed, adjusted to 50% of
available power at best. Locking ADV ignition at maximum power is potentially hazardous. During normal ADV use the knob must be fully rotated counter-clockwise and locked in place so that it does not stop normal trigger return in any way. Only use the knob with fingers. IN ANY CASE, PAY THE UTMOST ATTENTION DURING CRUISE CONTROL KNOB USE SINCE THIS OPERATION COULD BE POTENTIALLY HAZARDOUS

44 BY PASS DEVICE
The BY PASS device is recognizable as a white knob (50) (see fig.13) located on the left side of the motor unit, exactly opposite the main switch, creates a direct electrical connection between the battery and electrical motor, by passing any other component usually used for electrical ADV use: trigger, speed regulator, electronic control.
This device was designed to ensure ADV use in the SOLE event of electronic control or control sensor fault. Use of this device is potentially hazardous since once activated, it starts the motor continuously and the only control we have is to turn the ADV off using the main switch or by pass knob. Please remember that a specific training course is essential to safe ADV use.
NEVER ROTATE THE BY PASS KNOB (50) (see fig. 13) UNLESS ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN THAT YOU HAVE COMPLETE AND ABSOLUTE CONTROL OF THE ADV. ROTATING THE KNOB WITH THE SWITCH IN THE ON POSITION IMMEDIATELY STARTS THE ADV.
ALSO REMEMBER THAT YOU MUST BE ABLE TO ABANDON THE ADV AT ANY
TIME. DO NOT USE TOW SYSTEMS THAT ARE DIFFICULT TO RELEASE.

44.1 OPERATIONS
THIS DEVICE SHOULD ONLY BE USED WHEN DIVING AND ONLY IF ONE OF THE TWO FAULTS OCCUR:
1. Despite the switch rotated to the ON position, the ADV does not start when the trigger is pressed (with the battery charged);
2. Following a collision when diving, the trigger was damaged and can no longer be used.
IF YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY SURE TO BE IN THE ENVIRONMENTAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL CONDITIONS TO MANAGE A SITUATION SUCH AS A MALFUNCTIONING ADV, PROCEED AS FOLLOWS OR ABANDON THE ADV.
Rotate the main switch (6) (see fig.1) counter-clockwise and make sure the ADV
does not start. (TURNING OFF THE ADV);
Fully rotate the By Pass knob (50) (see fig. 13) clockwise without forcing; Rotate the main switch (6) clockwise. The ADV starts in continuous mode. If it does
not start, the ADV is broken. Abandon or recover it;
Rotate the main switch (6) counter-clockwise to stop the ADV. Turn the ADV on and off using the main switch without forcing. In normal operating conditions, the By Pass device knob should be ALWAYS FULLY rotated counter-clockwise.
THE BY PASS DEVICE SHOULD ONLY BE USED IF AN ELECTRONIC FAULT OCCURS AND ONLY DURING A DIVE. DO NOT USE THIS DEVICE AS A NORMAL STARTING PROCEDURE.

44.2 CORRECT DIVING BEHAVIOUR USING THE BY PASS DEVICE
When diving with buddies, immediately warn them that your ADV is having troubles and that you are about to use the BY PASS. Your buddies should stay at a safe distance of at least 6 meters. If visibility does not safely permit this distance, DO NOT USE THE BY PASS. Tow the ADV by swimming or abandon it. When towed by an ADV that is using the BY PASS system, you must be absolutely sure that all your equipment, gas, regulators and anything else required for your underwater
safety is in good working order. MANAGING SEVERAL
MALFUNCTIONING DEVICES IS PROHIBITED. THIS WOULD CREATE A HAZARDOUS AND EVEN FATAL SITUATION.
When using the BY PASS during a dive, your right hand should always be ready to rotate the switch knob counter-clockwise TO IMMEDIATELY
STOP THE ADV. When using the BY PASS during a dive, you should always be ready to leave the ADV at any time, even cutting the tow cord. ALWAYS REMEMBER TO KEEP THE
CARABINEER MAINTAINED AND TO CARRY A SHARP KNIFE OR OTHER TOOL WITH YOU TO CUT THE CORD.
If you leave the ADV free without any restriction with the BY PASS on
(the same applies for cruise control, see the previous chapter) it will
independently start and there will be no way to stop it until the battery
dies. You are fully responsible for leaving an ADV free to hit anything or
anyone at high speed with HIGH IMPACT FORCE. SUEX S.r.l. is not liable for any damages to property or people caused by either improper BY PASS or CRUISE CONTROL use or an abandoned ADV free to run without any restriction to the diver. We also remind you that the BY PASS device should only be used in the event of absolute emergency. Remember that, as repeatedly mentioned in this manual, THAT THE ADV IS
NOT A RESCUE DEVICE! ONCE THE BY PASS DEVICE IS USED, THE ADV MUST BE SENT TO AN
AUTHORIZED SERVICE CENTER FOR THE NECESSARY CHECKS AND TESTS.
44.3 BY PASS KNOB PROTECTION.
The by pass knob must be always protected with ist special protection click-cap. The special protection click-cap has to be removed only when it is necessary to activate the BY PASS SYSTEM.
Never remove the special protection click-cap for other reasons. It has always to be in pace in order to protect the by pass knob against any accidental activation. (see fig. 13 pos. 51)

2 WARRANTY
Each ADV is factory tested underwater and only marketed when all necessary tests are passed, including waterproof tests. In the event of flooding (meaning the liquid in which the ADV was submerged enters the watertight case) warranty validity is at the discretion of SUEX S.r.l. Transport and packaging fees to or from the SUEX S.r.l. offices from non EU countries shall be born by the purchaser.
The product (excluding the battery) is covered against all manufacturing defects for a period of two years from the date of purchase proven by a sales document, excluding:
Non-conform use or use other than that foreseen or illustrated in this manual;
Negligence, attempts to repair or modify the ADV by personnel not expressly
authorized by SUEX S.r.l. that jeopardize correct operations or prevent adequate checks and tests to meet repair needs under the warranty;
Temporarily rented products;
Scratches or damages to any surface, due to normal product use by the consumer;
Normal wear or deterioration;
Damages due to transport, falls or accidents.
The batteries supplied with our ADC are guaranteed for a period of 3 months excluding:
Defects due to damages, incorrect use, accident, tampering, negligence or neglect
and in the event of modifications or repairs made by unauthorized personnel that jeopardize correct operations or prevent adequate checks and tests to meet repair needs under the warranty;
Defects or damages due to product use in conditions other than those described in
this manual;
Defects or damages due to incorrect cont rols, operations, maintenance, installation,
adjustments, unauthorized applications or any other alteration or modification of any form;
Broken or damaged wires or connections unless d irectly due to material or factory
defects;
Defects or damages due to humidity, liquids or foreign objects introduced within the
battery pack or that have rusted any part of the battery.

3 ROHS AND WEEE CONFORMITY
With reference to regulation RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) SUEX S.r.l. declares that all products introduced on the European market meet the following European regulations, assimilated in Italy by legislative decree nr. 151 dated 25/07/2005:
1) European Directive 2002/95/ED dated January 27, 2003, on the restriction to use the following hazardous substances in electric and electronic equipment, and thus the items do not contain concentrations that exceed the acceptable limits for the following substances:
• Lead
• Hexavalent Chromium (Cr+6)
• Mercury (Hg)
• Polybrominated biphenyl (PBB)
• Cadmium (Cd)
• Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE)
2) European Directive 2002/96/EC dated January 27, 2003, or WEEE (Waste electrical and electronic equipment) that sets specific criteria for the collection, handling and recycling of electrical and electronic waste.
User’s information
1. Waste of electric and electronic equipment (WEEE) cannot be disposed of as domestic waste but should be treated separated from the latter with separate collection of the rubbish.
2. Refer to the National Regulations for the proper WEEE disposal.
3. Electric and electronic equipment could have potential hazardous effects on the environment and human health due to the presence of hazardous substances.
4. The WEEE symbol is present on any device consisting in a crossed bin – as shown in the picture – with an horizontal bar identifying the electric and electronic equipment put into the market after August 13th 2005.
5. The consumer of electric and electronics equipment are bound to reuse and recycle the WEEE.
6. The consumer should verify and make sure of the information reported on the appropriate publication made by the retailer on the point of sale.

4 NOISE LEVELS
Continuous A-weighted equivalent noise pressure levels do not exceed 70 dB (A). C-weighted peak noise pressure values do not exceed 63 Pa (130 dB regarding 20 microPa).

L’osservanza delle istruzioni contenute nel presente manuale, consente di operare durante le fasi di uso, il traporto e la manutenzione in condizioni di sicurezza garantendo nel contempo il regolare funzionamento e l’economia del mezzo. SUEX S.r.l. declina ogni responsabilità per danni conseguenti a negligenza o alla mancata osservanza di queste istruzioni.

consegna all’acquirente lo scooter subacqueo XK 1 di seguito denominato “ADV” in
perfetto stato di manutenzione completo di manuale di uso e manutenzione;
assume che chi si appresta ad utilizzare l’ADV abbia seguito uno specifico
addestramento per la conduzione di veicoli subacquei del genere e di aver conseguito la necessaria certificazione da parte di un’agenzia qualificata;
assume che chi si appresta ad utilizzare l’ADV abbia letto questo manuale di uso e
manutenzione fornito in dotazione nel quale vengono specificati, in particolare:
- le modalità di utilizzo dell’ADV, con la specificazione della configurazione corretta dell’attrezzatura utilizzata dal subacqueo, della posizione che deve assumere il subacqueo durante l’utilizzo stesso, nonché dell’assetto che l’ ADV deve mantenere durante l’immersione, che detto scooter non deve in alcun modo essere unito in modo non facilmente svincolabile al suo utilizzatore.
- gli ambienti in cui l’utilizzo dell’ADV risulta particolarmente pericoloso, quali nell’immersione profonda, negli ambienti ostruiti, melmosi o soggetti a sospensione; le specifiche precauzioni da adottare nel caso di immersioni in tali ambienti e la necessità di aver seguito adeguati corsi di addestramento tenuti da qualificate agenzie;
- i comportamenti da evitare in quanto pericolosi, quali, a mero titolo di esempio, l’utilizzo dell’ADV per incrementare la velocità di discesa o di risalita;
assume, quindi, che l’utilizzatore abbia ricevuto compiuta informazione sulla
manutenzione, sul corretto uso e sulle caratteristiche del prodotto alle quali lo stesso si dovrà attenere scrupolosamente.
Pertanto, qualsiasi danno a persone o cose, conseguente a difetti di manutenzione
dello scooter o a un suo utilizzo con modalità diverse da quelle indicate nel presente manuale o senza le precauzioni ivi descritte, non potrà essere casualmente ricondotto a difetti del prodotto.

