For ease of installation, Wolf recommends using 39" (991) wide cabinets with the 36" single (914) oven. The cabinet base platform must be able to support 250 lbs (113 kg).
Refer to the following illustrations for overall dimensions, installation specifications and electrical location for the 36" (914) single oven.
The 36" (914) single oven requires a separate, grounded 4-wire 240/208 V AC, 60 Hz, 30 amp service with its own circuit breaker. It is provided with a 3' (.9 m) flexible 4-wire conduit, which can make a connection at an electrical box. Refer to Electrical Requirements on page 12. The oven is not supplied with an electrical plug.
IMPORTANT NOTE:

INSTALLATION OPTIONS
he 36" (914) single oven may be installed
T below a Wolf 36" (914) electric or gas cooktop. Unless you are using cabinets deeper than
4" (610), it is recommended that the electrical
2 supply be placed in the base cabinet to the right of the oven within reach of the conduit. The 36" (914) single oven may also be installed below a Wolf 30" (762) framed electric cooktop, but not below a 30" (762) unframed electric cooktop or 30" (762) gas cooktop.
When a 36" (914) oven is installed below a cooktop, it is recommended that the rough opening for the oven be 7
3
/4" (197) from the
floor to ease the use of the oven door. A 36" (914) single oven may be installed
directly above another 36" (914) oven. You must allow enough space between oven rough openings to accommodate a base platform for the top oven. Each cabinet base platform must be able to support 250 lbs (113 kg).
A Wolf 36" (914) single oven may be installed next to another 36" (914) oven. You must allow

Total amps:
21 amps for 30" (762) and 36" (914) single ovens; 37 amps for the double oven.
The built-in oven is provided with a conduit consisting of two insulated hot lead conductors (copper), one insulated neutral conductor (copper), and one uninsulated ground conductor (copper).
The complete appliance must be properly grounded at all times when electrical power is applied.
Grounding through the neutral conductor is prohibited for new branch-circuit installations (1996 NEC); mobile homes; and recreational vehicles, or in an area w
here local codes prohibit grounding
through the neutral conductor. If aluminum house supply wiring is
utilized, splice the appliance copper wir to the aluminum house wiring using special connectors design and agency certified for joining copper and aluminum. Follow the connector manufacturer's recommended procedure carefully. NOTE: Improper connection can result in a fire hazard.
e
With the oven positioned directly in front of the cabinet opening, feed the appliance cable through the opening in the cabinet platform (where applicable). Then, depending upon local codes, utilize one of the following techniques to connect the appliance to the electrical power supply.
12
For UL installations:
attach the conductors to the residence wiring in accordance with National Electrical Codes and all state, municipal and local codes.
For CSA installations:
attach the conductors to the fuse box provided. Then connect the residence wiring to the fuse box in accordance with all national, provincial and local codes.

INSTALLING THE OVEN
FOUR-WIRE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
To connect to a four-wire electrical system, follow these steps:
Separate the ground and white appliance wires.
Connect the white appliance wire to the neutral (white) supply wire in the electrical box.
Connect the black appliance wire to the black (L1) power supply wire in the electrical box.
Connect the red appliance wire to the red (L2) power supply wire in the electrical box.
Connect the ground appliance wire to the green/ground house grounding wire in the electrical box.
THREE-WIRE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
To connect to a three-wire electrical system, follow these steps: Connecting the ground appliance wire to the neutral (white) supply wire (where local codes permit).
POSITION THE OVEN
T
he oven is very heavy—use caution when lifting. It is recommended that two people lift and position the oven into the opening. Wear gloves to protect hands from any sharp edges.
Holding the oven by the upper edge and bottom side of the oven chassis, carefully lift the oven up to the cabinet opening.
Resting the oven on the cabinet base platform, slide the oven into the opening until it is approximately 6" (152) from full insertion. If applicable, ensure that the appliance cable slides through the opening in the cabinet platform as the oven is slid into place.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
The appliance cable must be placed in the recessed area located along the right rear vertical edge of the oven. Make sure that the cable is not trapped between the oven and the inner cabinet wall.
Connect the ground and white appliance wires to the neutral (white) supply wire in the electrical box.
Connect the black appliance wire to the black (L1) power supply wire in the electrical box.
Connect the red appliance wire to the red (L2) power supply wir
e in the electrical box.
Do not block the oven air exhaust located at the bottom of the oven. Blocking the exhaust may cause cabinet damage and poor baking performance.

INSTALLING THE OVEN
MOUNT OVEN TO CABINET
nce the oven is fully inserted into the cabinet
O opening, locate the mounting holes on the oven side trim. There will be four for a single
ven and six for a double oven. Refer to the
o illustration below. Use a
1
/16" drill bit to drill pilot holes into the cabinet. Use the provided wood screws to secure the oven to the cabinet through the oven mounting holes.
Failure to install the mounting screws may cause the oven to move or tip forward during use. This may result in damage to the oven or personal injur
y.
VERIFY O VEN OPERATION
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Prior to operating the oven, be sure to read the entire Wolf Built-In Ovens Use & Care Information included with the oven for important safety, service and warranty information.
Unpack the box containing the oven components found in each oven cavity. Install the
ven rack guides onto the shoulder screws
o located on the interior side walls of the oven. Slide the oven racks onto the support racks
ithin the oven. There are three racks per
w oven. Place the broiler pan and grid on a rack within the oven, if desired.
Turn on the power supply to the oven. The oven control panel should be closed (no visible control pads). Rotate the control panel to the open position (controls visible) by pressing the button below the center of the panel.
Set the time of day by pressing the
CLOCK
touch pad, input the desired time by using the number pads, then touch
ENTER
.
Select any of the eight cooking modes on the control panel. Verify that the oven is coming up to temperature. For the double oven, be sure to verify operation of both ovens.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
A small amount of smoke and odor may be noticed during the initial break-in period. Refer to the Use & Care Information for additional information.
