Drawer is heavy, use care not to damage drawer
slides or scratch frame of unit.

ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD - DISCONNECT
ELECTRICAL SUPPLY TO UNIT BEFORE ATTEMPT­ING THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURES.

COMPONENT ACCESS AND REMOVAL

This section explains how to access and remove components from a Cup Warming Drawer, model CW24.

An attempt has been made to arrange these procedures in such a way as to simulate which components would
need to be removed first in order to gain access to other components. When following a component removal
procedure, it may be necessary to reference another component removal procedure listed earlier in this section.

NOTE: Before continuing, please take note of the WARNINGS and CAUTIONS below.

- IF IT IS NECESSARY TO REMOVE A WARMING DRAWER UNIT FROM ITS INSTALLATION, REMEMBER
THAT THEY ARE HEAVY AND COULD FALL RESULTING IN SERIOUS INJURY. PULLING A UNIT FROM
ITS INSTALLATION SHOULD ONLY BE PERFORMED BY A TRAINED AUTHORIZED SERVICE
TECHNICIAN OR INSTALLER.

- TO AVOID ELECTRIC SHOCK, POWER TO A WARMING DRAWER UNIT MUST BE DISCONNECTED
WHENEVER ACCESSING AND/OR REMOVING COMPONENTS POWERED BY ELECTRICITY OR
COMPONENTS NEAR OTHER ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS.

- Metal edges may be sharp. Use caution when servicing unit to avoid personal injury.

- The heating element can get very hot. To avoid personal injury use caution when servicing the unit,
making sure the heater has cooled before working on or around it.

- If accessing components under the shell, the insulation must be properly reinstalled and positioned.
Failure to do so may lead to damage to the surrounding cabinetry.

- Low voltage is used for most electronic control components. To avoid damaging the appliance, DO NOT
apply 115V AC to electronic control components.

Anti-sliding Liner

To remove the anti-sliding liner, first open the cup warm­ing drawer, then lift the anti-sliding liner by the tappered
corner located in the right rear or left front of the drawer.

Tray and Front Cover Assembly

To remove the tray and front cover assembly, first open
the cup warming drawer, then (See Figure 3-1):

1. Use a T-20 to extract two screws entering the left
and right slide horizontally.

2. Use a T-10 to extract the two screws entering the
left and right slide vertically.

3. Pull the tray and cover assembly forward and lift
from the slides.

Right and Left Slides

The right slide includes the Push To Open (PTO)
assembly. To remove either slide, first remove the tray
and cover assembly, then (See Figure 3-2):

1. Remove the unit from the installation.

2. Use a T-20 to extract the four screws on the lower
side of the cup warming drawer, on the side of the
slide to be removed.

3. Remove the slide.

Exhaust Fan, User Interface, and Exhaust
Fan Cover

To remove the exhaust fan assembly, first remove the
tray and cover assembly, then (See Figure 3-3):

1. Remove the unit from the installation.

2. Remove the power cord from the back of the unit.

3. Use a T-20 to extract the four screws on the left side
of the unit holding the exhaust fan assembly.

User Interface and Exhaust Fan Cover

To remove the user interface and exhaust fan cover, first
remove the fan assembly, exhaust fan cover, and user
interface, then (See Figure 3-4):

1. Use a T-20 to extract the six screws on the top
and bottom of the exhaust fan cover.

2. Lift the rear of the exhaust fan cover and push it for­ward over the fan retaining screws.

3. Disconnect the six pin connector from the user inter­face.

4. Disconnect the ground wire spade connector from
the fan assembly support.

User Interface

To remove the user interface, first remove the exhaust
fan cover, with the user interface attached, then (See
Figure 3-5):

1. Use a flat bladed screw driver to depress the two
tabs on the back of the user face at the top, while
pushing the user interface out of the exhaust fan
cover.

2. Use a flat bladed screw driver to depress the two
tabs on the back of the user face at the bottom,
while pushing the user interface out of the exhaust
fan cover.

3. Remove the user interface.

Exhaust Fan and Heater

To remove the exhaust fan and heater, first remove the
exhaust fan cover and user interface, then (See Figure
3-6):

1. Use a T-20 to extract the four screws on the bottom
of the fan cover.

2. Disconnect the red and white wire from the male
side of the power cord receptacle.

Male Power Receptacle

To remove the male power receptacle, first remove the
exhaust fan cover and user interface, then (See Figure
3-6):

1. Use a T-20 to extract the four screws on the bottom
of the fan cover.

2. Depress the tabs on the inside of the fan cover to
remove the male power receptacle.

Tray and Front Cover Removal

To remove the tray and front cover as seperate parts,
first remove the tray and front cover as an assembly
from the cup warming drawer, then:

1. Use a T-20 to extract the six screws going into the
drawer back and the left and right bracket (See
Figure 3-7).

2. Remove the drawer back.

3. Use a T-20 to extract the four screws attaching the
front cover to the bottom of the tray (See Figure 3-

8).

4. Use a T-20 to extract the four screws attaching the
front of the tray to the front cover (See Figure 3-9).

5. Seperate the front cover and tray.

Cavity Top

To remove the cavity top, first remove the tray and front
cover as an assembly from the cup warming drawer,
then (See Figure 3-10):

1. Use a T-20 to extract the six screws, three on each
side.

2. Use a T-20 to extract the three screws at the back
bottom of the cavity top.

3. Remove the cavity top.

Right and Left Trim

To remove the right or left trim, first remove the cavity
top, then (See Figure 3-11):

1. Use a T-20 to extract the two screws from the trim
piece.

2. Rotate the back of the trim piece forward.

3. Slide the trim down the support tab and off the unit.

Cavity Cover

To remove the cavity cover, first remove the cavity top,
then (See Figure 3-12):

1. Use a drill to drill out the seven M3 x 5 mm pop riv­ets on each side of the unit

2. Pull the cavity cover forward out of the unit.

NOTE: Order new pop rivets from the Parts Manual.

Lower Trim, and Upper Trim

To remove the lower and upper trim, first remove the
cavity top, then (See Figure 3-12):

1. Use a drill to drill out the seven M3 x 5mm pop riv­ets.

2. Remove the upper and lower trim.