SUEX S.r.l. declina ogni responsabilità per perdite o danni subiti da terze persone derivanti dall’utilizzo di questo ADV. L’ADV non è un giocattolo, né un mezzo idoneo al salvataggio. La sua funzione è esclusivamente quella di ausilio al sub esperto nelle sue immersioni, al quale consente di coprire una distanza maggiore rispetto a quella percorribile col solo uso delle pinne. L’ADV ed i suoi componenti, nel caso specifico la batteria ed il caricabatterie sono destinati ad un utilizzatore adulto ed esperto, che abbia letto attentamente le istruzioni per l’uso. Al fine di evitare ogni rischio a cose o persone, l’utilizzatore delle batterie e del carica batterie in dotazione con i nostri veicoli subacquei deve prima aver letto il manuale di uso e manutenzione e dovrà attenersi scrupolosamente alle indicazioni sul corretto uso e sulle caratteristiche del prodotto, evitando che persone inesperte o minori possano maneggiare, anche inavvertitamente, l’ADV e gli strumenti in dotazione. Il nostri ADV sono dotati di un dispositivo di “cut off”, che ha lo scopo di tutelare i componenti interni dello stesso, impedendone il funzionamento quando la tensione è troppo bassa. Quando interviene tale dispositivo l’ADV, inevitabilmente, smette di funzionare. Questa caratteristica deve essere sempre tenuta presente al fine di non creare, in alcun modo, pericolo per il subacqueo, il quale, nel programmare l’attività di immersione, terrà conto di un tempo sufficiente per risalire in superficie anche in assenza della forza propulsiva dell’ADV stesso qualora la carica della batteria, a causa del tempo trascorso in acqua, stia per esaurirsi o l’ADV si fermi per qualsiasi altra ragione. SUEX S.r.l. declina ogni responsabilità per qualsiasi danno a persone e/o cose, derivante da un uso con modalità diverse da quelle indicate nel presente manuale e senza aver adottato le precauzioni ivi descritte. A causa del costante sviluppo tecnologico i veicoli subacquei SUEX S.r.l. potranno essere modificati in ogni momento senza preavviso.
Il presente manuale non è un manuale sostitutivo di un adeguato corso tenuto da agenzie certificate circa il corretto utilizzo dell’ADV durante l’immersione.
E’ vietato utilizzare l’ADV sotto effetto di alcool o droghe e in qualsiasi caso in cui le condizioni psico fisiche non siano adatte a svolgere l’attività di immersione.

2 DESCRIZIONE E PRINCIPIO DI FUNZIONAMENTO
L’ADV è costituito da un corpo cavo perfettamente ermetico, dalla forma idrodinamica, vedi figura 1, all’interno del quale sono alloggiati il motore elettrico, le batterie ricaricabili ed il riduttore di velocità. All’esterno, posteriormente, sono presenti due maniglie di manovra (1), in una delle quali è integrato il grilletto (2) che, comandando un pistoncino magnetico (3), permette il controllo della rotazione dell’elica. Anteriormente, una maniglia (4) viene utilizzata per la presa ed il sollevamento. All’estremità posteriore è situata l’elica (10) che girando genera la spinta propulsiva, quest’ultima è protetta da una fascia circolare radiale che costituisce il convogliatore di flusso (5). Sempre posteriormente sono presenti l’interruttore generale (6) che seziona l’alimentazione elettrica e la manopola di regolazione della velocità (7). Frontalmente è situata la calotta di prua (8) aprendola si ha accesso al vano batterie, nella calotta è inserito il volantino di chiusura (9).

3 USO PREVISTO
L’ADV prodotto da SUEX s.r.l. è un mezzo progettato e costruito per lo spostamento in immersione. Qualsiasi intervento eseguito sul prodotto, da parte del cliente o terze parti, che modifichi sostanzialmente la destinazione d’uso è vietato.
Lo scooter è stato progettato, dimensionato e costruito unicamente per l’uso precedentemente descritto. Qualsiasi altro uso o qualsiasi operazione non conforme o non corrispondente a quanto indicato nel

4.1 APERTURA DEL VANO BATTERIE
Posizionare l’ADV in posizione verticale su una superficie piana appoggiandolo sul convogliatore di flusso (5). Ruotare in senso antiorario il volantino a prua (9). Ruotando, il volantino la calotta (8) (vedi fig. 1) comincia a sollevarsi, continuare nella rotazione fino a quando la calotta non si sia staccata dal corpo principale. Estrarre la calotta.

Tolta la calotta posizionare l’ADV in verticale, svitare le ghiere (11), estrarre la piastra (12) (vedi fig. 2) e l’anello drop-trap (12a) svitare e togliere le ghiere (11a) ed estrarre la batteria (14) tirandola verso l’alto sfilandola dalle aste (13) (vedi fig. 2 e 3). Quando la batteria è estratta, staccare il connettore rosso (15).

4.3 RICARICA DELLA BATTERIA
Per ricaricare la batteria, estrarre la batteria (14) dall’ADV (vedi fig.4), metterla in luogo sicuro lontano da persone ed oggetti infiammabili, svitare il tappo del connettore di ricarica (24) e collegare il connettore di ricarica (26) al caricabatterie (vedi istruzioni caricabatterie) dopo, collegare la presa di alimentazione del caricabatterie alla rete. A fine carica scollegare il caricabatterie e ricollocare il tappo (24) del connettore (26) quindi inserire la batteria nell’ADV.

4.5 CHIUSURA DEL VANO BATTERIE
Appoggiare la protezione dell’elica su un piano. Controllare attentamente che la guarnizione OR di chiusura (19), (vedi fig. 6) sia inserita nella propria sede, pulita ed adeguatamente lubrificata con olio di vaselina. Verificare la pulizia anche della sede del corpo (20), eventualmente passare un panno pulito per eliminare polvere o sabbia. Inserire la calotta di prua (8) facendo combaciare la vite (18) con il foro (17). Ruotare in senso orario il volantino (9) fino a chiusura completa senza stringere troppo usando la sola forza di due dita.

5 CORRETTO UTILIZZO
Verificate le operazioni preliminari, per la messa in funzione dell’ADV procedere come di seguito: Assicurarsi sempre che l’Interruttore (6) sia in posizione off, immergere l’ADV in acqua e verificare che nulla sia tra le pale dell’elica. Se si dovesse trovare qualcosa tra le pale dell’elica, estrarre dall’acqua l’ADV e liberare le pale dell’elica dall’oggetto estraneo. Fare
molta attenzione che l’utilizzo delle mani o altre parti del corpo tra le pale dell’elica è un’azione potenzialmente pericolosa, anche se esiste una frizione di sicurezza tra l’elica e il motore. Per questo motivo bisogna evitare di introdurre le mani nella zona dell’elica e, nel caso sia necessario provvedere alla pulizia od alla rimozione di oggetti od ostacoli, utilizzare un bastone od alto oggetto di forma opportuna.

Ruotare l’interruttore (6) (vedi fig. 1) in senso orario, fino in fondo, senza forzare. Impugnare l’ADV per le due maniglie (1) (fig.1) o se si utilizza la fune di traino, agganciare il moschettone all’imbrago di traino. Premere il grilletto (2) fino all’avvio del motore. Per arrestare il motore rilasciare il grilletto (2). Per variare il numero di giri dell’elica, agire sul pomello (7), ruotandolo in senso orario l’ADV procede più lentamente, ruotandolo in senso antiorario l’ADV procede più velocemente. Questa ultima operazione si può fare in qualsiasi momento anche in immersione. A fine utilizzo, ruotare sempre l’interruttore (6) in senso antiorario per spegnere l’ADV.
SE NON UTILIZZATE LA FUNE DI TRAINO, NON FATE FUNZIONARE L’ADV SOLO CON UNA MANO, RISCHIATE DI PERDERNE IL CONTROLLO.
ATTENZIONE: premendo del grilletto, l’elica inizia a ruotare e l’ADV inizia ad avanzare.
6 INDICATORE DI CARICA BATTERIA
All’accensione dell’ADV viene effettuato un controllo dell’elettronica di trasmissione e dopo due test completi a rotazione dei 9 led, rimangono accesi tanti led quanto carica è la batteria al litio.
9 led accesi: carica della batteria da 90% a 100% 8 led accesi: carica della batteria da 80% a 90% 7 led accesi: carica della batteria da 70% a 80% e così via…
NOTA: SUEX S.r.l. declina ogni responsabilità per il mancato funzionamento o erronea valutazione della carica residua della batteria che abbia portato a valutazioni sbagliate riguardo l’autonomia dell’ADV. Si ricorda che l’ADV deve essere solo un ausilio all’immersione e NON UN MEZZO DI SALVATAGGIO!

7 ASSETTO DELL’ADV IN IMMERSIONE
L’assetto dell’ADV deve essere NEUTRO e in posizione pressoché orizzontale (trim neutro) ovvero non deve affondare ma restare stabile alla quota desiderata. Il mezzo
viene fornito con assetto neutro o leggermente galleggiante in acqua dolce; per compensare la differenza tra impiego in acqua dolce ed impiego in acqua salata vengono fornite in dotazione due zavorre (23) (vedi fig. 7) consistenti in due cilindri d’acciaio inox da mettere e togliere a seconda che l’ADV venga utilizzato in acqua dolce (NON UTILIZZARLE) o in acqua di mare (UTILIZZARLE).

7.1 INSERIMENTO DELLA ZAVORRA
Per inserire le zavorre (23) procedere come di seguito: (vedi fig. 7) Aprire lo scooter ed estrarre la batteria, vedi capitoli precedenti. Avvitare a mano le zavorre sulla piastra di supporto aste, utilizzando i due appositi fori filettati. Inserire la batteria e richiudere lo scooter come da capitolo precedente avendo cura di collegare il connettore rosso solo se si deve utilizzare l’ADV nei momenti seguenti.
NOTA IMPORTANTE: nella figura 7 si può osservare la zavorra addizionale (23b). Questa zavorra è necessaria per il corretto galleggiamento in acqua dell’ADV. Non rimuovere questa zavorra è stata determinata in fabbrica.

7.2 REGOLAZIONE ASSETTO E TRIM
Può capitare che a seconda della salinità o temperatura dell’acqua si renda necessaria una regolazione dell’assetto inteso come galleggiamento o trim (il trim è l’inclinazione dell’asse longitudinale dell’ADV). Per quanto riguarda il galleggiamento, l’ADV viene prodotto leggermente galleggiante sia in acqua dolce (senza l’utilizzo della zavorra 23) che salata (con l’utilizzo della zavorra 23). Per quanto riguarda il trim, è possibile variare quello impostato in fabbrica, spostando la batteria lungo le aste (13) (vedi fig.7). Togliere la batteria, allentare i grani (21) con una chiave esagonale da 4 mm, svitare o avvitare le ghiere (22); avvitandole l’ADV tende a posizionarsi con la “poppa” affondante, svitandole il contrario. Riavvitare i grani (21) senza forzare, rimettere la batteria e provare l’ADV in acqua. Eventualmente ripetere l’operazione fino a raggiungere l’assetto desiderato.
8 INFORMAZIONI PER LA SICUREZZA
8.1 TARGHETTA DI SEGNALAZIONE
Sul mezzo è incollata la seguente etichetta, essa non vede essere rimossa ed in caso di illeggibilità va sostituita con una nuova da richiedere alla nostra assistenza. La rimozione di questa etichetta, comporta la non responsabilità di SUEX S.r.l. per incidenti occorsi in seguito a comportamenti tenuti in contraddizione alle indicazioni in essa riportate.

8.2 ADDESTRAMENTO
L’ADV può essere utilizzato da qualsiasi subacqueo ma si dà per scontato che chi si appresta ad immergersi abbia conseguito la necessaria certificazione da qualificate agenzie; in ogni caso l'utilizzo dell’ADV presuppone uno specifico addestramento che permetta di utilizzarlo in piena sicurezza e di apprezzarne appieno le potenzialità. Non dimentichiamo che il pericolo maggiore è dovuto principalmente dall’ambiente subacqueo di utilizzo.
8.3 C
ONFIGURAZIONE ED ASSETTO DI MANOVRA
I veicoli subacquei SUEX S.r.l. sono del tipo TOW BEHIND (si differenzia dai così detti “ride on top” che devono essere cavalcati) e quindi l'utilizzo ideale richiede che il subacqueo si faccia trainare restando in posizione arretrata rispetto all’ADV.
LEGGERE CON ATTENZIONE! E’ assolutamente vietato vincolare l’ADV al subacqueo in modo improprio. In ogni momento deve essere possibile abbandonare
l’ADV con estrema facilità. L’ADV deve essere collegato al subacqueo per mezzo di una fune e di un moschettone a rapido sganciamento. Sarà anche cura del subacqueo portare sempre con sé un affilato coltello per eventualmente gestire le situazioni di emergenza compresa quella di tagliare la fune per abbandonare lo scooter.
Modi propri per collegare l’ADV al subacqueo. La fune di traino va dimensionata opportunamente, è corretto utilizzare una fune di diametro compreso tra i 4 e i 6 mm, di materiale sintetico, imputrescibile, in perfette condizioni e deve resistere ad una forza di trazione di almeno 100 Kg. Il moschettone deve essere in materiale inossidabile, in perfette condizioni e dotato di dispositivo di apertura di facile presa, deve essere di tipo utilizzabile anche con l’uso dei guanti. Il moschettone sarà collegato all’apposita imbragatura o all’eventuale anello “D" presente sui giubbotti equilibratori di tipo tecnico.

La posizione del subacqueo Nella fig. 8 è raffigurato un subacqueo in configurazione tecnica con una corretta posizione di un ADV rispetto alla persona. Altre posizioni sono ammesse ma riducono molto l’efficienza nell’avanzamento. Per una buona efficienza di trazione la lunghezza della fune di traino è molto importante, il braccio destro deve restare leggermente flesso, governare il mezzo dando la direzione da seguire e non deve mai trattenere l’ADV, il quale esercita tutta la forza di trazione sulla fune di traino. Se si preferisce non utilizzare la fune di traino, è indispensabile utilizzare le due maniglie. Con questo tipo di utilizzo non si riesce a ottenere una buona velocità, in quanto l’attrito nell’avanzamento è maggiore con conseguente fatica delle braccia. La posizione del subacqueo in immersione dovrà essere tendenzialmente orizzontale (assetto e galleggiamento che derivano sempre da una corretta configurazione dell'attrezzatura e da un adeguato addestramento) ai fini della sicurezza, dell'autonomia, della velocità e del comfort in navigazione.
Prestare la massima attenzione nel disporre l'attrezzatura con particolare cura riguardo a: fruste, erogatori, bombole al fianco, manometri, consolle, avvisatori acustici, lampade e relativi cavi, reel , evitando che penzolino e quindi possano venire a contatto con l'elica o impigliarsi inavvertitamente sul fondale o sul compagno creando
situazioni di pericolo anche grave.
La configurazione corretta dell'attrezzatura è un fattore di cruciale importanza per la sicurezza in immersione e diventa essenziale quando ci si immerge con l’ADV. In linea di principio il tipo ed il posizionamento dell'attrezzatura deve garantire una perfetta idrodinamicità e non presentare elementi sporgenti o penzolanti.

9 USO DEL VEICOLO SUBACQUEO ADV
L’immersione subacquea è un’attività potenzialmente pericolosa, l’utilizzo scorretto dell’ADV in tale ambiente aumenta il rischio dell’immersione stessa. Prima dell’uso accertarsi che la batteria sia stata ricaricata, che i connettori siano collegati e che non vi siano parti elettriche ossidate, controllare la chiusura della calotta di prua, l’integrità del corpo principale soprattutto a seguito di urti o incisioni accidentali, il funzionamento del grilletto e dell’interruttore generale. A questo punto il mezzo è pronto per l’utilizzo. Dopo essere entrati in acqua e aver immerso l’ADV, è necessario ruotare l’interruttore in posizione di marcia.
L’interruttore generale deve essere ruotato in posizione di marcia solamente quando si è in acqua; far girare l’elica in aria può essere pericoloso e danneggia la tenuta idraulica dell’albero motore.
Una volta immersi, per azionare l’elica è necessario tirare verso di sè il grilletto integrato nella maniglia, rilasciando il grilletto l’elica si arresta. La velocità, può essere selezionata lenta o veloce, vedi paragrafo precedente fig. 7.
10 INGRESSO IN ACQUA CON L’ADV
L’ingresso in acqua è uno dei momenti più delicati dell’immersione subacquea. Diversi fattori come il cambio di temperatura, l’utilizzo dell’autorespiratore, il peso dell’attrezzatura e altre difficoltà, fanno sì che l’aggiunta dell’ADV sia inevitabilmente un’altra fatica in più.
Prima di accendere o utilizzare l’ADV, accertarsi che tutta la vostra attrezzatura utilizzata per l’immersione sia correttamente posizionata e funzionante, solo allora procedere all’uso dell’ADV. Una scorretta preparazione all’immersione è molto pericolosa e l’ADV in certe occasioni potrebbe essere un potenziale pericolo aggiunto. Particolare attenzione va dedicata all’ingresso in acqua in presenza di onde, esse potrebbero sollevare e lanciarvi addosso l’ADV con conseguenze anche fatali.
11 USCITA DALL’ACQUA CON L’ADV
L’uscita dall’acqua è un altro momento delicato dell’immersione, ed
anche in questo caso l’aggiunta dell’ADV è inevitabilmente un’altra fatica
in più.
A seconda del luogo in cui avete fatto l’immersione, fare sempre in modo
che l’ADV sia l’ultima parte dell’attrezzatura da recuperare, prima di ogni cosa provvedere alla vostra incolumità e sicurezza. Particolare attenzione va dedicata all’uscita dall’acqua in presenza di onde, esse potrebbero sollevare e lanciarvi addosso l’ADV con conseguenze anche fatali.

12 “SOSTA” DELL’ADV SOTT’ACQUA
Durante l’immersione può capitare di dover “parcheggiare” l’ADV per
proseguire l’immersione solo con le pinne e dopo recuperarlo. Si
raccomanda vivamente di posizionare l’interruttore in posizione OFF e di
lasciare l’ADV lontano da zone con correnti che lo possano far urtare
l’ADV contro pareti di roccia, fondo marino o imbarcazioni. Urti violenti potrebbero compromettere la tenuta ermetica dell’ADV e danneggiarlo irreparabilmente. Durante le soste di decompressione, fare attenzione che la presenza dell’ADV non sia causa di variazioni di profondità incontrollate, spegnetelo e lasciatelo al vostro fianco.
NON UTILIZZARE L’ADV PER MANTENERE LA QUOTA DI DECOMPRESSIONE!
13 VELOCITÀ DI DISCESA
L’ADV permette una velocità di discesa elevata. EVITARE il suo utilizzo per incrementarla in quanto aumentano i problemi legati alla compensazione ed all'ambientamento psico­fisico.
14 VELOCITÀ DI RISALITA
L’ADV “NON DEVE ESSERE UTILIZZATO PER LA RISALITA
VERTICALE”, infatti il suo utilizzo in tal senso può indurre una risalita
troppo veloce e quindi POTENZIALMENTE PERICOLOSA ; pertanto
è opportuno posizionarlo ove non crei intralcio DOPO AVERLO
DISATTIVATO RUOTANDO L’INTERRUTTORE GENERALE IN POSIZIONE OFF ed effettuare la risalita normalmente.
15 USO DELL’ADV IN APNEA
L’attività di immersione in apnea, è una attività di per sè molto pericolosa, l’uso dell’ADV in apnea potrebbe essere causa di gravi incidenti. Siate sempre certi e consapevoli delle vostre possibilità. Adeguati corsi di addestramento sono indispensabili alla vostra sicurezza.

16 PROFONDITÀ E AMBIENTI DI UTILIZZO
NON ECCEDERE LA MASSIMA PROFONDITA’ OPERATIVA!!!
In ogni caso l’immersione, in particolare a quella profondità è un’attività MOLTO PERICOLOSA, L’UTILIZZO SCORRETTO DELL’ADV IN TALI AMBIENTI, AUMENTA IL
RISCHIO DELL’IMMERSIONE.
E’ importante ricordare che la massima profondità operativa dello scooter subacqueo si riferisce all’ADV in perfetta efficienza, urti, rigature o deformazioni riducono sensibilmente questo limite.
16.1 AMBIENTI OSTRUITI
L'immersione in tali ambienti è di per sé E' MOLTO PERICOLOSA. L’UTILIZZO SCORRETTO DELL’ADV IN TALI AMBIENTI, AUMENTA IL RISCHIO DELL’IMMERSIONE. L'IMMERSIONE IN TALI AMBIENTI PREVEDE ADEGUATI CORSI DI ADDESTRAMENTO TENUTI DA QUALIFICATE AGENZIE.
16.2 AMBIENTI MELMOSI O SOGGETTI A SOSPENSIONE
Sono ambienti, ostruiti e non, nei quali la visibilità può azzerarsi repentinamente a causa della sospensione che si crea quando viene smosso il sedimento. L'immersione in questi ambienti di per sé E' MOLTO PERICOLOSA. IL NON CORRETTO UTIILIZZO DELL’ADV
IN TALI AMBIENTI POTREBBE AUMENTARE IL RISCHIO DELL'IMMERSIONE. L'IMMERSIONE IN TALI AMBIENTI PREVEDE ADEGUATI CORSI DI ADDESTRAMENTO TENUTI DA QUALIFICATE AGENZIE.
17 POSIZIONI E COMPORTAMENTI DA EVITARE IN IMMERSIONE
La testa del subacqueo o altre parti del corpo non devono mai trovarsi oltre il convogliatore dell’elica (5) (vedi fig. 1), in quella zona si ha l’aspirazione del flusso. Non dirigere il flusso in uscita dal convogliatore verso di se, vanifica la
spinta propulsiva e potrebbe allontanare da voi la vostra attrezzatura. Non cavalcare l’adv. Non fissare in nessun modo l’ADV alle vostre bombole o al loro supporto. Non fissare in nessun modo l’ADV al vostro corpo, gambe, braccia o altre parti. Non utilizzare più di un ADV contemporaneamente. Non azionare l’ADV con parti del corpo diverse dalla mano destra. Durante l’utilizzo dell’ADV tenere sempre la mano sinistra lontana dall’elica, meglio se distesa lungo il vostro corpo, sul fianco, o appoggiata sulla mano destra per governare l’ADV con maggior confort.

Non dirigere il flusso prodotto dall’elica verso il fondo per sollevare sabbia o fango.
18 ZONA PERICOLOSA E RISCHI RESIDUI
L’elica è protetta mediante una fascia circolare esterna radiale, è però esposta sia dal lato aspirazione che dal lato espulsione. In corrispondenza di tali zone non sono state poste ulteriori protezioni perché ridurrebbero notevolmente il passaggio del fluido
nel condotto, riducendo drasticamente il rendimento del sistema propulsivo e quindi l’autonomia dello scooter. Una grata di protezione dal lato aspirazione del flusso,
potrebbe facilmente otturarsi con la presenza di piante acquatiche o alghe normalmente in sospensione nell’acqua, costringendo il subacqueo a frequenti fermate per la pulizia della grata non sempre possibile in condizioni di sicurezza nell’ambiente acquatico. Una grata posizionata dal lato di uscita del flusso impedirebbe l’eventuale estrazione di funi o lenze che si dovessero avvolgere attorno all’elica impedendo all’ADV di funzionare. Questo porterebbe il subacqueo a frequenti distrazioni, facendogli dimenticare che il maggior pericolo deriva dall’ambiente in cui si trova, e distogliendolo dalla principale continua ed attenta vigilanza richiesta dalla pratica dell’immersione. Per i motivi di cui sopra e considerato che l’elica è comunque protetta da una frizione di sicurezza si è ritenuto, per la maggior sicurezza del subacqueo, che la naturale condotta di prestare attenzione a non mettere mani o altre parti del corpo tra le pale dell’elica (che nel corretto uso si trova sempre in posizione avanzata rispetto al subacqueo) richiesta durante il funzionamento dell’ADV sia preferibile all’aggravio di distrazioni che la pulizia ed il disincaglio di oggetti da un eventuale set di griglie attorno alla zona d’elica comporterebbe.
Rischio di impigliamento e taglio Non introdurre alcun oggetto o parte del corpo all’interno del condotto di flusso a contatto con le pale dell’elica in rotazione, durante l’uso deve essere mantenuta, a parte la mano sul grilletto, una distanza di sicurezza di almeno 40 cm dall’apparato propulsore.
SE SI HANNO CAPELLI LUNGHI E’ OBBLIGATORIO INDOSSARE UNA APPOSITA CUFFIA O ALTRO DISPOSITIVO ATTO A CONTENERE I CAPELLI. CON UN USO IMPROPRIO DELL’ADV POTREBBERO ESSERE AVVOLTI DALL’ELICA. FARE ATTENZIONE ANCHE AD EVENTUALI OGGETTI COME CIME, LENZE DA PESCA, ATTREZZATURE SUBACQUEE, GIOCATTOLI GALLEGGIANTI O QUALSIASI ALTRA COSA CHE VENISSE A TROVARSI NELLE VICINANZE DELL’ELICA.
E’ SEMPRE OBBLIGATORIO L’USO DEI GUANTI DI PROTEZIONE
Rischio di schiacciamento
Durante la fase di chiusura del tubo o della calotta fare attenzione a non interporre le dita tra le due parti in chiusura.
NON LASCIARE MAI INCUSTODITO L’ADV, SOPRATTUTTO IN PRESENZA DI BAMBINI O INESPERTI. SPEGNERLO SEMPRE PRIMA DI USCIRE DALL’ACQUA E DISCONNETTERE LA BATTERIA APPENA POSSIBILE (vedi capitoli precedenti).

18.1 DISPOSITIVO DI SICUREZZA
Tra l’apparato motore e l’elica, vi è un dispositivo limitatore di coppia, quando la resistenza
applicata all’elica supera un determinato momento torcente, esso scatta impedendo all’elica di continuare a girare. Il dispositivo produrrà un rumore ritmico che avvertirà immediatamente della sua inserzione. Non appena si dovesse presentare questa situazione, rilasciare immediatamente il grilletto, togliere tensione tramite
l’interruttore sezionatore e liberare l’elica dal corpo estraneo. Non mantenere in funzione continua, oltre i 10 secondi, il limitatore di coppia, è concepito per l’uso in emergenza ed una inserzione protratta nel tempo ne potrebbe causare il danneggiamento. Se le condizioni di utilizzo vi permettono di estrarre il corpo estraneo dall’elica durante l’immersione in tutta sicurezza fatelo, altrimenti abbandonate l’ADV. Non lubrificare il dispositivo di sicurezza.
19 SISTEMI DI SICUREZZA ELETTRICI E MECCANICI APPLICATI
ALL
’ADV XK1
Al fine di assicurare all’utilizzatore la massima garanzia di sicurezza nell’utilizzo dell’ADV, sono state realizzate diverse soluzioni atte a eliminare i possibili rischi di anomalia o di possibile pericolo di infortunio.
19.1 CONTROLLO ELETTRONICO DEL MOTORE
Nella scheda elettronica di controllo del motore, sono presenti: Fusibile di emergenza in caso di corto circuito (va sostituito solo in centro di assistenza) Sensore di temperatura (rallenta la rotazione dell’elica fino a fermarla, al raffreddamento del motore il sistema si ripristina automaticamente) Sensore di massima corrente assorbita (limita la massima corrente assorbibile dal motore elettrico, in modo completamente automatico, serve a salvaguardare i componenti elettronici) Sensore di avvio motore privo di contatti meccanici (il sensore non è di tipo reed o meccanico, ma di tipo induttivo)
19.2 CONTROLLO ELETTRONICO DELLA BATTERIA
Nella batteria sono presenti: Termostato di emergenza (nel caso durante la ricarica si verifichi un guasto al caricabatteria che determini una sovraccarica della batteria, un termostato impedisce il surriscaldamento della batteria interrompendo la carica) Cut off (in caso di tentativo di sovrascarica, elimina l’assorbimento elettrico interrompendo l’erogazione di corrente, esso si ripristina con la ricarica della batteria)

Ogni cella ha singolarmente una elettronica di protezione contro i corti circuiti accidentali, in ognicaso NON CORTOCIRCUITARE LA BATTERIA PERCHE’ POTREBBE DANNEGGIARE QUESTO SISTEMA IRREPARABILMENTE e la batteria deve essere sostituita.
19.3 INTERRUTTORE
Questo ADV è fornito di un interruttore che provvede a sezionare la batteria dal controllo elettronico del motore. L’utilizzo dell’interruttore, limita l’azionamento accidentale che non può avvenire in nessun caso se si lascia l’interruttore in posizione OFF.
19.4 FRIZIONE MECCANICA SULL’ELICA

19.5 PROTEZIONE DEL GRILLETTO
Il grilletto è segregato da una protezione che obbliga ad infilare volontariamente un dito nella zona di azionamento per premere il grilletto ed azionare l’ADV.
20 AUTONOMIA
I dati di autonomia forniti sono indicativi e comunque si riferiscono ad un utilizzo:
- con mezzo in perfetta efficienza;
- in ambienti temperati;
- in assenza di correnti;
- a medio carico (subacqueo con bibombola 12+12 litri);
- in perfetto assetto idrodinamico. In linea di principio va calcolato il tempo per coprire il percorso di andata, e ritorno, deve venire inoltre stabilita una RISERVA di autonomia che varierà a seconda del tipo di immersione. In ogni caso si deve programmare l’immersione tenendo conto di poter tornare al punto di emersione senza l’ausilio dell’ADV.
21 VELOCITÀ
Come per l’autonomia, anche la velocità dipende dagli stessi fattori. Si dovrà considerare la velocità compatibile al tipo di immersione ed adeguandola a quella dei compagni.

22 PRECAUZIONI D’USO
- Non tenere l’ADV esposto alla radiazione solare, chiuso in auto al sole o esposto
al calore eccessivo, (Max 50°C), si potrebbe surriscaldare deformandosi e gli accoppiamenti non potrebbero più garantire l’ermeticità;
- Evitare urti durante l’immersione;
- Non dirigere l’ADV contro gli altri subacquei;
- Non usarlo come sgabello;
- Non salirci sopra con i piedi;
- Non farlo usare a minorenni o inesperti;
- Non trasportarlo smontato o aperto,
- Non tentare di fermare l’elica con le mani;
- Non bloccare il grilletto di avvio con marcia inserita;
- Non lanciarlo dalla barca o dalla riva;
- Non trainarlo con imbarcazioni i mezzi a motore;
- Non smontarlo;
- Non farlo funzionare a secco in superficie;
- Non bagnare i connettori elettrici;
- Non cortocircuitare la batteria;
- Non ricaricare le batterie con caricabatterie diverso da quello in dotazione;
- Non azionare l’ADV trattenendo l’elica o con oggetti tra le pale;
- Non staccare i cavi dal connettore od invertirne la polarità;
- Non bagnare le parti interne dell’ADV e le batterie.

PROBLEMA CAUSA – RIMEDIO
L’ADV non funziona, allo spostamento del grilletto l’elica non gira.
Aprire l’ADV, controllare che le batterie siano cariche e che i connettori siano inseriti e non danneggiati, poi riprovare.
Nonostante le batterie siano state caricate ed i connettori siano inseriti l’ADV non funziona.
Il sistema di controllo potrebbe essere danneggiato, va verificato.* Il motore elettrico potrebbe essere fuori uso, va sostituito.* La batteria potrebbe essere danneggiata, va sostituita.
Il variatore della velocità non funziona.

L’autonomia dell’ADV è vistosamente diminuita.

a funzionare va verificato il sistema di avviamento,
probabilmente ha subito un urto con conseguenti danni.
La parte terminale conica dell’involucro vicino all’elica presenta tracce di olio o è visibilmente unta.
La tenuta esterna dell’albero dell’elica si è danneggiata, va
revisionata. La seconda tenuta interna protegge comunque
dall’allagamento ma bisogna sospendere l’utilizzo dell’ADV
e procedere alla sostituzione delle tenute.

24 LEGENDA DISPLAY
Sul copechio del pacco batteria, è visibile un display a quattro cifre dove si legge la percentuale di carica residua della batteria. Ciò significa che se leggiamo per esempio la cifra 100, la batteria sarà in piena carica (per esempio al termine della ricarica) se leggiamo 70, la batteria sarà al 70% della carica massima. Oltre alla percentuale di carica residua, sul display è possibile leggere alcuni codici errore, essi possono comparire in casi particolari, sotto elencati, attenersi scrupolosamente alle note scritte nella tabella seguente:

25 ALLAGAMENTO DEL SCOOTER SUBACQUEO, AFFONDAMENTO
E’ un’ipotesi che potrebbe verificarsi soprattutto a seguito di un uso improprio, di un forte urto, di una non corretta chiusura, di una inefficiente manutenzione. In caso di allagamento il mezzo comincerà ad assumere un assetto negativo e quindi ad affondare.
In caso di allagamento totale la situazione può diventare POTENZIALMENTE
PERICOLOSA in quanto l’ADV inizierà ad affondare TRASCINANDOVI VERSO IL FONDO) e pertanto DOVRA’ ESSERE IMMEDIATAMENTE ABBANDONATO.
26 PULIZIA E RIMESSAGGIO
Dopo l’uso l’ADV deve essere sciacquato con acqua dolce, per lo sporco più resistente può essere usato anche del detergente neutro; prima di aprirlo è importante eliminare ogni residuo di salsedine e sabbia In particolar modo deve essere pulito e liberato da residui la levetta di comando collegata al grilletto.
Non usare solventi od idrocarburi di nessun tipo. Deve essere riposto possibilmente in luogo fresco pulito ed areato, in posizione verticale con la prua verso l’alto, la batteria deve essere tolta, ricaricata e conservata anch’essa al riparo dal gelo e dall’eccessivo calore. Attenzione che l’accidentale contatto con oggetti metallici all’interno del connettore non la cortocircuitino. Il volantino di apertura
dell’involucro deve essere allentato.
Nota importante: togliere sempre le batterie dopo l’uso.

27 MANUTENZIONE
Manutenzione OR tenuta involucro
Aprire l’ADV, togliere con delicatezza l’O-ring di tenuta (19) (vedi fig. 6) facendo molta attenzione a non rigare le superfici di appoggio dell’O-ring stesso, pulire accuratamente la sede (solo ed esclusivamente con un pennello o straccio morbido puliti) non usare alcun tipo di solvente o alcool, rimettere al suo posto la guarnizione lubrificata con olio di vaselina (non usare altro tipo d’olio!!!). Saltuariamente, lubrificare con normale grasso minerale, la vite del pomolo di chiusura. Non lubrificare mai il movimento del grilletto od il pistoncino magnetico, si riempirebbero di sabbia e sporcizia. Non lubrificare i contatti elettrici!
Manutenzione tenute pomolo di chiusura
Ogni qualvolta il pomolo di chiusura (9) (vedi fig. 1) dovesse venire a contatto con la sabbia, sciacquarlo abbondantemente prima di ruotarlo. Ogni 50 utilizzi circa, smontarlo, utilizzando una pinza adeguata, pulire le guarnizioni di tenuta e lubrificare con olio di vaselina. Se questa operazione non vi fosse familiare, appoggiatevi ad un centro di assistenza autorizzata.
Manutenzione corpo in alluminio
Il corpo in alluminio è stato protetto con una speciale protezione dura, in modo tale che sia immune alla normale corrosione salina. Quando urti o errato utilizzo dovessero rovinare tale protezione, il materiale di cui è composto il corpo, l’alluminio, viene a contatto con l’acqua e ciò potrebbe essere fonte di corrosione, in modo particolare con l’acqua salata. In caso di danneggiamento della protezione, porre molta più attenzione al risciacquo dell’ADV, magari lasciandolo immerso in acqua dolce per almeno 15 minuti.
NOTA: lasciare a lungo esposto al sole l’ADV, potrebbe danneggiare il colore della protezione del corpo, con conseguenti zone più chiare o di colore nero sfumato. Questa situazione non pregiudica la protezione all’ossidazione, ma è solo un effetto estetico. Si ricorda che il deterioramento delle superfici è considerato normale usura e non rientra nella garanzia.
Manutenzione straordinaria
Ogni cento ore di utilizzo o almeno ogni due anni è consigliata la revisione dell’ADV, con la verifica delle tenute idrauliche e dei circuiti elettrici. SUEX S.r.l. provvede alla completa revisione del vostro ADV con spedizione in tutto il mondo.
NOTA: Utilizzando i lubrificanti spray, arieggiare abbondantemente l’interno dell’involucro, in modo tale che non vi ristagnino gas propellenti, sono quasi sempre infiammabili!

28 SMALTIMENTO E ROTTAMAZIONE
Questo apparecchio è costruito parzialmente con materiali riciclabili. Quando le condizioni di utilizzo non sono più soddisfacenti sotto il punto di vista della sicurezza, o l’assistenza ritiene che non possa più essere utilizzato, l’ADV deve essere demolito. Deve essere smontato e separato nelle sue parti, le parti in plastica vanno depositate in appositi contenitori per la raccolta del materiale plastico, le parti metalliche portate presso un centro di raccolta materiali metallici.
Particolare cura va posta nello smaltimento degli accumulatori, essi sono altamente inquinanti per l’ambiente, vanno obbligatoriamente per legge, portati in un centro di raccolta accumulatori usati.
NON DISPERDERE NELL’AMBIENTE ALCUNA PARTE DELLO SCOOTER, IN PARTICOLARE GLI ACCUMULATORI!
29 MOVIMENTAZIONE
In qualsiasi situazione di trasporto, l’ADV deve essere sempre chiuso.
Lo scooter è stato pensato per essere utilizzato in ambiente acquatico, quando lo dovete trasportare o caricare in auto, data la sua forma ed il suo peso, dovete osservare alcune precauzioni. Sollevatelo impugnando un supporto del condotto di flusso e la maniglia di prua. Durante il trasporto in auto o in barca bloccatelo in modo che non si muova, se non bloccato può facilmente rotolare e creare danni sia alle cose che alle persone. Si consiglia l’uso del supporto cod. 70068 (vedi accessori Suex). In barca o gommone, non metterlo mai a prua o comunque in posizione tale che possa essere sottoposto a forti scossoni, le parti interne potrebbero danneggiarsi. Quando si appoggia l’ADV al suolo, fatelo sempre con delicatezza e quando viene posizionato verticalmente, appoggiatelo sulla protezione dell’elica, curate che sia appoggiato su un piano orizzontale e che nulla vada a contatto con l’elica. Se preferite sollevare l’ADV per le maniglie di manovra, fatelo pure, ma cercate di non sollecitarle troppo, non sono state realizzate per sopportare carichi eccessivi. Non sostenere il peso dell’ADV solo con una maniglia.

30 IMMAGAZZINAGGIO
Se prevedete di non utilizzare l’ADV per lunghi periodi (oltre i due mesi) è necessario seguire alcune avvertenze per la corretta conservazione:
Sciacquare molto attentamente l’ADV con acqua dolce eventualmente lavare con
del detergente neutro;
Asciugare completamente l’ADV; Aprire l’ADV ed estrarre la batteria; Togliere l’OR di tenuta del corpo; Pulire accuratamente sia L’OR che la sede dell’OR; Inserire l’OR all’interno del corpo (per non perderlo); Richiudere l’ADV senza stringere troppo il pomolo; Riporre l’ADV in un luogo asciutto, buio e fuori dalla portata dei bambini; Riporre la batteria in un luogo asciutto e con temperatura tra 10°C e 30°C;
Ricaricare la batteria almeno ogni 2 mesi.
Alla rimessa in uso dell’ADV seguire il capitolo “operazioni preliminari” Nota: ricordarsi di rimettere a posto l’OR del corpo adeguatamente lubrificato con olio di vasellina prima dell’utilizzo.

33 RICARICA DELLA BATTERIA (NORME GENERALI)
LEGGERE ATTENTAMENTE IL MANUALE DI ISTRUZIONI DEL
CARICABATTERIE;
La batteria va ricaricata solo tramite l’apposito carica batteria in dotazione; La ricarica deve avvenire in luogo coperto ed aerato, lontano da oggetti o
liquidi infiammabili, in locali non frequentati da persone e tantomeno dentro il luogo di abitazione;
La batteria deve essere collegata al caricabatterie per mezzo dell’apposito
connettore;
Prima di effettuare la ricarica è ASSOLUTAMENTE NECESSARIO estrarre la
batteria dall’ADV e attendere almeno due ore dall’ultimo utilizzo prima di iniziare il processo di ricarica;
Durante il processo di ricarica, alla batteria non deve essere connesso alcun
dispositivo;
La batteria va conservata fuori dall’ADV ed inserita e collegata al motore solo
immediatamente prima dell’utilizzo: va scollegata ed estratta immediatamente dopo l’utilizzo.
34 COME RICARICARE LA BATTERIA IN MODO CORRETTO
Estrarre la batteria dall’ADV; Posizionarla in un luogo protetto, aerato e lontano da cose infiammabili o persone; PRIMA collegare il caricabatterie al connettore di ricarica batteria (diverso a
seconda del modello) posto sulla batteria;
DOPO collegare il caricabatterie alla rete elettrica;  Attendere la fine carica (vedi istruzioni caricabatterie); Aspettare che la batteria si raffreddi. In ogni caso riposizionare la batteria all’interno
dell’ADV prima dell’utilizzo.
NON TENTARE DI RICARICARE BATTERIE DANNEGGIATE O CHE PRESENTINO PERDITE DI LIQUIDO, OSSIDAZIONI O ALTRI DANNI. SUEX S.r.l. E’ A DISPOSIZIONE PER L’ASSISTENZA TECNICA NECESSARIA.
35 INFORMAZIONI SULLA BATTERIA LI ION
La batteria Li-Ion è realizzata tramite il collegamento di diverse celle tra di loro, poste all’interno di un apposito contenitore, con all’esterno un cavo con connettore rosso destinato al collegamento della batteria al gruppo propulsore ed un connettore apposito per il collegamento del caricabatterie.

Se percepite un sensibile calo di potenza durante l’uso dell’ADV, non insistete con l’utilizzo e spegnete l’ADV tramite l’interruttore. Non lasciare MAI la batteria connessa all’ADV se non utilizzata. Ricaricare la batteria almeno una volta ogni 3 mesi. Ricaricare la batteria prima di ogni utilizzo, avendo cura di lasciar raffreddare la batteria prima di inserirla nell’ADV. Una batteria nuova opererà a pieno regime solo dopo quattro o cinque cicli completi di caricamento e scaricamento. La batteria può essere ricaricata centinaia di volte, ma con il tempo si deteriora. Quando l’autonomia risulta notevolmente ridotta rispetto al normale, è giunto il momento di sostituirla. Utilizzare solo batterie approvate da Suex S.r.l. ricaricandole usando esclusivamente il caricabatterie approvato dalla stessa. Quando il caricabatterie non viene usato, scollegarlo dalla presa di rete. Se non utilizzata una batteria, anche completamente carica, si scarica lentamente per effetto del fenomeno di autoscarica, è comunque consigliato ricaricare le batterie nelle 24 ore precedenti l’utilizzo. Temperature estreme possono incidere sulla capacità di carica della batteria. Lasciare la batteria in ambienti caldi o freddi, come ad esempio in un’auto completamente chiusa in piena estate o pieno inverno, ridurrà la capacità e la durata della batteria stessa. Cercare sempre di tenere la batteria ad una temperatura compresa tra 10°C e 40°C. L’intervallo di temperatura massimo per la ricarica della batteria è tra i -20 °C e i + 60 °C.
NON GETTARE LE BATTERIE SUL FUOCO, ESPLODONO! Non utilizzare la batteria per scopi diversi da quelli prescritti. Non utilizzare mai caricabatterie o batterie che risultino danneggiati. La custodia degli accumulatori deve avvenire all’esterno dell’ADV, in
luogo asciutto, (umidità relativa 65% +-5%) e temperatura compresa tra i 15°C ed i 25°C, con i connettori elettrici lontani da oggetti metallici che possano cortocircuitare i due poli della batteria, con grave pericolo di incendio, danni a cose e persone. Non bagnare i contatti elettrici o la batteria. Disfarsi delle batterie applicando le regolamentazioni locali, ad esempio riciclandole. Non gettarle tra i rifiuti domestici.

Condizioni diverse da quelle sopra descritte possono influenzare la ricarica nonché il numero di ricariche possibili con una resa accettabile.
37 CONDIZIONI IDEALI PER LA SCARICA DELLA BATTERIA
Raccomandiamo di utilizzare la batteria ad una temperatura compresa tra 5°C e 40°C. Per evitarne il deterioramento in tempi brevi, la batteria non deve essere, in nessun caso, mai scaricata del tutto per questo all’interno della batteria è stato inserito il dispositivo di cut off (vedi paragrafo dedicato). Durante l’utilizzo dell’ADV è buona norma non procedere costantemente alla massima velocità sospendendo l’avvio frequentemente, facendo delle brevi pause, in questo modo di dà il tempo alla batteria di attuare meglio la reazione chimica necessaria alla generazione della corrente, evitando bruschi riscaldamenti delle celle.
37.1 NOTA IMPORTANTE SULL’ESAURIMENTO DELLA BATTERIA!
Dopo l’utilizzo dell’ADV, ricordarsi di interrompere sempre l’alimentazione al motore, tramite l’utilizzo dell’interruttore. Questo perché il controllo elettronico dell’ADV, anche se il motore non è in funzione, ha un piccolissimo consumo energetico, che a lungo porta alla scarica della batteria.
38 SISTEMA DI PROTEZIONE BATTERIA “CUT OFF” PRINCIPIO DI
FUNZIONAMENTO E ISTRUZIONI PER L
’USO
Il sistema elettronico di protezione della batteria dalla scarica totale accidentale è collocato all’interno della batteria e collegato in serie tra la batteria e il motore dell’ADV. La funzione è quella di impedire la scarica eccessiva delle celle con possibile pericolo di inversione della polarità di una o più celle, con conseguente possibile distruzione del pacco batterie con potenzialità di creare danni anche gravissimi a cose e/o a persone. Durante la scarica degli accumulatori, la tensione si abbassa fino a raggiungere un valore limite a quel punto il cut off impedisce, interrompendo l’erogazione della corrente, che la batteria possa essere scaricata ulteriormente. Quando il cut off interviene la batteria non eroga più tensione al connettore. Per ripristinare la situazione di utilizzo della batteria è necessario ricaricarla esclusivamente per mezzo dell’apposito caricabatterie (vedi manuale utilizzo del caricabatterie) e ristabilire il circuito. L’intervento del cut off è da ritenersi eccezionale e tale evento non dovrebbe verificarsi durante il normale utilizzo della batteria, in quanto il corretto uso del mezzo non prevede la scarica eccessiva della stessa.

38.1 MODALITÀ DA SEGUIRE IN CASO DI INTERVENTO DEL CUT
OFF
In caso di intervento del sistema cut off, E’ IMPORTANTE procedere come di seguito:
1. Seguire la procedura di apertura dell’ADV;
2. Sconnettere il connettore di alimentazione del motore della batteria;
3. Estrarre la batteria dall’ADV;
4. Lasciare la batteria a riposo almeno per 2 ore. E’ il tempo minimo necessario, in questo caso, per permettere alla batteria di raffreddarsi e riportarsi allo stato di attesa ricarica;
5. Collegare il connettore per la ricarica della batteria al caricabatterie;
6. Procedere con la ricarica, come da manuale istruzioni del caricabatterie.
NOTA IMPORTANTE! Si ricorda ulteriormente che quando interviene il dispositivo di cut off, l’ADV inevitabilmente smette di funzionare. Questo evento non deve in alcun modo essere origine di pericolo per il
subacqueo, il quale avrà programmato l’attività di immersione, tenendo conto che l’utilizzo dell’ADV non può essere considerato come sistema per salvaguardare la propria vita o per togliersi da situazioni di difficoltà.
SUEX S.r.l. declina ogni responsabilità in seguito all’intervento del sistema cut
off, in qualsiasi situazione, in situazioni pericolose o in immersioni dove il subacqueo abbia (a suo completo rischio) affidato il suo ritorno in superficie al mezzo subacqueo da noi costruito. Si ricorda che l’ADV deve essere considerato come ausilio all’immersione e non come mezzo di salvataggio.
39 BATTERIA LI-ION, RACCOMANDAZIONI DI SICUREZZA:
Tutte le raccomandazioni contenute in questo documento devono essere strettamente applicate in modo tale da utilizzare correttamente ed in sicurezza la batteria. Un uso scorretto della batteria può portarla al surriscaldamento o a prendere fuoco, quindi causare gravi lesioni. Assicuratevi di seguire le regole di sicurezza sotto elencate:
- Non cortocircuitare la batteria;
- Non aprire o assemblare la batteria;
- Non invertire la polarità del connettore;
- Non sottoporre la batteria a stress meccanici eccessivi, come forti vibrazioni o
scossoni;
- Non esporre la batteria a umidità eccessiva o all’acqua o condensazione;
- Non disporre la batteria vicino a fuochi o il locali con temperature (> 70°C), così
facendo potreste surriscaldare la batteria con pericolo di inizio di incendio. Utilizzare la batteria non seguendo le raccomandazioni consigliate, può significare una sensibile diminuzione delle prestazioni e aspettativa di vita;

- Disconnettere immediatamente la batteria se durante l’utilizzo dovesse emettere
uno strano odore, se dovesse diventare particolarmente calda o comunque apparire anormale.
Contattare SUEX se qualsiasi di questi casi dovesse verificarsi.
40 CONSERVAZIONE DELLA BATTERIA.
Durante il periodo di immagazzinamento, la batteria deve essere disconnessa da qualsiasi carico elettrico esterno, accertarsi che il connettore rosso sia disconnesso onde evitare qualsiasi assorbimento elettrico. Caricare la batteria almeno ogni due mesi.
41 TRASPORTO DELLA BATTERIA.
In accordo con le attuali regolamentazioni sul trasporto, la batteria Li ion deve essere trasportata utilizzando uno specifico imballo. Le batterie al Litio possono essere pericolose ed innescare incendi se non vengano trasportate correttamente. Pertanto, le batterie devono rispettare gli standard delle Nazioni Unite (UN) in materia di requisiti dell’UN Manual of Tests and Criteria, Parte III Sezione 38.3. La batteria può essere trasporta via aerea solo in “AIR CARGO”, non può viaggiare in aereo passeggeri. La batteria è soggetta a restrizioni al trasporto (Class 9). La normativa per il trasporto della batteria è la UN 3480 (se trasportata da sola). Fare riferimento alle istruzioni IATA per l’imballo 965 per spedire la batteria con norma UN
3840. La normativa per il trasporto della batteria è la UN 3481 (se trasportata all’interno dell’ADV). Fare riferimento alle istruzioni IATA per l’imballo 966 per spedire la batteria con norma UN 3840 trasportata nello steso imballo dell’ADV. Fare riferimento alle istruzioni IATA per l’imballo 966 per spedire la batteria con norma UN 3840 trasportata all’interno dell’ADV.
In ogni caso fare riferimento o chiedere o chiedere al trasportatore che intendete utilizzare.

42 ELICA PROP-LOCK
42.1 DESCRIZIONE.
L’elica a facile sostituzione Prop-Lock, consente, senza l’ausilio di attrezzi, di estrarre l’elica dallo scooter subacqueo, in qualsiasi situazione; in caso di avvolgimento di corpi estranei, come cime o lenze da pesca o nel caso in cui si voglia sostituire l’elica con un’altra di forma o numero di pale diversa, sia in immersione che a terra pur mantenendo la frizione di sicurezza costruita al suo interno.
42.2 COME ESTRARRE L’ELICA PROP LOCK.
Spegnere l’ADV ed accertarsi che sia spento! Non afferrare l’elica per una pala (30), ma svitare il pomello bianco (31), (senso ANTIORARIO) fino alla completa estrazione dell’elica. (vedi fig.9)
NON SVITARE O AVVITARE LA VITE (32) REGOLA LA COPPIA DELLA FRIZIONE DI SICUREZZA, CHE E’ STATA CALIBRATA IN FABBRICA. MODIFICARE TALE COPPIA PUO’ ESSERE CAUSA DI POTENZIALE PERICOLO IN QUANTO PUO’ RENDERE INEFFICACE IL SISTEMA DI SICUREZZA.
E’ SEMPRE OBBLIGATORIO L’USO DEI GUANTI DI PROTEZIONE
Fare molta attenzione che l’utilizzo delle mani o altre parti del corpo tra le pale dell’elica è un’azione potenzialmente pericolosa, anche se esiste una frizione di sicurezza tra l’elica e il motore. Nel caso della sostituzione o rimozione dell’elica prop lock, acceratrsi sempre con attenzione che l’ADV sia spento, ovvero premendo il grilletto l’elica non deve girare!

42.3 COME INSERIRE L’ELICA PROP LOCK.
Spegnere l’ADV ed accertarsi che sia spento! Infilare il foro dell’elica (36) nell’albero motore dell’ADV (35), girare l’elica (in senso ORARIO) fino a quando la spina (33) si trova a combaciare con la sede (34) dell’elica, si sente uno scatto e l’elica smette di girare, proseguire ruotando (in senso ORARIO) il pomello bianco.
Stringere il pomello CON LA SOLA FORZA DELLE DITA, SENZA FORZARE.
PER IL CORRETTO POSIZIONAMENTO E FUNZIONAMENTO DELL’ELICA PROP LOCK E’ INDISPENSABILE CHE LA SPINA (33) SIA IN CORRISPONDENZA DELLA SEDE (34). (vedi fig. 10)
E’ SEMPRE OBBLIGATORIO L’USO DEI GUANTI DI PROTEZIONE

42.4 MANUTENZIONE ELICA PROP LOCK.
L’elica prop lock non necessita di manutenzione, unica accortezza sarà quella di verificare prima dell’inserimento nell’albero dell’ADV che tutto sia pulito privo di corpi estranei.
NOTE IMPORTANTI:
L’ELICA PROP LOCK IMMERSA IN ACQUA AFFONDA! DURANTE L’OPERAZIONE DI ESTRAZIONE E RICOLLOCAMENTO DELL’ELICA IN
IMMERSIONE, FARE LA MASSIMA ATTENZIONE ESISTE IL POTENZIALE RISCHIO DI PERDERLA CON LA CONSEGUENZA DI NON POTER UTILIZZARE LO SCOOTER SUBACQUEO. QUANDO INTERVIENE LA FRIZIONE DI SICUREZZA, ACCERTARSI CHE L’ELICA PROP LOCK NON SI SIA SVITATA RUOTANDO IN SENSO ORARIO IL POMELLO (31). OGNI QUALVOLTA DEGLI OGGETTI DOVESSERO COLPIRE LE PALE DELL’ELICA, CONTROLLARE IL PERFETTO AVVITAMENTO DELL’ELICA PROP LOCK.
42.5 PROBLEMI, CAUSE E RIMEDI ELICA PROP LOCK.
PROBLEMA CAUSA - RIMEDIO
E’ necessario un grande sforzo per ruotare il pomello bianco.
Il pomello è stato danneggiato, va sostituito.*
Anche se la spina dell’albero è nella corretta posizione nella sede dell’elica, la frizione saltella e lo scooter non avanza.
La spina di trazione è stata danneggiata (piegata) e va sostituita.
Il mozzo dell’elica è stato danneggiato va sostituito.* Stringendo il pomello bianco, gira a vuoto e non ferma l’elica.
E’ stata impiegata troppa forza nello stringere il
pomello e si è danneggiato, va sostituito.* Stringendo la vite sul pomello, gira a vuoto. Il pomello è stato danneggiato, va sostituito*
*operazioni da eseguire in centro di assistenza autorizzata SUEX.
Nota:
Utilizzando l’elica prop lock, si monta un tipo di elica che è di ingombro maggiore rispetto a quella standard, (il pomello bianco sporge in più). Questo significa che quando appoggiamo l’ADV sul convogliatore,
in posizione verticale, dobbiamo fare maggior attenzione. Eventuali colpi all’elica (più sporgente) potrebbero danneggiare sia l’elica prop lock che L’ADV.

43 CRUISE CONTROL E IMPUGNATURA GIREVOLE.
43.1 DESCRIZIONE.
Nel dispositivo di comando dell’ADV (fig. 11) troviamo: il grilletto, una impugnatura (43B) un pomolo di fissaggio (43A), una vite di blocco pomolo (43D), un pomolo di fissaggio accessori (43C), due sedi per accessori (46) e il cruise control (43). L’impugnatura può essere posizionata a destra come nella foto (fig. 11) o a sinistra, per ruotare l’impugnatura, svitare il pomolo (43A) senza estrarlo, ruotare l’impugnatura, riposizionarla e riavvitare il pomolo. L’impugnatura ha quattro posizioni due di utilizzo e due per il trasporto. La sede (46) è utile per utilizzare gli accessori opzionali. Il pomello cruise control va utilizzato spostandolo dall’alto al basso, esso trattiene il grilletto in posizione, mantenendo la velocità impostata.
IL POMELLO (43) PUO’ ESSERE MONTATO A DESTRA O SINISTRA DELLA MANIGLIA

NOTA SULLA SICUREZZA:
Il pomello cruise control (43)( vedi fig.11), deve essere utilizzato
solo sotto il massimo controllo della situazione da parte del
subacqueo. Deve essere possibile in qualunque momento
intervenire sul pomello stesso, sul grilletto o sull’interruttore di
accensione dell’ADV, al fine di evitare qualsiasi tipo di rischio di collisione o di trascinamento del subacqueo in zone pericolose.

Il pomello va utilizzato unicamente per il blocco della velocità, regolata al massimo al 50% della potenza disponibile. Bloccare l’avvio dell’ADV alla massima potenza è potenzialmente pericoloso. Durante il normale utilizzo dell’ADV il pomello deve essere ruotato completamente in senso antiorario e così bloccato, in modo tale che non vada in alcun modo a fermare il normale ritorno del grilletto. Agire sul pomello, unicamente con la forza delle dita dita. IN OGNI CASO, PRESTARE LA MASSIMA ATTENZIONE DURANTE L’UTILIZZO DEL POMELLO DI CRUISE CONTROL, IN QUANTO QUESTA OPERAZIONE POTREBBE ESSERE POTENZIALMENTE PERICOLOSA
44 DISPOSITIVO BY PASS.
Il dispositivo denominato “BY PASS” è un dispositivo riconoscibile come un pomello bianco (50) (vedi fig.13) posto sul lato sinistro del gruppo motore, esattamente opposto all’interruttore generale, connette elettricamente in modo diretto, la batteria al motore elettrico, escludendo qualsiasi altro componente normalmente utilizzato per il funzionamento elettrico dell’ADV: grilletto, regolazione della velocità, controllo elettronico.
Questo dispositivo è realizzato con lo scopo di dare la possibilità di
utilizzare l’ADV anche con una eventuale anomalia al controllo
elettronico o al sensore di comando, solo e unicamente in quel
caso. L’utilizzo di questo dispositivo è potenzialmente pericoloso
in quanto una volta azionato, avvia il motore in modo continuo e
l’unico controllo possibile è quello dello spegnimento tramite l’interruttore generale o tramite lo stesso pomello del by pass. Si ricorda ancora che uno specifico corso di addestramento è assolutamente indispensabile per poter utilizzare l’ADV in assoluta sicurezza.
NON RUOTARE MAI IL POMELLO BY PASS (50) (vedi fig. 13) SE NON ASSOLUTAMENTE CERTI DI AVERE IL COMPLETO E ASSOLUTO CONTROLLO DELL’ADV, RUOTARE IL POMELLO CON L’INTERRUTTORE IN POSIZIONE ON PORTA ALL’AVVIO IMMEDIATO DELL’ADV.
SI RICORDA ULTERIORMENTE CHE L’ADV DEVE POTER ESSERE ABBANDONATO
IN QUALSIASI MOMENTO. NON UTILIZZARE SISTEMI DI TRAINO NON FACILMENTE
SVINCOLABILI DAL SUBACQUEO.

44.1 FUNZIONAMENTO
QUESTO DISPOSITIVO VA UTILIZZATO SOLO E UNICAMENTE DURANTE L’IMMERSIONE E SOLO SE SI DOVESSE VERIFICARE UNO DEI DUE SEGUENTI MALFUNZIONAMENTI:
1. Nonostante l’interruttore sia ruotat o in posizione ON premendo il grilletto l’ADV non si avvia (con la batteria carica);
2. In seguito ad un urto in immersione, il grilletto si è danneggiato non è più possibile utilizzarlo.
SE SIETE ASSOLUTAMENTE SICURI DI ESSERE NELLE CONDIZIONI SIA AMBIENTALI CHE PSICOLOGICHE DI POTER GESTIRE UNA SITUAZIONE COME QUELLA DI UN ADV CHE NON FUNZIONE PIU’ CORRETTAMENTE, PROCEDERE COME DI SEGUITO ALTRIMENTI ABBANDONARE L’ADV.
Ruotare il pomello dell’interruttore generale (6) (vedi fig.1) in senso antiorario ed
acceratrsi che l’ADV non si avvii. (AZIONE DI SPEGNERE L’ADV);
Ruotare il pomello del By Pass (50) (vedi fig. 13) in senso orario, a fondo, senza
forzare;
Ruotare il pomello dell’interruttore generale (6) in senso orario, l’ADV si avvia in
modo continuo. Se non lo fa l’ADV è rotto, abbandonarlo o recuperarlo;
Ruotare il pomello dell’interruttore generale (6) in senso antiorario per arrestare
l’ADV.
Accendere e spegnere l’ADV tramite l’interruttore generale in modo deciso ma senza forzare. Nelle normali condizioni di utilizzo il pomello del dispositivo di By Pass deve essere ruotato
SEMPRE E COMPLETAMENTE in senso antiorario fino in fondo. IL DISPOSITIVO DI BY PASS VA UTILIZZATO SOLO E UNICAMENTE SE SI DOVESSE VERIFICARE UN INCONVENIENTE ELETTRONICO E SOLO SE L’IMMERSIONE E’ GIA’ IN CORSO. NON UTILIZZARE QUESTO DISPOSITIVO PER FAR FUNZIONARE ABITUALMENTE L’ADV.

44.2 CORRETTO COMPORTAMENTO IN IMMERSIONE UTILIZZANDO
IL DISPOSITIVO
BY PASS
Se si è in immersione con dei compagni, avvisarli immediatamente che il vostro ADV ha un malfunzionamento e che state per utilizzare il BY PASS. I vostri compagni dovranno restare ad una distanza di sicurezza da voi di almeno 6 metri, se la visibilità non co nsente questa distanza in sicurezza, NON UTILIZZATE IL BY PASS trainate a pinne l’ADV o abbandonatelo. Durante l’immersione trainati da un ADV che sta utilizzando il sistema BY PASS, dovete essere assolutamente sicuri, che tutta la vostra attrezzatura, gas, erogatori e tutto quanto
indispensabile per la vostra sicurezza nell’ambiente acquatico sia in ordine e funzionante, NON E’ CONSENTITO GESTIRE PIU’
ATTREZZATURE MALFUNZIONANTI, SI CREA UNA SITUAZIONE PERICOLOSISSIMA POTETE ANCHE MORIRE.
Durante la navigazione con l’utilizzo del BY PASS, la mano destra deve
essere sempre pronta alla rotazione in senso antiorario del pomello dell’interruttore, E’ IL MODO PIU’ DIRETTO PER ARRESTARE L’ADV. Durante la navigazione con l’utilizzo del BY PASS dovete essere sempre pronti a lasciare in qualsiasi momento l’ADV anche tagliando la fune di traino, RICORDARSI SEMPRE DI
CURARE LA MANUTENZIONE DEL MOSCHETTONE E PORTARE CON SE’ UN AFFILATO COLTELLO O ALTRO MEZZO PER TAGLIARE LA FUNE.
Se lasciate l’ADV libero senza alcun vincolo con il BY PASS azionato, (lo
stesso vale anche per l’utilizzo del cruise control, vedi capitolo
precedente) esso partirà in modo autonomo e non ci sarà alcun modo
peri fermarlo fino a quando non si sarà completamente esaurita la
batteria. E’ sotto vostra completa responsabilità lasciare un ADV libero di andare a colpire qualsiasi cosa o persona a grande velocità e GRANDE FORZA DI IMPATTO. SUEX S.r.l. non sarà assolutamente responsabile per qualsiasi danno a cose a persone provocati sia da un inappropriato uso del dispositivo BY PASS o CRUISE CONTROL che da un’ADV abbandonato alla libera navigazione privo di alcun vincolo al subacqueo. Si ricorda ulteriormente che il dispositivo BY PASS è da utilizzare sono in caso di assoluta emergenza, ma si ricorda anche che, come ripetuto più volte in questo manuale, l’ADV
NON E’ UN MEZZO DI SALVATAGGIO! UNA VOLTA UTILIZZATO IL DISPOSITIVO BY PASS, L’ADV DEVE ESSERE MANDATO IN UN CENTRO DI ASSISTENZA AUTORIZZATA PER I CONTROLLI E COLLAUDI NECESSARI.
44.3 BY PASS PROTEZIONE DEL POMOLO.
Il pomolo del by pass deve sempre essere protetto con lo speciale click-cap. La protezione click-cap può essere rimossa solo ed esclusivamente quando si sta per utilizzare il dispositivo by pass. Non rimuovere la protezione per nessuna altra ragione. La protezione serve per evitare qualsiasi accidentale attivazione del sistema by pass. (fig.13-51)

45 SUEX DRIVE
Il subacqueo che utilizza il Computer Suex T1 in combinazione con lo scooter Suex XJ37 ha la possibilità di disporre informazioni trasmesse dallo scooter al subacqueo via wireless :
Stato di carica della batteria in tempo reale in % Tempo di percorrenza istantaneo basato sull’assorbimento in tempo reale Stato di carica della batteria tracciato dal computer Suex T1 ed incluso come
informazione disponibile nel dive log assieme al tempo, alla profondità ed alla temperatura.
Il computer Suex T1 può essere indossato al polso o montato sullo scooter per
mezzo di un apposito supporto.
DRIVe ™ funziona separatamente con ogni scooter subacqueo Suex dotato di
questo sistema e pertanto è possibile l’utilizzo di più scooter in sequenza durante un’immersione
Le batterie LI-ION con a bordo il sistema DRIVe ™ comunicano via NFC con lo smartphone dotato di NFC ed i dati possono essere letti tramite l’applicazione per Android (Apple in sviluppo):
Con DPV LOG l’utente può leggere, salvare e condividere alcuni dati essenziali
della batteria (vedi immagine)

46 GARANZIA
Ogni ADV viene collaudato in immersione in fabbrica e immesso nel mercato dopo l’esito positivo di tutti i collaudi necessari compresa la verifica della perfetta tenuta stagna. In caso di allagamento (per allagamento si intende la presenza del liquido in cui l’ADV è stato immerso, dentro l’involucro stagno) la garanzia sarà a discrezione di SUEX S.r.l.. Le spese di trasporto e imballaggio verso o dalla sede di SUEX S.r.l. dai paesi extra UE sono a carico dell’acquirente.
Il prodotto (esclusa la batteria) è garantito contro i difetti di costruzione per un periodo di anni due, dalla data di acquisto comprovata dalla documentazione di vendita, ad esclusione di:
uso non conforme o diverso da quello previsto o illustrato nel presente manuale;
negligenza, tentativi di riparazione o modifica da parte di personale non autorizzato;
espressamente da SUEX S.r.l. tale da menomare la corretta funzionalità o impedire un'adeguata verifica e collaudo al fine di soddisfare la richiesta di intervento in garanzia;
prodotti affittati su base temporanea;
graffi o danni ad ogni superficie, dovuti al normale utilizzo del prodotto da parte del
consumatore;
normale logoramento, usura o deterioramento;
danni dovuti a trasporto, cadute o incidenti.
Le batterie in dotazione ai nostri ADV, sono garantite per un periodo di mesi 3, ad esclusione di:
difetti dovuti a danneggiamenti, errato utilizzo, incidenti, manomissione, negligenz a
o incuria e in caso di alterazioni o riparazioni effettuate da persone non autorizzate tali da menomare la corretta funzionalità o impedire un'adeguata verifica e collaudo al fine di soddisfare la richiesta di intervento in garanzia;
difetti o danni risultanti da un utilizzo del prodotto in condizioni diverse da quelle
descritte nel presente manuale;
difetti o danni derivanti da errati controlli, operazioni, manutenzioni, installazioni,
adattamenti, applicazioni non autorizzate, o da qualsiasi altra alterazione o modifica di qualsiasi genere;
rottura o danni a cavi o connessioni se non dovute direttamente a difetti di materiali
o lavorazione;
difetti o danni dovuti ad umidità, liquidi, o corpi estranei immessi all’interno del
pacco batterie o che abbiano ossidato qualsiasi parte della batteria.

47 CONFORMITÀ ROHS E WEEE
In riferimento alla Normativa RoHS (the Restriction of Hazardous Substances), SUEX S.r.l. dichiara che tutti i prodotti immessi nel mercato europeo sono conformi alle seguenti normative europee, recepite in Italia dal decreto legislativo n. 151 del 25/07/2005:
1) Direttiva Europea 2002/95/CE del 27 gennaio 2003, sulla restrizione dell'uso delle seguenti sostanze pericolose all'interno delle apparecchiature elettriche ed elettroniche, e quindi gli articoli non contengono delle concentrazioni che superino i limiti consentiti per le seguenti sostanze:
• Piombo
• Cromo esavalente (Cr+6)
• Mercurio (Hg)
• Bifenili polibromurati (PBB)
• Cadmio (Cd)
• Etere di difenile polibromurato (PBDE)
2) Direttiva Europea 2002/96/CE del 27 gennaio 2003, o WEEE (rifiuti di apparecchiature elettriche ed elettroniche), che fissa i criteri specifici in materia di raccolta, movimentazione e riciclo dei rifiuti di natura elettrica ed elettronica.
Informazioni per l’utente
1. I rifiuti di apparecchiature elettriche ed elettroniche (RAEE) non possono essere trattati come rifiuti domestici ma si dovrebbe fare una raccolta differenziata a parte.
2. Consultare le normative vigenti per il giusto smaltimento dei RAEE.
3. Le apparecchiature elettriche ed elettroniche potrebbero avere potenziali effetti pericolosi sull’ambiente e sulla salute dovuta alla presenza di sostanze pericolose.
4. Il simbolo RAEE è presente su ogni dispositivo e consiste in un bidone sbarrato – come in figura – con una barra orizzontale che identifica le apparecchiature elettriche ed elettroniche messe in commercio dopo il 13 Agosto 2005.
5. I consumatori di apparecchiature elettriche ed elettroniche sono tenuti a riutilizzare e riciclare i RAEE.
6. I consumatori dovrebbero controllare e verificare le informazioni riportate nella pubblicazione fatta dal rivenditore in negozio.
